So I had heard a lot of good things about these shoes and I had always been interested to purchase one and I finally did! These shoes look attractive and stylish, and they do look exactly the same as the pictures (color wise), so that was a good first impression. My shoe size has always been between 8 and 8.5, so I ordered a pair of size 8. They felt light and quite comfortable, except the toe area that was a bit tight. They were alright except I was a bit concerned whether I should have ordered one size bigger. Long story short I decided to wear them and I have been wearing them now for almost one month and they have become my new favorite shoes. I guess the narrow toes part doesn't feel tight anymore, and I'm glad I didn't return them and asked for one size larger because I don't like to feel too much extra room in my shoes. I know some people who do. I'm glad I decided to buy these shoes and I will definitely buy another pair (or two!). Highly recommended.

I ordered these shoes as a last minute present on the Saturday before Christmas. They were delivered to my door Monday morning! I was very impressed! The shoes are great, they are everything I wanted!

I am just about to purchase my second pair of these. I wear them at the gym only, primarily for weight lifting, and the first pair has lasted about two years. My original pair is still in good shape, and has worn well in terms of overall construction, but they're getting stretched out a bit and they smell pretty bad. These shoes fit well, feel great, and look darn good too . As noted, the arch support is on the low end of moderate. These have absolutely no "bounce" to them, sort of like Chuck Taylors (but more comfortable, for me).

I've had the black/gold leather version of these for four years now. This is how they've held up: For the first two years they still looked great, it's the fourth year now and they are certainly looking tired if you more than glance - but they wear their age well. The leather is fairly tough, if very thin and flexible. It would probably cut easily if you are worried about that aspect. The soles are surprisingly long wearing for how thin and soft they are (I'm 6ft and 155lbs with very low foot pressure, though). After the first year the soles are almost totally slick in the shape of your foot, but still have most of their thickness. Now they're so thin I leave almost regular footprints, and the Dr Scholls machine at the local walmart can't tell I'm wearing shoes (mine still have almost all their tread under the arch, getting down to around 2mm under the ball...very thin). Also, they still have more grip in the wet than KSO's. The upper will stretch outward to let wider feet fit in the narrower show, if you lace them loose enough - my pinkie toes tend to hang out a bit over the edge of the sole, and the pointy toe ends up as dead space (which is why I don't like them as much for running, the pointy toe annoys me and feels a a bit floppy if I lace them as loose as I like - this is literally the only thing I can find I don't like). The insole - which was glued - in was removed (by me) after it started to tear up, and both pull tabs eventually came off, one after about three years, one just last week. And this is what I think of them: These are my favorite shoes of all time. They're comfortable - never made my feet hurt in all my years of using them in my retail job - are decent for running, and look great. Previously NB classics (576, a version from like '06 I think) made my feet sore standing at work, even tried my vibrams which are great for running.. before I tore them up...but standing/walking in them all day tired my arches more for some reason even though the Tigers are basically flats too. Also, they may be the most expensive shoes I've ever purchased, but they're also by far the best value, as any shoe half this price I've tried lasts only a quarter as long. My NB classics, while they were technically still functioning after two years they also did not age well...looked trashy. Toe cap coming off, upper busted on the side from my pinkie toe trying to break free, etc. A few things I didn't expect - they're quite warm and water resistant. Also, they never ever smell bad - especially after removing the insole. Even after four years. Couldn't stand the smell of my Vibrams or now my Columbias. Also a funny story, I was in a shop recently and heard two people comment "What the...who was in here barefoot?" after seeing the footprints I left with my Tigers...it was interesting. Anyway, enough of my ramblings - 5 stars.

I am a runner and love Asics but I bought these more for a nice shoe to wear around doing errands or whatever. They are great looking and are incredibly comfortable! I am very happy with this purchase. I wouldn't mind having a few different colors.

I love these shoes. You may have to add some support if you're looking for cushy comfort, but there is room for it. I am a woman's 9 and I buy the 7.5. Fits perfectly.

Great shoe for the hipster at heart! Not exactly an athletic shoe but feels very comfy on the feet. Awesome selection of colors for all your matching needs. I wish I could get all of them!

These are great kick around town shoes. They are stylish and fun to wear, but have zero support and little cushioning. I have not tried putting in an insert yet, but I notice my feet don't feel great after wearing for a while on hard surfaces like a street.

I love the old school look of these shoes. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on comfort is that the backs are pretty stiff for the first couple wears. I had to wear a bandage on the backs of my ankles to prevent blisters. But I find this not to be unusual with most leather gym shoes.

This is my second pair, might as well be the only shoes I own. I glued the heel tab thingy down with shoe goo to keep it from catching on long pants. Will buy another pair soon in fear of them being dropped.

These shoes are great! The shoes are true to size and feel very comfortable. They feel stiff at first because they are brand new, but wear them for a day and they will form to your feet. They look awesome with jean too! They don't have that great of arch support, so I would not get them for running. They are comfortable for walking around, going to school, work (if casual), and just going out.

I love these shoes. They are lightweight and reasonably durable. The styles and colors vary from season to season, so if you find a color set you like be sure to get two or more, as it may be a long time before those colors come back around. This is a super basic shoe, essentially zero arch support, flexible and light. Catch them on sale when the supplies of a certain color combination dwindle and it is a good deal! Sizes seem to run close to true.

I have three pairs in varying colors and I love them. They are lightweight and comfortable despite a lack of arch support. They feel great even after long walks in the city and they have a classic look that goes with just about any style; very casual t-shirt and jeans or with a blazer for a night out. Not a lot of support for someone looking for athletic shoes, but they are perfect for a stylish, yet casual look.

Got to be the most comfortable pair of shoes I've worn in a long time. My brother recommended this brand. He's had a pair of 80s and 66s for two years and they are still holding up well. I'm a true 8 (women's) and the 8 fit me perfectly lengthwise. They are just a little snug across the middle with a thin sock (I do have wide feet). I prefer minimal arch support, so if you're the same, these shoes fit the bill. The styling is fantastic as well! I can't stop looking at my feet because they just look so good. These are perfect casual shoes if you are constantly in jeans or shorts. Zappos service was excellent as always. My order was here the next day in perfect condition. Love Zappos!

I ordered the Navy/Birch model and it looked different than it does in the pictures. It actually looks more grayish. The fit is perfect, but I just expected them to look like they do in the photos. Great shoes overall.

Cute retro shoe, but it's a sock-eater! Only wearable (at least in my humble opinion) with socks with the least tendency to sag or creep into the shoe. That factor alone will prevent me from buying other colors of this style, which is a shame.

I like these so much more than the original Tigers (which were great too). Although both are relatively narrow, close-fitting shoes, these seemed more "tubular" in shape than the former, which were just slightly "flatter/wider" in the toe box area. They do seem to fit large though (not wider, just longer) and while I'm usually a 6.5 in my other Asics running shoes, I had to exchange these for a 5.5.

These are very nice. I get compliments everywhere, but they do not last long. I ripped the tabs off the rear putting on one shoe; holes forming at pinky toe on side; toe protection part of sole separated from upper after a few months. If you can darn a sock, can you darn these shoes?

I love these shoes. They're my second pair after I blew out the first one. I have low and fallen arches and these shoes don't aggravate my arches at all and are comfortable for me to walk and stand in all day. Great shoes!

I tried these zero drop Onitsuka Tigers as a lower cost alternative to the Merrell barefoot. The Tigers are more stylish and fit well on my narrow B width foot. I like that the simple design on soles do not pick up mud but they can be slippery on wet surfaces. The workmanship and leather are good quality. Overall, I believe the Merrells feel slightly better when walking but they both feel nice. After wearing high support sneaks for most of my life, it took a few weeks for my muscles to strengthen and adapt to the barefoot style. Now I would not wear anything else.
