Really like this shoe - This is my second pair. I wear them every day. I have a narrow foot and this is the only loafer type shoe that I have ever been able to wear - they make this in a narrow width. Great shoe; I'll probably buy another pair when this wears out.

Sperry Top-Sider Mako - I've worn these Topsiders for about 2 weeks now, and can write an opinion. In the past I have owned boat shoes from Sperry, LL Bean, Timberland and Sebago. These Mako's are quite comfortable with socks. Arch support is good and the sole is solid yet cushy. My only issue is that they have better heel support than most boat shoes. That, plus the 2-piece tongue, make it very hard, if not impossible, to slip on. You have to tie the shoe every time. For that reason they are relegated to office wear. I will be buying a pair of traditional Sperry’s in Oatmeal for summer wear with shorts and no socks. I can recommend them, but if you are looking to wear them like your old school Topsiders, look elsewhere.

I already have a pair of these shoes in a different color...but this pair doesn't seem to fit as well. I don't really understand how there could be that much difference. Hopefully when they break-in they'll feel better.

Casual and comfortable! These are a great all around shoe. I wear them for any casual activity and know they will look great with jeans or casual slacks. Well made and comfortable.

Comfortable and good looking...construction shaky - I like this model of topsider, but unfortunately the construction didn't hold up. Within a couple weeks, one of the seams near the outer toes had come apart, and as with a previous pair of classic topsiders, the metal eyelets on the sides of the shoe are prone to catching on things and being popped out and aren't easy to fix, resulting in a metal eyelet dangling on the leather lace. I did contact Sperry and to their credit, they responded. It's been some time now and I don't know what they offered to make it right, but I didn't take them up on it. I've worn the shoes for a few years now and the seam which came apart hasn't gotten worse at least, though I now have two eyelets which have come out. Beyond those annoyances, the shoe is durable and comfortable. I "upgraded" to the Mako because of the double layer of leather around the lower portion of the sole in hopes it would make the shoe last longer. So far, that's been the case.

Great style of the shoe and seems to run a bit larger than the basic boat shoe. Also, a lot heavier. I will wear it in bad weather or terrain.

These are a little more comfortable than the last pair that I ordered but are nowhere near the comfort of previous Mako shoes. The leather used to be soft, provided better cushioned support and had softer and more comfortable leather. The quality control is inconsistent but I continue to order hoping that Sperry will correct the problem. They were so good and consistent for decades.

I just bought four new pairs of Sperry online. As a sailor I love Sperry. One of the pairs was a Mako Canoe Moc Boat Shoe. They do not fit like the others. They are a half to one size larger and a little wider so I had to give them away after trying to wear them a couple of times. This is the second pair with the same result. Love the style but the sizing is not the same as the other styles. Very disappointing.

I take a 10 1/2 m shoe. Could barely get my foot in this. Gave me a blister just walking around the house.

The right inside of left shoe had bulge spot where stitched that made the shoe very uncomfortable and unwearable. It is a fault in craftsmanship.

I am still in the break in period with this shoe. It is taking a little longer to break them in compared to other Top Siders that I have owned. I am sure they will become my go to comfortable shoe as the other have been.

The shoe was the correct size but was very uncomfortable. The sole was to hard and it seemed a bit narrow.

Since I purchased 3 pairs of shoes and ALL have been sized Badly. I had already purchased the last ones 1 size too large to try and compensated for sizing. I think you should have your manufacturing team build Your shoes... then, take shoes built 2 sizes larger and mark them as if they were the proper size (ie. 12 1/2 to 10 1/2). W. E. B.

Fit not as comfortable as older pair. Feels sloppy size wise. Comfort sole is cheap. Needs to be more substantive and mold better to your foot structure. Would not but another pair,

This shoe is very good looking with high quality construction. However, while I ordered and received a wide width, the shoe feels narrow. I think part of the problem is the packing whereby the shoe is rigidly packed which may cause the narrowing. That said, based on past experience, after a while the shoe should conform to the specification,

Of the three brand mocs I tried including Timberland and Rockport, these were the best looking. The support is poor so I may have to buy some orthotics. They just feel weird on the bottom of my feet. The Timberlands felt better but piched my ankle. The Rockland pinched my big toe joint.

I bought a pair of these about 10 years ago and they were the most comfortable shoe I owned. They also had a removable padded insole that I could wash/squirt off after getting dirty or wet. These are not nearly as comfortable or convenient. They look great but only have a heel insole that is glued in. The front of my feet start to hurt after walking fairly short distances because of it. I've only had them a few days so hopefully they will break in nicely but given the lack of padding toward the top of my foot, I am not getting my hopes up.

These were my go to shoes until yesterday, after having these shoes for two years the sole blew out of the bottom of them. I do have other Sperry's that have lasted just as long or longer so pretty disappointed. But overall nice looking shoe and comfortable to wear even in hot weather!
