I really wanted this shoe to work for me. I was looking for something cute and comfortable for lots of walking. I also wanted to wear with dresses. With the amount of cushion the shoe fit while compresses, but was tight when I lifted my foot to walk. I didn't feel like it would be broken in within the timeframe of my trip, so it went back.

It rubbed against the sides of my heal and it wasn’t very pretty .

Very good support, style works with dresses. Does require a bit of wearing in due to the pillow insole, it will feel quite snug for a few times, then it is the most comfortable work shoe I've found. Wish it came in more colors for wide width.

This shoe could be awesome but for one thing: the top where the leather is rolled is taught and rubs right over the scar from my bunionectomy on my right foot. Not good! I love the footbed - its very cushioned and feels supportive. The toe-box gave plenty of room without feeling like my foot was swimming around. Sadly, because of where the top runs across the top of my foot they have to go back.

I have been searching for a comfortable & supportive mary jane style shoe. I love the style and quality of this shoe, but i could not get the right fit. Thank you Zappos for your return policies! The best part of this shoe is that the insole is like a memory foam egg carton. That part is super comfortable. Unfortunately, other features of the shoe were uncomfortable for me. I usually wear a 9.5 medium. I ordered that size, and could not stuff my foot into it. I returned that pair, and purchased a 10 wide. This size would have been great, however there were 2 parts of the shoe that were very uncomfortable. The sides around the ankle were high and very stiff, causing chaffing to my ankles. Also, the portion that covers the toes/top of foot dips over the toes and is also very stiff. This created pressure & chaffing on top of my toes (although the actual width was great). The quality of this show is great. It didn't fit me right, but I'm sure it could work for others. Had to send back.

These are much lighter weight than other brands of Mary Jane type shoes making them a better choice for me. Like many other reviewers, I wish these had removable insoles. If Softwalk can put removable insoles in one shoe, why not all? The insole is bumpy and rather comfortable; I hope they shape to my feet as I wear them. I usually wear an 8.5 but got a 9 in these. Couldn't have worn my usual size.

Love these shoes! It took a couple of tries to get the right size as the 8W(D) was more narrow than I expected. The 7.5 EE fits just great. Cute and edgy for a "comfort" shoe.

If you have a high arch and/or wide foot, this shoe might not be a great fit for you. I have both of those foot issues - this shoe unfortunately didn't fit at all. I liked the clasp and the footbed was very, very cushioned. I was disappointed it didn't work for me - Zappo's made the return super easy.

Loved this shoe! Unfortunately, the heel was too deep and caused uncomfortable chafing on the back of my heel. The size runs small(which I loved) but my heel is too narrow for the shoe. Sadly, I'm returning this shoe.

Cute shoe. too tight in my regular size. did NOT like the buckle. for an almost 80 yr old, too difficult. velcro would have been better. Leather stiffer than I would have expected.

I ordered these shoes before and fell in love with them they were so very comfortable and had a lot of compliments on them. However, this time they have a smell that is so very strong and I had to put them in the garage to air out it has been two days and the smell is still strong. I am so hurt because I would order these shoes for the rest of my life that is how much I loved the first pair I ever owned but the jury is still out on the second pair.

I loved these shoes at first, but after wearing them about 4 times, I found that my big toe was feeling like the toe room was too narrow and I was feeling some pain. I've stopped wearing them for a few days to see if that helps. I hate that I'm feeling discomfort after I thought they would be okay.

I have terrible feet, neuropathy from chemotherapy, super sensitive, bunions, plus a work related injury. I wanted good walking shoes for an upcoming vacation during which I will be doing a lot of walking. These are keepers, very cute, not nearly as clunky as I was afraid from the pictures. Did, for me, require some break in time, leather was a little stiff and a tad scratchy, if not wearing light socks, around the strap. I love the footbed.

I love the look of these shoes, and the WW size is perfect for my post-bunion-surgery feet. The Dansko XP is too narrow, for reference. The downside is the heel is a bit stiff and high. It's irritating my heels. So far I have not worn them for longer than a few hours, for trips to the grocery and errands, because of the stiff heel. Because they are so handsome, and look very good with jeans, I'm hoping that the heel softens a bit with time.

Very comfortable for both standing and walking. Works well with slacks, to wear to work. I wear a narrow shoe and ordered both a narrow and a slim, to compare them, and strangely the slim was wider than the narrow. For the narrow, the width is about as expected.

I purchased these shoes for my daughter's school uniform. Since the beginning of the school year, she's already grown 2 full sizes and I couldn't find any school uniform shoes in town. Our uniform store said they wouldn't have stock until next summer! Every other shoe had some sort of color or design in it, and they are pretty strict about the uniform requirements. I was concerned about spending the money on these because she grows so fast, and because she's only 9, but for our kids, the growing usually subsides for the winter. I looked at stride rite, crocs, and a few other brands, but ultimately decided that if these shoes would help her be comfortable all day long and good for her feet, then it was worth it. She loves these shoes! She says that her feet never hurt and she's always comfortable. In her school, they stand a lot for speech meets and prayers, etc. and I'm glad that she has shoes that help her stay on her feet and don't cause her pain. They fit her well, width and length, true to size. She is already wearing the strap on the last hole, but she has high arches and they're not too tight. The only reason I put 4/5 stars for overall is because after only 3 days of wearing them to school, the black on her right shoe started to wear off and you can see the brown underneath. At first it looked like dirt, but nope. I asked her what she was doing at school, and apparently she rubs her foot on the desk as a nervous habit. We talked about alternatives and she has since stopped. I haven't polished the shoes yet, but I'm hopeful that they will be fine. I suppose that her nervous habit shouldn't speak to the quality of the shoes, but for that pricey of a shoe, and in only 3 days, I have a hard time with that.

These felt tight when I first put them on, but became soft and giving when worn. If you are close to the next size, do go up as they do start to feel snug later in the day.

Ordered half a size larger and a full size wider. There was no way I could wear them without crippling myself. It's a shame because they are so so so gorgeous.
