Pretty, but they're not. They are tough and easy on easy off. Perhaps the most comfortable odd looking shoes for folks with high arches like me.

I swore I would never wear these shoes...I work in fashion, but ever since I developed fallen arches these are the only shoes that are comfortable. Now I love Danskos! LOVE THEM! And now clogs are coming back into style!!!

Unstable...watch your ankles!! These shoes are incredibly comfortable and supportive. However, they are on a narrow base, and it is easy to roll an ankle while wearing them. If you are prone to ankle sprains, be careful with these. Also, my personal opinion is that they are very ugly.

Next to my old slouchie Birkenstocks, these are the most comfortable shoes I've worn. I'm on my feet for 12-hour shifts on hard hospital floors, and this shoe is great. I have an EE-width foot with a very high arch, and was a little worried about the fit. The next size up would have been too long, so for $5 my local shoe repair shop stretched the instep arch a bit. Now I have a custom fit and happy feet!

The color was great. But this size was too narrow and a bit snug. The size above was a little too big. So I could use a size in between the two.

I wear a 12 N or M depending on the shoe style. This shoe felt as tho the arch was short and allowed my foot to feel unsupported from the middle of my arch to the ball of my foot. My toe also slightly bumped the end but I think that may have been due to the arch location. Sent them back. Too bad as they made my feet look small and when you wear a 23 that's a good thing!

I’m a clog wearing teacher and my last clogs lasted 8 years. I had a brown suede pair with a lighter colored sole and a black leather pair. Both pairs’ soles cracked right across the middle within weeks of each other. Replacing the black ones was no problem, but these brown ones, are sized strangely. The 7.5 was tight, and the 8.5 was massive. It’s just as well though, they are sooo sooo soo soo dark brown. My last ones were a more chocolate-y color. Nevertheless, clogs ARE the best. On my feet all day, as a teacher, and my feet NEVER hurt. They are also cute enough to wear outside of work with jeans and such.

Comfortable, but beware... I've had a pair of Dansko Professionals for a bit over a year, and they are the most comfortable shoes I can remember owning. HOWEVER, they have one serious defect: they tip to the side on uneven terrain. This has nothing to do with weak ankles or clumsy feet, it is simply because the sole of the shoe is narrow and high. If you intend to wear the shoes indoors, or live in a place with smooth sidewalks, its not a problem. But if you intend to walk outside on uneven sidewalks, you will find yourself stumbling constantly. I walk a couple of miles a day to and from work in Cambridge, MA, and I trip every day without fail- usually multiple times. For me, the comfort of the shoes simply outweights this defect.

Not Overwhelmed as I'd hoped - Okay, People rave about this shoe. half the people in medicine wear these shoes. I've had mine for 5 days and I'm not overwhelmed. I'm hoping they will still break in to be much more comfortable- and they aren't bad, but I was really hoping these would be something incredible as I'm on my feet all day long (sometimes for more then 24 hours while on call). I like them, they look great, and feel okay for normal use, but they don't seem to be better then good tennis shoes yet for on-your-feet-all-day comfort. Still hoping they will break in more.

I'm returning them. Unfortunately the fit is a bit weird for my feet. A little tight on the top of my foot and my heel pops out of the back. So I don't think getting a smaller size would work, with the tightness in the top portion of the shoe.

I tried the narrow and was too tight so I decided to try the medium after I was told you need to have some "slipping" room. I have been treated for bad P.F. and have a spur on my right heel. The left shoe fits like a glove, but the right KILLS my foot. My feet are boney and the right shoe is really painful to wear. I had read a review with the same problem and I should have realized these weren’t the shoes for me. I’m going to continue to occasionally wear and try to break-in, but it will be slow. Sorry I couldn't give a good review, but I probably won't purchase another pair.

I love this Dankso clog style. But wow! How hugely I've paid for the beauty, because simply walking around my carpeted condo, my foot flipped over and I injured one of the bones in my foot. I've been limping for over two weeks, and in pain. And I've heard, now, from other people, that this is not an unusual occurrence!

Really beautiful shoes and comfortable once I finally got the right size. You have to get used to that Dansko shoe feeling where your foot lifts slightly out of the shoe with each step, but once that's locked in, it's a great shoe and sturdy. I had to go up two sizes to get the right fit which is odd.

I wear a 5.5 shoe and probably a 5 W. I ordered a 36 W and my foot was swimming. The 36 is the smallest size this model comes in. I'll need to look for some other style.

Last year I bought this same shoe in black. This year I'm adding a brown pair. I love the closed back for winter. Just a great, comfortable shoe.

This is my sixth pair of Dansko Clogs, and I just love them. I have back and knee problems and I have to stand on my feet a lot throughout the day. The days that I wear my Danskos I feel better then the days that I don't, so now I am only wearing my Danskos and have thrown out my other Shoes. In fact with all of the nice new colors that they have out, I am going to be placing an order for two additional pairs. I am a Dansko LOVER FOR LIFE. Zappos is the only place that I purchase my Shoes from also. I love their quick delivery that I get from them and if I ever have a question about a color their Reps are very efficient in helping me out.

Professional Espresso Oiled Full Grain in Wide: Nice color, quality leather. Returning to wearing Danskos after wearing MBTs for the last 5 years because of the better arch support found in Danskos. So happy that Dansko has improved upon the overall quality of their clogs (reinforced toe, heel cup, stabilizing inner frame, better shock absorbing outsole) and that they are now available in wide widths. I don't think I have extremely wide feet, but wide enough that I'd have to break in medium width clogs for weeks before wearing them to work. My only complaint is that Dansko clogs still have relatively unpadded leather insoles. I just wish they would start padding their insoles and/or start making their XP clogs (the only clogs they have that come with removable, memory foam insoles) in wide widths.

I always thought Danskos were super uncomfortable...until I tried the wide version. These are my absolute favorite, want to wear them all the time, go to shoe. They were supreme from the first moment I stepped into them. I am on my feet all day and these never disappoint.

These shoes are excellent. I am constantly on my feet at work, and these are the only shoes that do not make my feet hurt. I have slightly wider feet so I order wide width and they are perfect! I have been wearing Dansko for years and they last. Worth every penny.

Beautiful polished shoe! Hate to wear it out in the salt/sand/slush so will reserve it for indoor use only!

So comfortable! My back doesn't ache at all after a long 12-13 hour shift at the hospital. Break in time is minimal. They do run big, I ordered a 37 and I'm a 6.5. I wear socks but they still feel a little big. The color goes with everything too!

These are the most comfortable things you will ever put on your feet! They are worth every penny. They are so comfortable that when I get home and switch to my slippers, my feet prefer my Danskos.

Wasn't sure how well I liked the way my heel flipped in and out of the back. After talking to someone who works at a shop that sells these shoes all day, I was told that this is the way they are going to fit. Long story short - love them and will be ordering another pair in black.

These are so beautiful in their simplicity. I get compliments every time I wear them. They are my second pair of Dansko's and there is not a better shoe for medical staff who need to be on their feet all day. The only problem? I never want to take them off at day's end. This pair fits a little more snugly than my other pair which are the same size. However, I always felt like my ideal size would be somewhere between a 39 and a 40. These fit perfectly in the larger (40) size. So they might run a little smaller than average, but I don't own enough pairs to tell. Still, if you are wondering whether to size up or size down, I would recommend that you size up. Love, love, love these shoes, and love Zappos too! Would never have felt comfortable ordering shoes online, but their return policy is so excellent. Love that the shoes always arrive so quickly too. Thanks Zappos!
