Second pair. First pair lasted 12 years. I use these in surgery. every day. Standing in them all day. Leather toe cap keeps feet clean. Only downside is price . I would also like a model with a little lower sole / heel.

The clogs are a little wide. But, they're a great replacement for the last 5-year old Danskos that died in 2017.

Fit and size where as expected. What was unexpected was the UNBELIEVABLE customer service. There was a manufactured flaw in the product but customer service was Quick to respond and they bent over backwards to assure I was 100% happy. It’s great service that sets them apart from Other retailers. The text chat answered all my questions and helped provide a speedy, timely resolution to my concerns. I understand things happen with mass produced products. Rest assured, if you have an issue with the product, they WILL help resolve it. If all goes well, a company is not tested. If an issue arises, it is then when you see what the company is like. Due to The expert customer service, ease of communication and resolution of issues (not to mention great products at competitive prices) I am happy to have been ZAPPED and I will be a loyal customer. I wear a men's size 11-1/2, wide [Euro size 45]. The '45' was over 1/2" too short (my heal hung out over the back of the foot bed). I re-ordered size '46' and '47'. The '47' was long enough, but too narrow. The '46' was long enough, and wider. These are very comfortable clogs, and they flex a very small amount, which makes walking easier than the old rigid wooden based clogs.

I'm 70 and have been wearing clogs since I was in my 20s; but I haven't had a pair for a number of years. In BOOTS, I generally wear men's size 11.5, wide, so I ordered 11.5-12. Long story short, I ended up having to order Size 46. Oddly, size 47 was not as wide as the 46.

Same fit as my last pair from a decade ago. Still just as good as the original.

I bought these for my husband as in house shoes instead of slippers. He walked hunched over after his knee and hip replacement and complained of pain. What a difference in his gait and no more pain! Thankyou Dansko.

Very stylish and comfortable! The only reason I’m returning them is because they run a bit small. Ordered next available size up. If those fit, they are keepers.

I'm a professional chef and typically wear a 42 in Birkenstocks, but I get these in a 44 and they fit perfect! Dansko clogs can take a few days to break in so if you are working long hours on your feet, you might want to bring a spare pair of shoes to give you feet a rest in the meantime. Otherwise they break in like a baseball glove and will become your feet's best friend.

I love the shoes. They look great and feel fantastic to walk in.

The clogs are very comfortable and give you a great deal of height. I find they look good in a casual setting and I like that they are light even though a big chunky.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. They definitely run small. Had to send the first pair back and exchange for a larger size. Fortunately Zappos makes it very easy and quick to exchange.

My husband has worn this shoe style for years after his podiatrist recommended for arch support. He can wear them without his custom inserts. They hold up well, once they are worn out he uses them for garden shoes.

Eons ago I had a pair of Dutch clogs with wooden bottoms in college and eventually wore them out. Dansko Karl is my first pair of open back clogs since then. I wear a standard size 9, 42, and was worried based on the reviews that it would be too small. The 42 fits perfectly with the back of my heel lining up with the end of the shoe. I suppose the 43 would fit a little big on me. The style looks a bit mother earthy for going out, but the excellent arch support reminds me of what I have been missing all these years. Such a relief when standing!

Extremely comfortable shoe. I couldn't be more satisfied. This is probably the most comfortable shoe that I have ever owned. I just order the same shoe in brown. I suffer from a very painful deformity on my heal so most shoes are painful for me to wear. The Dansko Karl shoe has a completely open back with a raised heel so the pressure is taken off of the heel. The moment I placed this shoe on my foot the pain instantly vanished. As always Zappos customer service and support is always amazing as well.

I had to go a full two sizes up on these, but they are wonderful shoes. And, as always, the customer service provided by Zappos is literally the best. The returning/exchanging process was seamless, and the CS reps were more than helpful. I love, love, love these shoes!

I really like these shoes. A little getting used to and now my go to shoes. Okay, they aren't going to pass the test at work. I'd take too much guff from my coworkers. A man in clogs in a US office, probably okay in 8% of the offices. Love them elsewhere.

Over many years I have been buying these -- and I wear them all the time, both at work and at home. I have a very standard foot size, 10 Medium or 43 is almost always just right for me. In the past six years, the sizing of these shoes has sometimes varied a little, and I have needed in the past to go up or down one size. This pair, this time and last year as well, is a perfect fit at 43. My only complaint is that the heel of the shoe wears down fairly rapidly. So I end up buying a new pair about every 9 months. The rest of the shoe is always still in fine shape.
