I have recently discovered Dansko and I’m in love. I have several pair - bootie and sneaker and now the clog. I purchased from a walking store in the mall but wasn’t happy w color so I bought a pair here to compare, it arrived quickly, but they had an odd paint/polish smell to them when I opened the box and they were so shiny. The leather was much smoother then pair I had which I actually liked, but the smell just made me wonder about them. They also were way too big. I’m always a 39 and the 39 from the mall store fit but these did not. I did the “kick” test as they recommend and the one shoe flew right off my foot. Although I liked the smoother leather I did not like the smell and they were sized weird. I kept the ones from the mall store. Ive bought other dansko from Zappos and have been very happy, maybe this was an anomaly. For the shoe itself, very comfortable. I wear without socks. Zappos return policy is great, order two pair so you can compare sizes since Dansko tends to differ across each one

I ordered the grey tooled clog in wide. When they arrived, I was surprised to discover that they are "tooled" in name only-- They are actually not tooled leather, but patent that has the pattern of a tooled leather imprinted on it.

Sizing just didn't match up. I have several pairs of Pro XP and they are spot on.. left was short both in the size I usually wear 39 and didn't feel any different in a 40. :( I love the XPs and more consistent fit for me.

High arches and plantar fasciitis sufferer - Good shoe. I needed a shoe that would help with my high arches and standing on my feet all day. This year I have suffered from plantar fasciitis on both feet and went through physical therapy. They highly recommended a good arch support shoe, so I checked out Zappos and found the Dansko seemed to be exactly what I needed. It took a little getting used to the first week, but I have noticed the difference, and so far, I haven't had to go back to the physical therapist. They are worth the money if you need to correct a foot problem, and I like that they're also non-slip, which comes in handy for kitchen employees. Also, easy to clean and wipe down.

I wish they fit better - I am new to the health profession. I tried these on at a store and they actually helped my recently banged up knee feel better while walking! I thought I should get them for work. Was thinking about returning them after they felt too small for my feet, but was told they'd stretch by my co-workers. I am thinking of hiring someone else to wear them until they do, because they really hurt my feet. My knees and back love them, but my feet can only tolerate them for short periods of time. A bummer to spend so much and be disappointed :( I usually wear a size 9 and the 40 seems too short for my right foot. 41 was too big. Half sizes would be nice!

Dansko professional - I loved the shoes until I got calluses on the balls of both my feet...very painful. After persevering with the calluses, they eventually disappeared and now these shoes are the most comfortable I ever owned. Go figure!

I love the look of my Danskos and they are so nice and easy to just slip on and run out the door to work. I can stand in them all day and my calves and back don't hurt. They felt a little shorter than expected but not uncomfortable. You have to wear thin socks though.

Dansko - Very comfortable shoe, the stated Euro sizes with equivalent US sizing slightly off.

I have severe bunions. I generally avoid Danskos because they did not come in wide sizes in the past. I recently had Achilles tendon surgery. I was looking for a pair of supportive shoes that had a sole thickness to match the medical boot I am wearing. I wore the Dandso for a week, only to discover the Dansko is not quite wide enough to accommodate my bunion and hammertoes. I have a shoe stretcher in it, hopefully it will improve things. I like Dansko’s arch support.

I have this same shoe, different color from a few years ago. I couldn't wait to get these in a cool color. They are at least 1/4" shorter and way too small.

Ive had a pair of Dansko professionals in patent black for five years and wanted to add brown to my shoe rotation. Even though both pairs are the same size, the newer pair is considerably bigger and wider than my older pair. I thought I just needed to break them in, but unfortunately they are unbearably comfortable. I have lots of hip/knee/foot issues and where my other pair helped with this, my newer pair exacerbates my pain. Such a bummer because I love the style :(

These look great but watch out! The very first time I wore them I turned my ankle and fell. I’ve had Dansko clogs before a long time ago but have mostly worn Sanita clogs over the years and I think they are more stable.

Second order of Dansko from Zappo. Wear 8.5 (US) First pair were perfect. These are too big. I will keep them , however, as I will wear them with heavy socks in winter

This would be my 6th pair of danskos and I just can’t find the right fit! I’ve ordered at least 10 pair of the leopard suede and most of them are smaller and narrower than usual. Two pair have been the right size, but lacked arch support. I’ll keep ordering and returning until I find the right ones— leopard suede is an EXCELLENT pattern.

I really liked these but I couldn’t get used to walking in them. The arch support isn’t quite where I need it to be and the felt kind of clunky on my feet. I may try another style because I think they would be really good on my feet but these just didn’t do it for me. They are cute though!

Had to order a smaller size than normal. Another reviewer the sizes varied greatly, I also found this to be true. the heel slipped way too much for my needs.

I love the look of this honey distressed professional clog by Dansko, but unfortunately it is not offered in a Narrow Width. I don't know if any Danskos are offered in Narrow. I have a perfectly fitting pair of Sanita clogs in 39 Narrow, oiled professional. I wear a 8.5-9 Narrow in most brands. I ordered a 39 Regular in the Dansko and it was huge. It felt both too long and too wide. I might try a 38 Regular just because I love the honey distressed so much, but I am not optimistic that it will fit my narrow feet. In short, if you have narrow feet, stick with Sanita Narrows. They fit really well.

I was hoping these would be very comfortable for cooking and other use around the house. However, when I tried them on, the top of my foot was uncomfortable right away because the top of the clog dug into the top of my foot. I think it would be very uncomfortable to wear them for any length of time. Back to the drawing board...

Not for me. I'm an emergency room nurse and have been working jobs on my feet for 17 years. This was the second time around that I've tried Dankos out but I cannot work more than one twelve hour day in these shoes, at least not without sitting down throughout my shift. However, any given unpredictable day, I could go several hours without sitting down. I really wanted to make these work because I have known several fellow nurses to swear by them. The bottoms of my feet were tender and the bunionettes near my pinky toes were just dying. The material is just too hard to break in. I gave them a week and couldn't anymore. I would have more comfort wearing flip flops at work.

LOVED this pattern, but unfortunately I need a wide and they only make ONE patternin wide. :(

Smaller Than Sized - The shoes I ordered were size 39 (8.5-9), my usual shoe size is 8.5 so I thought they would be perfect, but they were unusually tight...they felt an entire size too small! They still looked great, but did not fit! Zappos is great about the whole process though and I am definitely going to shop again!

KILLER OF A SHOE - Yes, looks great but kill my feet by the end of the day. Go limping out of work after 9 hours on my feet on cement floors. Have been wearing them only 3 weeks and still waiting for them to stretch. Should have bought half size bigger but they look so great on the foot while sitting. Have a torn ligament in left ankle and now don't know what hurts worse, the ankle or the shoes.

Dansko Professional - Several doctors, podiatrists and nurses in the O.R where I work wear these shoes and highly recommended them, so I bought a pair. They have never been very comfortable for me since I started wearing them a year ago. They seemed to fit perfectly during initial wear but stretched out causing my feet to slip forward with my toes constantly hitting the front of the shoe. I am also developing a bunion which I attribute to the aforementioned slippage. (I wear a size 7 1/2 and bought a size 38. A colleague of mine buys a size smaller than recommended for her true size and has no problems.) The shoes are very sturdy however, and provide incredible support and shock absorption. I have also had a significant decrease in back pain while wearing these shoes.
