I love, love, love Dansko's! Having said that, my normal shoe size is 11W. I've always had to order a 43 in Dansko's, and post-bunion surgery, now a 43W. Because the only Dansko's that are available in 43W are plain brown and plain black, I decided to try the Silver Floral Patent in a 43. When I received it, I could not get my foot into the 43, but I was determined! I had it stretched at my local shoe store, and after a wrestling match, got my bad foot in. I can now hobble around in some VERY cute Dansko's, and hope they will stretch out, because I know how comfortable (AND cute) they will be if they do. Please, Please, Please Zappos, share with Dansko's that tall women with big, wide feet still want cute, sassy clogs. More wide widths please!

Okay, so I'm actually really mad. I got the Professional Felt Pro...and they felt larger than the 42 and very roomy. Okay. I just got these, Medallion, the ones I really want and they are 42 and feel a full size smaller and narrower then even a regular! Of course, there's no 43. What is going on with Dansko!? I used to be able to rely on them for sizes that were true, now they're all over the board. I am really annoyed as well because I was going to choose between the felt pro and these...and now they're both going back and I have nothing to show for it except a bad taste in my mouth. Take some advice, order a size up; if you're a 42, don't bother ordering these, you're gonna end up disappointed.

Very hard to put on. The most pain was to the top of my foot and my heel. I've worn Danskos for about 10 years and have never had a problem before.

I wear operating room scrubs all day and I am an old flower child. I ordered the tie-dye version. I absolutely loved them at first site. However, they scuffed the first day to reveal a cardboard-like material under the scuff. What? That is not quality. When I spend this much for a pair of shoes, they should look good for more than one day. I am going back to good old Crocs. They are rubber and they say that they are rubber. They cost much less and are washable to boot.

These are a very hard and tough patent leather...shiny! The leather did not feel like it would stretch and adapt to my high instep. I could barely get them on, though once I did my heel was loose enough. I'm returning them today.

Ouch! They say Dansko's either work for you or they don't...I got 2 pairs that 'work' so I thought I was a Dansko girl -- got these to run around in for the fall...they hurt my high instep and wide foot so bad I couldn't even get out of the house. Still on the search for a running errands shoe that is cute!

I love the look and fit...only problem is they squeak when you walk down the hall. I ordered a 2nd pair and they squeaked too. Sent them both back, going to try a pair of Sanitas because they are made by the original Dansko shoe designers.

Specifically regarding Peacock leather - the size 38 were much too big. Easily exchanged for a 37, and worried that they were too short in the toe. I did keep them, and I love the color. Great with denim, grey, navy, black. But they somehow aren't quite as comfortable as other Dansko clogs and shoes I have.

Didn't fit - This shoe was so tight on my foot. I wear a 7.5, therefore I purchased the 38 (7.5-8). It felt like a size 6.5. I am going to exchange for another type of Dansko. I hope the fit is much better than the Dansko Professional. I will keep you posted.

Tight on top of foot - Along the top of the shoe, the band digs into your foot. I even had them stretched by a shoemaker and it didn't help. It seems to be a problem only with the whites. I have other colors that fit correctly.

Handcrafted = it's a crap shoot - You never know what you're going to get with a Dansko. I own a blueberry pair that I love but wanted a black pair because I am a medical student and need to have some to match several different outfit colors and blue just doesn't cut it with black pants. So I ordered the exact same size and style as I currently own, just in a different color. They come and I can't even jam my right foot into the shoe, it is so small. The top part of my foot won't even fit in it. The left foot is fine, however. It is just so annoying to not be able to order Dankos online because they are made so differently from one shoe to the next. God Bless Zappos for being easy to return to, but if Dansko wants to keep their reputation for making great shoes, they need to start injecting some consistency into their production process. I am very annoyed that I have to return them and go get fitted at a shoe store in person... I really don't have time and I would rather just do all my shoe business with Zappos, but since Dansko is so inconsistent with sizing, I have no other choice. My blueberry pair is pretty comfortable, but I wouldn't call it heaven - my KangaROOs, now, those are heaven.

Too hard! I have flat feet and the very hard arch support in these was too much. The fit was also tight across my wide feet. I tried to stretch them out by wearing heavy socks, but they were just too uncomfortable to wear. Several of my family members love these, but they don't work well for flat feet.

Dansko shoe review - I really like the Dansko brand in general. This particular shoe has not been as comfortable as some of their other styles I have tried. There is a metatarsal lift in the shoe and this is a bit uncomfortable for my left foot. I don't have any problems; however, with the right shoe, so its most like due to my own biomechanics.

Disappointed - I was very excited about this shoe after reading all of the wonderful reviews, but I was sadly disappointed. There was a nice arch in the shoe, but it was rock hard. I thought the shoe would be ok at first, but by the end of the first morning (indoors, of course, just in case), my feet and ankles were killing me. The top portion was also slightly tight, though I'm sure that would stretch over time. So I'm still on the hunt for a supportive shoe for all-day activity on concrete floors...

Not as expected - They are not as comfortable as everyone says they are. I would not be able to be in them for 12hrs which I expected to be. They are either too tight or too big.

Too small! I was so looking forward to getting these shoes... my friends all raved about them so I ordered a pair, along with several other Danskos. None of them fit! I wear a women's size 12 in every other brand - actually some 11's -- but I couldn't even get the Danskos on my foot. Has anyone else had this problem?

NOT ALL THEY ARE CRACKED UP TO BE - Everyone told me to get these for work that they are the best comfort shoe. After having to send back two pairs until I got the size right, (I think I finally got the right size) and having to pay a small fortune they took forever to break in, have had them a year now and still only wear them when I have too. Not my favorites by any means. I am 5'9", they make me even taller, they are very clunky and after a year I think they look worn and I only wear them to work in a salon. Can't understand what all the fuss is over these clogs???

Sadly Disappointed - I have heard tons of women rave about Dansko shoes and how comfortable they are. However, I am sadly disappointed. I find them extremely uncomfortable. They're also difficult to walk in. I find that I twist my ankles frequently. I guess I’m just the exception to the rule with this shoe.

Edges tight - I love Dansko's and have 4 other pairs. I wore these yesterday again and they are still snug around the edges. I noticed a cramped feeling in the toe areas of both shoes. I would have thought this shoe would have a little "give" in it after wearing it many times but it’s still kinda tight. A larger size and my heel would come out when I walk. I love the backless and fabric Dansko's much better.

Dansko Professional Shoes - I wear size 10. Shoe states 43 equivalent to size 12. Still feels tight. Sizing very unpredictable.

Dansko Professional - I have heard fabulous things about this shoe. However, they are not comfortable for me. They are too tight across the top of my foot and make indentations soon after standing for an hour or two. I am hoping they will eventually stretch enough to be comfortable because I paid a lot of money for them and they are really cute. Make my size 11 foot look small!

These shoes came highly recommended by my co-workers but I'm not that happy with them. They are a very hard walk...no cushion at all. I've turned my ankle several times in them and luckily have not broken it yet. Seem to be highly durable but not worth the money in terms of comfort/safety.

"Please take them off!" I was truly bummed to find out that, contrary to what I had read, these do not stretch out very well. I even tried taking them to a store to have them stretched for me. Little improvement. The tops of my feet beg me to remove the shoes after just 2-4 hours, not to mention my toes and sides of my feet. My back and knees feel great while I wear them, but my feet feel like they are going to fall off. I start getting clumsy in them as my feet rebel against having them on. These are way too expensive to take a chance, in my opinion. If you try them on at a store, ask for a brand new pair so you won't be trying on stretched out ones. Also, mine yellowed very quickly. I know not all of them do that, but mine did. Hopefully, I can try to give them to some young college student, willing to wait the months it seems to take to have them fit better.

I ALWAYS wear a size 40 in Dansko and this clog for some reason was humungous, they nearly fit my husband, who wears a size 43. In going to try a size down just because I love the print so much but I’m worried the length will be too short.

The outer layer on these leather clogs is very prone to scratching and scuffing. A brand new pair worn inside for an hour picked up enough scuffing to discolor the toe. Zappos could offer no help with polish or any other remedy. I returned. Also, size seemed snugger than other Dansko shoes.
