The polyurethane outsole, while very comfortable, is not very durable. I owned my pair for less than one month and worn five times and the outsole broke apart on the right shoe. Georgia Boot excellent customer service offered to replace them, however I am not sold on the durability of the outsole until they return to rubber. Five stars is deserved, but ended on three purely because of the foam sole.

I am on my third pair of Romeos. The construction is great, feel is great, but last two pair the soles split. Shoes only last me over a year, and I only wear them for weekend stuff. I have a pair of boots from competitor that I have had for 18 years, and the soles are still keeping me dry. This will be my last pair of Romeos if the soles split again.

My first pair of Romeos had a Vibram sole, still going after 20+ yrs. My next purchase had "Oil Resistant". Bought both Soggy Brown and Black colors and loved them and then the soles started to crack and fall apart and left a mess on the carpet.

They just aren't made with the same quality they used to have. I hate that the glue line between the leather and rubber is so messy and obvious. They look like they were made by a 5 year old

The boot is exteemely well made and the leather is top knotch. The size however is much smaller than stated. I wear a 11 1/2 Wide and ordered a 12 wide to make sure there was plenty m of room but alas it turned out to be seriously too tight and unwearable.

Large lines of glue along top of the rubber guard portion. Insole lining had some sort of glue or adhesive which would stick to socks the first few times I tried to put the shoes on. This is the main issue is how hard they are to put on. A shoe horn was helpful but the top just wants to fold forward. They also feel like they run narrow even in wide width. The arch support is non existant and hinders stability and there is very little cushion when walking (I feel like I'm wearing clogs). They do look nice otherwise and the leather on the upper is nice and soft.

O ordered 12 EE (Wide) and they sent a size 12 M. So that wasn't even close. I wasn't able to even get my foot inside the boot so I am left guessing they run significantly smaller than they should. I checked both the box and the tag inside the boot, 12M

I have owned a pair of these for two weeks or so. I have worn them to work every day for 9 hours or so and a little on the weekends in an attempt to break them in. After two weeks of coming home every day with aching feet, I am giving up on these. I am hoping Georgia will take them off my hands. I really like the look, build quality, and the way they protect my feet (which is why I gave 2 stars) and was really trying to like them. But alas, I must say that these are the most uncomfortable shoe I can remember ever owning.

Great shoe which I wore every day but the sole wore down to a flat surface in less than a year which became a serious hazard when walking on wet surfaces, it was literally like walking on ice (I'm from Minnesota so I know).

Just bought a pair. Ordered them 1/2 size larger than I normally wear, but cannot get my foot in. The opening is way too small and tight.

I could hardly get my foot in the shoe because the hole is so small. When I did get them on they were way to tight.

I bought Romeo's cause my co-workers swear buy them(one has had his for 2+ years). They feel great once they are broken in, but the durability is questionable. My first pair lasted six months before the toe split and the heel broke away from the sole. I had bought at Fred Meyer's and was passed the return date. I decided to purchase a 2nd pair thinking maybe i got a defective pair since my co-workers lasted so long. Same issue as before. Also have another guy who just got new ones and he swears by his 2+ yrs old high top Romeos , but is having the same issue with his new pair, and his toe is starting to crack. Not sure if the manufacturing process has changed, outsourced? I think they are a great boot for a weekend warrior, but not meant to be an everyday construction boot.

I brought the giant rhyme Romeo in a wide width but the opening on the top is so narrow I can probably get my foot in the shoe and after getting in the shoe it squeezed my ankle so bad that I could not keep them on.

When Danner quit making there Romeo show, I had to look elsewhere. I am impressed with the quality of the Georgia Romeo, the rubber around the top of the sole and bottom of the leather is smart move. The leather is thick which takes a little longer to wear in but should last a long time. My last Danner Romeo's were on their fourth sole, so I tend to keep shoes for a while. In quality I would have to say Georgia Boot absolutely CRUSHES Danner for the Romeo style show, and this from a Danner fan boy. My one complaint is the horrible traction. These are supposed to be a work shoe but the traction is so minimal that I would never use it for real construction type work. On snow and ice you had need to have either a good will or good health insurance. If the sole is wet and you step on tile or another hard slick surface maintaining your balance requires you to complete a short program that would gain you a 9.7 from Olympic skating judges. A company makes a really nice product and skimps out on the traction? Doesn't make much sense. Shoes are three weeks old and I am already thinking about having them resoled. If these had traction I would have to say they are the pinnacle of the Romeo design. But what good is a show that is of the highest quality, looks great and fits excellent if you cannot maintain traction? I would have given it five stars with a different sole.

Ordered this boot about a month ago, when it arrived I put both boots on and thought they were comfortable. The right boot seemed to fit different but I didn't think anything of it. I wore them to work for about a week and the we're fine (I walk 10+ miles a day) and then a couple days later the right boot started killing the top of my foot to the point it got bruised. So I set them aside for alittle till my foot got better and tried again. same thing. After doing that several times I gave up and now I'm out $100+ on boots I can't wear. I'm not saying it's a bad product but I think the right boot was defective.

I like GB and have others, but this boot was not built correctly. The heel upper was vertical and that caused the front top edge to be too far back and cut into the ankle.

Well I can't get them on. I don't know how to stretch them. I would love to say I love them but all they do is sit in the box. Big waste of money for my fat feet. S
