This is my 2nd pair of Josef Seibel in this particular style so of course I love them. There's lots of toe room so you can wear thin or thick socks. I wear them year round, even in bitter cold New England weather. The leather stands up nicely in black, but for some reason the brown pair does not stand up as well; the brown tend to scratch easier for some reason.

I knew from the moment I read the other reviews that these were the shoes for me! I work as a wedding videographer and am on my feet for hours, lugging heavy equipment over rough terrain and then indoors in fancy banquet halls. I got them in black as that's our color to blend in with the guests. These work shoes fit perfectly and are comfortable, don't skid, grip uneven natural environment and still look classy! I feel secure and smartly attired the minute I put them on and then I just forget they are there. The best.

These shoes were a replacement of the same, which I had worn for 2 1/2 years. I wore them to work nearly everyday. They are so comfortable! They do take a bit of time to break in, but because they are leather, once they're broken in, you're good to go! Best shoes I've ever owned.

I’ve had a pair of these in brown for several years and I love them. They’re starting to wear out now, and if Zappos had my size in stock, I’d buy a second pair. They’re terrific for walking (I don’t need arch support, so I don’t know how well they’d work if you do need it) - I can comfortably walk in them for miles. Great if you have wide feet.

Josef Seibel shoes do differ in fit; the Tanya's are perfect for me. I liked my brown ones so much I tried to order a pair in black, but Zappos was out of my size. I then found a Canadian shoe site online, and ordered black Tanya's from them. While they looked essentially the same, they felt different, had some different construction details, a different sole, and a different “made in” label. I unfortunately wore them for a while before realizing that they were never going to be as comfortable as my brown Tanya's from Zappos. (They don't seem as well constructed either.) The Canadian shoe site representative said that the Seibel's in Canada come from a different distributor from the ones in the US and may fit differently. I checked Zappos again; they now had the black ones in my size, so I ordered them, and ditched the Canadian ones. An expensive lesson. The Canadian ones may be fine for you, but be sure to check them carefully before wearing them.

I absolutely love these shoes. I have had them for about 4 years now and they are just starting to show some wear. I've worn them to work with black slacks and on weekends with jeans. As comfortable as a sneaker. I think I may get another pair when mine finally bite the dust!
