After reading the previous reviews about the shoes running small, I went to a local retailer to try them on, and I did have to go with a size larger. So please keep this in mind when ordering. I was able to wear these to work, 3 days straight with no pain or discomfort. I am a hairstylist, and usually with new shoes, I have to bring an extra pair with me for about a week while I'm breaking the new pair in. This was not the case with the Dansko's. Very comfortable, good arch support. I will be ordering more pairs!

Great for back and hip pain. Item purchased: Dansko Ingrid Antique Brown/Black Outsole, Size 40 Comfort: I have had severe back and hip pain for several months. It was getting so bad that I couldn't sleep, and I was hobbling every time I stood after sitting for even a few minutes. I have been wearing these shoes all the time since I got them last week. The pain in my back and hips is nearly gone. Break in does take a little while. The first day, I wore them with socks for about 16 hours of standing/fast walking (which we all know is too much time for a new pair of shoes!). The next day, the tops of my feet were sore, as well as the widest parts of my feet at the sides. I wore them to a baseball game the next day, and by the seventh inning stretch, they were completely comfortable. I have been happily wearing them ever since. Fit: I am usually an 8.5 wide. The 40 (marked on the size chart as US 9.5/10) fits perfectly in the Ingrid Antique Brown/Black Outsole. Like other reviewers, I would say that this shoe must run small for Dansko, because I also ordered the Professional Oiled in a 40, but had to return it for a smaller size. Look: I dress very casually, but I do like shoes that add a little bit of height. I look for comfortable shoes which can be dressed up or down. This shoe looks great with jeans, and works well with anything from a T-shirt to a dressy top. The oiled leather is a really nice shade of brown, too. Value: Although this shoe is pricey, it is a lot cheaper than missing time at work due to pain or having surgery. My fiancé and I both work in surgery, and have noticed that many people who come in for knee and hip replacement surgeries have feet that appear to have been damaged over time by improper shoes. That is only an observation, not a statement that good shoes will prevent the need for surgery, but we feel that well-made, well-fitting, supportive shoes are an important part of overall health. I consider these shoes a good investment based on the change in my pain level since ordering. Customer service note about Zappos: Zappos customer service is always excellent. If I found the same shoe for slightly less elsewhere, I would probably still order from Zappos. The customer service is always wonderful, and that level of service is truly hard to find! And they ship so quickly! It's hard to go wrong with Zappos.

The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship - The Ingrid is a do-everything-clog. The straps allow you to walk securely at a brisk pace. For me this shoe needed breaking in, but not much a few days with socks and the shoe forms to the foot. As a true clog it will feel tight at the beginning but after a break-in period this is a comfortable all-day shoe.

Love these clogs! I bought these for work (I work 12-hour shifts in a hospital) and they are just what I needed. Comfortable, great support and nice looking. The only thing I would suggest, as others have, is to order up a size. I wear a 6.5-7 in regular sizes and initially ordered a 37, but returned for a 38, which fit perfectly.

Great shoe and great service - These are simply the best shoes I have ever worked in. they last forever and the support is good up until the end. I have found that tennis shoes do not hold up to the rigors of my job and have to replace too often. I can get at least 2 years of full time work out of these...yeah! Also, thanks again to customer service. They always come through and do the right thing. This keeps me coming back time and time again.

Love them! These are great - comfy! You can walk all over the city in them and the best part about this particular style is that the strap/buckle can go behind the heel for a more secure fit (wore them to a concert and needed to do this). They take a few days to get used to, but I'm very happy with them.

This is my second pr, I LOVE THEM - I love the comfort of this shoe! The arch support is perfect for me, if I wear other clogs without it, I would need my orthotics, not a great look. I have purchased others costing more, these are my favorite. At first, across the top feels a little tight, wear them in graduated lengths of time for a few hours and that area will conform to your foot. Enjoy.

Forget to take them off - I've always loved clogs and have the black Danskos with closed back but to be honest have not worn them a whole lot, they are clunky and my pants leg hangs up on the back. But, these Ingrids are perfect and I want to wear them every day. On the first day or two I felt my bunion rub them a little, and I found that I need thicker socks with them. I wear 8 1/2, and ordered the 8, but it was too small, so had to get the 9. But I love them, and I am a really super picky shoe wearer with my bunion and wide foot issues. I do almost forget to take them off when I get home. I think they are cute with the strap and buckle with my boot cut jeans and pants.

Seeking comfort - Precisely the style, fit, and comfort I've been looking for. It only took one wearing to break this shoe in. I've got my money's worth! I wear a size 7 and these are a 38 and are perfect.

Size up - These shoes are great, really comfortable for every day wear but get one size up from your half size (size 8 and I need to reorder at a EUROPEAN 40 not a 39 as indicated). I have high arches and love these. Enjoy!

Great shoes - These shoes offer excellent support for your feet. It is true that they feel a little stiff across the bridge of your foot at first but you can walk all day in these these shoes and never feel the first bit of pain - definitely worth the price. I ordered these the week before Christmas about 8:45 on Thursday night and they were actually delivered before 6:00 the next day! You do need to order a full size bigger then you normally wear if your foot is wide.

Comfort & support - This shoe is very comfortable & gives great support-even when working on your feet all day.

Great clog! This is a very comfortable clog. Looks nice with straight jeans. I can wear these all day long and they don't bother me at all. I have trouble with some clogs hurting the ball of my heel after long wear, but not these shoes.

Great clog! I ordered several clogs at one time hoping to find one that I really liked and this one was it! Very comfortable! I wear an 8 and ordered the 38 and it is perfect!

Felt 2 sizes smaller - Over all I love this shoe and I plan to order a second pair in a different style. I would recommend ordering 2 sizes larger than normal since there are no half sizes, also, I have normal width usually but my next pair I am considering ordering a wide width--they are fairly rigid in the toe box/ball of the foot and after 10 hr days constantly on my feet and walking, I notice the lateral side of my foot feels as if I'm getting a blister. I would have given it a 5 for comfort if I had known the width was borderline too narrow and I would have ordered a wide width to start with.

The best clogs going for comfort. I absolutely love these clogs. My first pair (these are a replacement - they lasted about 5 years or more) took a little getting used to. They were much more structured than I was used to, but like wearing a good orthodic. I did size up a half size, but you really have to try them to see what is comfortable for you. Worth every penny.

Arch support - These clogs don't only look great they feel great. No break in time needed. I normally need to add arch supports to my shoes but these have a strong high support on their own. My feet don't slide forward or backwards. In general I do recommend these but not for any kind of distance walking because there is not any cushion. They are great for everyday day.

These are comfortable clogs and a little bit more stylish than the professional model (although I love those, too). They're attractive and I expect to get several years of wear from them just as I have with every other Dansko style I have. They are worth the price, for sure. If you like this style, don't wait to buy them because Dansko is not carrying Ingrid in their new collection. Almost bought them last year and the year before and was so happy to find them on Zappos.

Great Shoes! I purchased the Dansko clogs on the recommendation of a friend. I work in television and spend a lot of time standing around on hard sound stages. These shoes are terrifically comfortable, even after standing in them for hours. However, the advice to buy the smaller size was incorrect. I usually wear a size 9 in shoes, but the 8.5-9's were too short. Buy the next size up.

Fabulous shoe! These shoes are great, I love the versatility of the slingback. I work retail and wear these all day and then change my top, fix my make-up, and go dancing in them as well. I had my first pair for seven years, wearing them most everyday. My full back pair I still own after 15 years (I like the slings better). I also own two pairs or sandals and the boots as well. Definitely buy a size larger.

Comfortable shoes with great support - Where these shoes lack in fashion, they make up for in comfort. I am on my feet most of the day in a doctor's office; these shoes prevent my feet from aching at the end of the day. They have great support and feel better every time I wear them.

Great work shoes - I had a pair of professional Dansko's that lasted me for over three years (and I wore them daily working and riding at an equestrian stable). Now being in restaurant management, I needed a shoe that was both very comfortable, for standing such long hours on hard floors, and slip resistant. These shoes are wonderful!!! My feet don't hurt at all, even after standing for 12-14 hours straight. They are very slip resistant - better than my old shoes, which were designed especially for food service workers. They do run a little small - I wear an 8.5 and ordered a 39, but they were too small. Zappos sent me another pair within 24 hours with free shipping before I had even returned the other pair which was great because I needed to wear them to work. Talk about great customer service!!! And, they look great to wear out casually as well!!
