I usually wear a size 8 but I ordered the size 38 and they were too small. I ordered size 39 and they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable shoes! I just love them and I wear them everyday. My feet get sore easily and I have not had any soreness when wearing these shoes. They have excellent support!

I'm usually a size 8 in shoes and ordered the 38 in this style and they were too small (my heel went over the back without the strap in place). I sent back the 38's and ordered another pair sized 39 and these fit perfectly.

Item info says to consider sizing downward for open backed models. I wear a size 8 and ordered the 38 (7.5-8) and they are too small. Without the strap on the back the edge of my heel hangs off the back and it feels like my foot is going to come out of them. So, I'm exchanging for size 39 (8.5-9) a half size upward! I really like the option of wearing these with the strap or open back for a more feminine look. I'm looking forward to trying on the next pair and hope they work. I should have read the other reviews...many of them mention that these run small.

I worried that I wouldn't like the Dansko clog as well as the Sanita clogs I usually buy, but these have been fine. I love the dull waxed finish.

Love these shoes! They were stiff at first. Had to wear a few times for short periods of time to break in but now they fit great! I plan to get another pair in black!

I purchased this shoe to replace the identical shoe in same size. Oddly, these shoes were too small. No worries, exchanging for a size larger - maybe sizing changed. That is what I love about Zappos - easy exchange and quick delivery!

After so many years of teaching Dansko is about the only shoe I wear. I had a pair of red Ingrids and love them so much I bought this pair of brown ones this year and they are beautiful and very comfortable.

Bought these to replace same style from about 10 or more years ago when soles finally wore out. These are good looking and comfortable. My old ones had a blonder sole with brown uppers instead of black soled like these but they are still cute. I am on my feet all day at my job and they are worth the money- no breaking in period.

I have narrow feet and can sometimes get by with a B width. I had to send these back because my feet flopped all around. I would have kept them if they were narrower. They are very cute but not recommended for narrow feet!

I absolutely love these clogs! I ordered a 7.5-8 and they were too small that is my normal size. I then returned and ordered the 8.5-9 and they fit perfect! So comfortable! Great quality! Had a pair 8 years but they were getting beat!

My main requirement is toe box room and Ingrid has it. Very comfortable right out of the box; have not worn extended period of time yet. Comfort highly recommended by my daughter who has worn this shoe for years in the medical profession. Size chart accurate, strap versatility a plus and pleased with my choice of oiled leather. Zappos service excellent, as always!.

I love my new shoes. Only one problem, slippy inside of shoe when I wear socks, take socks off no problem.

Fit is snug and so, so comfortable! I wear them every chance I can get and can't wait to get more Dansko shoes!

I love my Danskos! I bought a pair about 10 years ago & used them for waitressing. They lasted forever & were always really comfortable - I had a job after that in sales where I would stand for hours and these were the only shoes that didn't leave my back & feet really sore after a long day. These are the exact same style I had before and I would recommend them to anyone!

As usual a fantastic customer service experience from zappos.com. They were out of my size in every Dankso style that I liked, but after requesting to be notified I got an email within three days saying they'd gotten more back in stock. So I ordered the Ingrid in the black oiled color. I have problem feet: fallen arches and my foot is wide at the top with a narrow heel so it's impossible to find shoes that don't give me horrible blisters or rub the skin on my heels totally raw. I was so fed up that I thought I'd try clogs. I wear an 8.5 and the 39 is perfect for me; roomy enough for some thick socks which I can see wanting in a few months' time, but my foot isn't slipping everywhere without socks either. That strap that can be pulled behind your heel is also great. It doesn't irritate my heel at all which is basically unheard of for me with shoes. And of course I don't have to say how comfortable Dankso shoes are. I live in NYC so I walk everywhere and with these clogs I don't get the lower back pain that is often the result of having totally flat feet. The customer service hits just kept on coming when after I ordered these, I got an email from Zappos saying they had upgraded me to 2 day shipping absolutely free. Ordered these Monday, got them Wednesday, wore them to work on Thursday and haven't taken them off since.

After reading the previous reviews about the shoes running small, I went to a local retailer to try them on, and I did have to go with a size larger. So please keep this in mind when ordering. I was able to wear these to work, 3 days straight with no pain or discomfort. I am a hairstylist, and usually with new shoes, I have to bring an extra pair with me for about a week while I'm breaking the new pair in. This was not the case with the Dansko's. Very comfortable, good arch support. I will be ordering more pairs!

Great for back and hip pain. Item purchased: Dansko Ingrid Antique Brown/Black Outsole, Size 40 Comfort: I have had severe back and hip pain for several months. It was getting so bad that I couldn't sleep, and I was hobbling every time I stood after sitting for even a few minutes. I have been wearing these shoes all the time since I got them last week. The pain in my back and hips is nearly gone. Break in does take a little while. The first day, I wore them with socks for about 16 hours of standing/fast walking (which we all know is too much time for a new pair of shoes!). The next day, the tops of my feet were sore, as well as the widest parts of my feet at the sides. I wore them to a baseball game the next day, and by the seventh inning stretch, they were completely comfortable. I have been happily wearing them ever since. Fit: I am usually an 8.5 wide. The 40 (marked on the size chart as US 9.5/10) fits perfectly in the Ingrid Antique Brown/Black Outsole. Like other reviewers, I would say that this shoe must run small for Dansko, because I also ordered the Professional Oiled in a 40, but had to return it for a smaller size. Look: I dress very casually, but I do like shoes that add a little bit of height. I look for comfortable shoes which can be dressed up or down. This shoe looks great with jeans, and works well with anything from a T-shirt to a dressy top. The oiled leather is a really nice shade of brown, too. Value: Although this shoe is pricey, it is a lot cheaper than missing time at work due to pain or having surgery. My fiancé and I both work in surgery, and have noticed that many people who come in for knee and hip replacement surgeries have feet that appear to have been damaged over time by improper shoes. That is only an observation, not a statement that good shoes will prevent the need for surgery, but we feel that well-made, well-fitting, supportive shoes are an important part of overall health. I consider these shoes a good investment based on the change in my pain level since ordering. Customer service note about Zappos: Zappos customer service is always excellent. If I found the same shoe for slightly less elsewhere, I would probably still order from Zappos. The customer service is always wonderful, and that level of service is truly hard to find! And they ship so quickly! It's hard to go wrong with Zappos.
