Great Shoe For Women with size 12 or better feet... I fell in love with this shoe in the womens' version;however, I have a true size 12 foot and the womens' version was approx 1/2 size to small. I loved the look of the shoe so much, I decided to try the Medina in a size 43 narrow. I am so glad I did. This shoe looks great on my foot. I would advise one to take time and break the shoe in. I wore mine to New York without breaking them in first, and I ended up with sore toes. I wear them all the time now and have had several compliments. By the way, I noticed Julia Roberts wearing this shoe in a magazine recently. It is very stylish...

These shoes are super comfortable! Once I broke them in for a couple of days they felt like I had had them for 30 years. They compliment my sun dresses, as well as my linen pants! I am going to buy the other color!

These shoes fit great! I loved the color. The thing that bothered the heck out of me was that the toe piece is off center. It makes the shoes look silly - super silly. I couldn't keep them.

If you are looking for D, or E width or wider these are not going to work for you. Otherwise these are very nice. I wish that they would fit. I tried size 43 and 44. Just not wide enough.

Break them in... These sandals are very good as one would expect from Birkenstock. Take the time to break them in, before any long walks on the beach.

These shoes hurt after wearing them the first time. The shoe's arch apparently is higher than the arch on my foot and my feet felt like they were on fire. However, I hung in there, bringing along a second pair of shoes to change into when my feet began to hurt. Day after day I was able to keep them on for a longer period of time. After a couple of weeks they are now the most comfortable shoes I own and I wear them all the time and love them. They really adjust to the shape of your feet!

Awesome sandals - These have to be the best birks I have worn. They stay on due to the way the straps lay, no flopping around like other flip flops. Once broken in you will not want to wear any other shoes. I have even gotten compliments from women on these, completely unexpectedly. Don't hesitate on these.

Just the fundamentals - Very simple but effective. A well designed sandal, of course Birkenstock quality--you'll know what your'e getting (a product based on natural material)--German's know how to design stuff and your entire leg and state of mind will appreciate the assiduity of the effort. If you're looking for a basic, well crafted, sandle without alot of synthetic material, look no further.

Birkenstock Medina - I am very pleased with my Medina sandals. The quality and perfomance are as I expected from Birkenstock. Zappos delivered as they said they would,

If you like cool sandals and enjoy wearing Birks... Great sandal, beautiful, comfortable and well-priced. The sandals are very comfortable to wear, but they did require an initial breaking in period during which I experienced a small sore area on my second toe from the leather strap. Now, however, they feel light, cool and easy on the foot. I wear them all the time and everywhere.

Best sandal I've ever had - When I got these (in record time from Zappos), I tried them on & decided that the toe post was too short for my tall foot. Then I decided they looked so good that I had to try again. After just a few minutes of standing in them, the cork had compressed just enough, and the leather stretched just enough to make me change my mind. I kept them and now I wear them almost daily. I wear them with shorts, or jeans, or with a kilt--I even wear them to church with dress slacks and a tie. Great shoes!

Birkenstock Medina - comfort - I buy birkenstock mainly for the comfort. I am prone for plantar fascitis and need the high arch support.

Birkenstock Medina Sandal is great - I just received my sandals by Fed Ex. I ordered them Sunday morning and clicked 2 day delivery. Zappos was kind enough to send them overnight on the first business day which was Monday. I'm wearing them now and love them. I got the glossy black and I don't think they look feminine at all. Though the dark brown seems to be the popular color because they are sold out on here. But the glossy black really stands out and they have a great look to them. Thanks, Zappos, for carrying a great selection of shoes and for the prompt shipping.

There is no other comfortable, better-looking, or even more versatile casual shoe to be found anywhere. I've had women stop me on the street to tell me how wonderful they look and how they wish they could coax their boyfrends or husbands into wearing something so avant-garde--even sexy. The leather is deliciously soft and cool to the touch on a hot day, and the vertical post that fits between your toes is so thin that you can't even feel it. The broad "tongue" exerts the most subtle pressure on your toes, enough to keep the shoe from falling off if you flex your knee, but scarcely enough to actually be sensed. I'd avoid the patent leather, guys--as it has a markedly feminine look. Stick to the basic black and look like an ancient Egyptian pharaoh.

Great sandal - Very comfortable, its the most comfortable thong I've worn. I also think its the best-looking sandal I've owned. I do agree with earlier comments that 1/2 size smaller gives the best fit.

Great looking sandal. Feels great from the start. Probably could go 1/2 size smaller.

Awesome sandal - This sandal is phenomenally comfortable. It is the 14th or 15th pair of Birkenstock sandals that I've purchased and my only regret is that this sandal doesn't come in a wider variety of colors/materials, for example Natural Oiled Leather.

Around the House - I find these shoes fine for wear around the house, which is what I wanted them for...

Solid - I love 'em. They are little Roman Galdiator 'esque. Other than that, they are amazing.

I didn't keep these because they felt really big/clunky and the toe divider is hard plastic, very uncomfortable.
