These boots are wonderful! They keep my feet so warm all day and they are also comfortable. They are "big" boots so if you are going for a more girly look, I would go with a different boot. In my opinion these are smart boots for the winter!

Love these classic winter boots! Comfy, warm, waterproof, good tread and a nice shaft height for trekking around in the snow. The only down side is that they're fairly heavy. Overall, these are great boots that will last for years.

I bought these for my daughter at her behest. College girl in Maine. She loves them. Appreciates the boot liner. Says she doesn't have to wear bulky-knit socks anymore. I can relate to liking that notion.

These boots are a do not miss! So very warm, and super comfy. Sledding with the kids, not a drop of snow got in them. Stomping through slush,stayed dry. Almost as comfy as my UGG shoes. They are very roomy. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and have a very narrow foot. I ordered the 8 and they are just right, with a thicker sock.

These boots are great. I was looking for a waterproof boot that was warm and these are perfect!

These boots worked great during an NYC blizzard. Usually have cold feet during the winter, but not his time.Wore without socks and my feet were the warmest part of my body. A little stiff when first put on but after fits like a glove.

The Caribou run big! I bought a pair in my normal size 6 and there was so much room in the boot that ended up giving them to a friend who wears a 7. Because I really like the rugged feel of this boot, I bought another pair of Caribou, but sized down to size 5 and although still roomy in width, I'm not having the problems walking that I had in the 6. These boots are great!

zomg love - i LOVE these boots, i feel like an awesome viking tromping around the wilderness...of Washington, D.C.:) They're heavier than similar looking boots but SO much better. They are waterproof and warm, so my urban lifestyle is comfortable, yet they're still feminine and stylish. I wear a 6.5 to a 7, and got the seven. I suppose if I were to wear them barefoot they'd be a bit loose, but they fit nicely with standard athletic socks.

Fantastic boot for the cold weather - I was hesitant to keep this boot - I was searching for the perfect outdoor-tough/city-cute combo, and did like the Sorel Kaya a lot. However, when it came down the functionality, this boot won by a large margin. I ended up getting the green color which adds some spunk. I have not regretted this purchase at all, as a matter of fact, I just convinced my husband to get a pair.

I was a little dubious about the size of these when I placed my order. Normally I wear an 8.5 and planned on buying a size 9. The 9 was sold out by the time I ordered them, so I took a chance and ordered an 8 fully expecting them to be too snug. They fit beautifully and I even have a little extra toe room--with thick winter socks. I would definitley suggest sizing down if you wear a half size.

Cozy boots - While these may not be the most fashionable of routes for snow boots they are definitely the more practical route. These boots keep my feet totally warm, have good traction and the fun green color spunks them up a bit. I feel like I've bought the snow boots I'll have for the rest of my life!

Sorel Caribou boots - These were the biggest and ugliest boots of the three pairs that I ordered, and I have to say that they look like boats on my feet, but they are comfortable and warm and during the recent blizzard in NYC this past weekend, they were the perfect boots to have to plow through the drifts. I'm thinking of ordering them in another color as well. In terms of the ease of ordering, the speed of the shipment, and the ease of returns (including printing out UPS labels), you can't beat Zappos!

Very comfortable and kept my feet completely dry for New York's first snowstorm of 2005.

great - I decided not to buy these online because nothing beats actually going to a store and trying on a boot. They are really warm and soft inside. And they're not heavy at all. I thought they might be too short but when you put them on they are great. I don't want to take them off and can't wait until it snows or rains really hard.

Amazing! All I can say is, good job Zappos! Wonderful customer service, quick shipments, and great selections! These boots fit real comfortable on my foot. I'm normally a 7/1/2 or I can sometimes pass for a 7, so I decided to go up a size and the boots fit perfect. The boot leaves room for thick socks for the winter months. The boots are really warm and waterproof so you don't have to worry about the snow. To be honest, I'm an enormous girly-girl, but when it comes to the winter, I'd rather be warm and have my feet protected then worry about what the fashionistas wearing their $150 Uggs have to say when they see these boots. I highly recommend them for anybody who wants a real winter boot.

The ultimate snow boot - Very comfortable boot. Stylish too, in it's own way. Definitely feels at least one-half size larger than marked. I can occassionally wear a size 9, and the 8 fit me perfectly. As always, Zappos' service is superb.

Sorel Caribou Review - I was completely satisfied when I received my boots. They fit extremely well and were as comfortable as they look. I would recommend this boot to anyone that gets cold feet very easily and has to walk through the snow.

These boots fit smaller than they look. They look huge on my feet and they are clunky, but they feel snug to the point where I won't be wearing really thick socks with them. In my opinion, they are not cute or stylish. These boots are about function, so I hope they perform well when the time comes. For reference, I purchased the 8.5, which is my normal size.

I love the classic look of the caribou. It’s lighter weight than the Joan of Arctic pair I had for ten years. Much more comfortable and warm as well. I wear a 9 and 9 fits perfectly. I do agree with the reviewer who found it slippery. I almost fell in a school yesterday as it was wet outside. Boots seem to be fine outside in the snow and on the drier ice, but yes, on slippery floors and surfaces they don’t grip. Once they dry they do, but be careful coming in from the wet outdoors.

I’ve now had these boots for 9 years and they’re still in great condition. They’re sturdy and very warm. Great for snow and rain. They did take some time to loosen up (though still quite stiff, currently not as painful around the ankles) and my heels slip. But if you wear thick wool socks, this helps a lot.

These are very warm and comfortable. They are heavy, but I walked all over Sundance Film Festival in them with no issues. They were actually a little too warm when I was inside lol. I like that they are a little less overwhelming that the Joan of Arctic. They are a little less fussy. Not the I don’t still love Joan. They both have their place. Overall, I would recommend these if you need a nice warm boot. They are super waterproof. I splashed right in a deep puddle I didn’t see that came up to my ankle, and my feet were completely dry.

Nice boots but stiff and heavy. I went with reviewer suggestions and ordered 1/2 size down. I’m usually a 9 1/2, but ordered a 9. The 9 fits fine. They are very heavy and stiff around the ankles and lower legs. It’s hard to drive in them because the boot is so stiff I had a hard time bending my ankle to accelerate the gas pedal. I am keeping them because they are comfortable and warm. Just won’t drive in them.

Very warm but boot feels pretty "sloppy" when walking around. Great grip on snow but I did slip easily on ice. I usually wear a 10.5 and sized down to a 10. I think I could easily have worn a 9 or 9.5 with my thin ski socks.
