With it being late in the winter season, I could not find stock anywhere locally so I had to order these boots. Being skeptical of ordering footwear online, I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was just fine. I have always had great luck with the Sorel brand and see no reason while that will not continue with this pair of boots.

My very old (non-Sorel) boots literally fell apart, so it was time to invest in something quality. I normally wear a size 9.5 in sneakers, 9 in all other shoes. Since the 9.5 was not available, I ordered the women's 10, figuring it would probably fit with thick socks. The inner boot actually fits just right with regular socks, but since I'm not normally a size 10 in any shoes, I'm rating it slightly small -- if I had bought the 9.5, I'm sure it would have been too small. The boot itself is very heavy, and actually kind of huge. It has a big 8 printed on the inside, like it's a men's size 8 with a women's insert, rather than a true women's 10, and it's extremely roomy and wide around the toes (wider than my husband's big Timberland boots). Even though I paid for overnight shipping, I didn't get them for a week, which was extremely frustrating with the whole polar vortex thing upon us. But the boots themselves are great, so I'm still rating them a 5.

I never thought I would need boots this heavy-duty, but after moving to Chicagoland, and dealing with the slushy sidewalks and cold snaps, I realized just how perfect they are. They are as warm as they claim to be, and comfortable all around. The soles have great traction, too, so there are no worries about slipping, sliding, or busting myself up in a fall. My only warning is for ladies with wider calves like me: while they will fit, they may be a little snug. Nowhere near uncomfortable, just snug.

These are beautifully made, expensive looking boots. They are VERY warm and meant for serious winter days. From a fashion perspective, they are trendy and cute with pants tucked in or with pants over boot. I love wearing them! They are TRUE TO SIZE if you want to wear a sock and/ or possibly an orthotic which I wear sometimes. I bought a size 9 and wear an 8.5 shoe and am happy with the size. The ONLY negative is the weight of each boot. They are heavy, serious boots. These are NOT UGGS! They are stylish REAL winter boots. They are NOT for bopping around the city as a fashion statement due to their weight. I wear my high leather boots for fashion around the city and these SORELS when I want to be warm and cozy AND look good! Good luck!:)

This is my second pair. I "outgrew" my first pair after 15 years. They were not even close to being worn out! A great feel and reliable boot. I tie them loose enough to slip on and off when I need them. Lifelong fan!

The lining of the boot is cut small and it separates from the boot when you try to take the boot off.

I got these boots, tried them on and absolutely loved them. These are replacement boots I needed for snowmobiling. I can't wait to try them in the cold snowy weather however I've already verified they're good for shoveling : )

This purchase was to replace a 20 year old pair of lighter weight Sorel Caribou boots that finally wore out. That older pair were rated for about 20 F. If this newer pair preform similarly or better, I won't need another pair for as long as I live. I'm 61 now!. I used them for the first time last week and was very pleased with them. I found that very heavy wool socks are not necessarily needed. Lighter weight wool socks are a good companion.

I needed a good pair of boots for working outside in Wisconsin winters. These are just what I needed! My shoe size is 7.5 or 8 depending on the manufacturer and style, and I ordered size 8 boots. I've been wearing them with sock liners plus relatively thin wool socks. My thickest socks make the boots too tight, but I haven't needed thick socks to stay warm. These boots are heavy and sturdy, so don't expect flexibility. I am very happy with these boots.

This was a great boot. I ordered a half size up and had plenty of room and the boot wasn't tight which is the fit that I was hoping for. It's suppose to snow tomorrow. Can't wait to try them out. Highly recommend.

These boots are excellent. I first tried on the right boot and it fit perfectly so I thought that there wasn't a need to try on the left boot. A few days later, I tried the left boot and had difficulty getting my foot all the way to the bottom. However, a 2nd attempt worked just fine as I found that the felt insert wasn't completely down when I first tried them. I love the features, appearance, color choices and quality of these boots. They are well worth the price.

The boots fit slightly larger than other Sorel boots that are more street/fashion in style, but are still very comfortable and warm.

Well as luck would have it as soon as my boots arrived, the weather broke and it warmed up however there were a few days where the temps dipped and I've never so warm and comfortable in a pair of boots. They also look great. I've already recommended them to friends and family.

I asked for boots which I could wear ice fishing and stay warm in. I have not done that yet but have worn them outdoors when the "polar vortex" has made the weather here in Pittsburgh bitterly cold. I have stayed warm and find the boots very comfortable to walk in. As to the size, I am normally an 11 with wide feet and I have found the 11!/2, which I had to order online to be a good fit. I have gone to stores and tried on the 11 (too tight) and the 12 (too loose). I am hopeful that the boots will be as durable as they are comfortable.

I use these all the time. I built a racecourse at Beaver Creek this season and these are the only thing I wear outside of work. I've tried lots of boots from sorel and these ones are a no brainer. I use much heavier boots for work but these guys are warm and comfy when the day is done.

This is my first Chicago winter and these boots are the best decision I have made. My feet can range from an 8-9; I went for the 8 boot and they are perfect. A little heavy when walking, but most boots are anyway. They keep my feet pretty warm and very dry.

my new sorels are built extremely well, look like they'll last forever, are tremendously warm (i haven't tried them at 40 below yet, as it's only been 20 above recently), work well in both city and in field, and look incredibly cool. they felt right the very first moment that i put them on, but actually walking in them takes a bit of getting used to (on my first day i walked 4 miles though, and had no problem whatsoever). they're even good on ice, which is the main reason that i bought them. i'm extremely happy with my purchase of this trusted brand of boots.

My 20 year old Sorel Caribou's are my 'go to' boot in winter. I wear them snowshoeing, winter camping and hiking in winter, grocery shopping in challenging weather. Easy to slip into, wear wonderful wool socks with them - my orthotics work as well. Walking the dog boots! I have used the Yak-Tracks with them during icy situations as well. Please keep them coming and please don't cheapen them like so typically happens with excellent products. They are the best! Can't believe it I paid less than half for them originally.

I have had the opportunity to use these boots in -20 temps and -40 below with windchill and my feet have been warm and dry. I would recommend these to a friend! Plus, I know Sorel's last a long time in these conditions. I have no doubt I will be ordering more styles to get through these MN winters :)

So excited to receive these today! I was a little nervous on the sizing due to various reviews about the fit. I have read reviews that said to go a full size down, and others that somehow said they needed to go a full size up, so I was very confused as to what to do. I wear an 8.5 shoe and I ordered an 8 and they fit very well! I actually expected them to fit a bit more awkward based on the mixed reviews but they are so comfy and warm. I will mention that it does in fact seem like these boots run big and I definitely recommend ordering a half size down from your normal size. I still have some room in these (maybe due to my very narrow feet) but they aren't too big to where they are uncomfortable. It gives you the welcome option to layer up some socks on super cold days. I don't wanna jinx it...but now I'm ready for another Michigan snowstorm.

I love these Sorel boots! They are more stylish in black and white than they used to be. The tread on the bottom is very good in the snow and ice. They are warm and comfortable to boot! I highly recommend them.

The Sorel's are beyond the expectations of keeping the feet dry, warm and comfortable and are everything advertised to be. It is important to purchase the true size required for the comfort of walking and stability in weather conditions.
