I'll start with FIT. I'm a 10 in most shoes, 10.5 in some shoes, and went with a 9.5 cuz most people said they run very large. DON'T listen to these people. The 9.5 was too snug, I sent back for a 10 and that fits perfect. This is a huge boot on the outside, but not so much on the inside. Remember there's a liner boot inside the outside boot plus most people will have a heavy sock on. How some people say 1-2 sizes smaller fits is beyond me. They must have their regular size wrong and are wearing a larger size shoe than they should. Unless you plan on wearing this boot without the liner or without socks I STRONGLY recommend you order your true size. But you could go a half size up or down (max) depending on your foot and how you'd like it to fit. For some reason the 9.5 slipped on and off easier than the larger 10, but the 10 still goes on easy and comes off okay. They are a big heavy boot, so if you want a boot to work in all day everyday or for extra long hikes I'd recommend one of Sorels lighter and smaller models. They're very comfortable and warm. Quality looks great (but like most things they don't make em like they used to) I can't comment on durability as I've only had them a month. Overall a very comfortable, warm, stylish boot and I'd recommend.

I oscillate between wearing a 7.5 and an 8, depending on the type of shoe, heel height, width, etc. I purchased an 8 so that thick wool socks could be accommodated on the super cold days. They fit sliiightly big, but it's totally fine. These boots are a really superior product. The footbed is sturdy, clearly well sealed, warm, and comfy. The traction is incredible and they're really only for those hardcore winter days. I wouldn't commute to work in these unless there was a lot of snow. The waterproof upper boot is stunning and super high quality too. I'm in love with these boots!

I walk my dog every morning and evening and in OKC we have all four seasons. November through March, it gets rainy, snowy and freezing temperatures. Since I purchased my Caribou Sorel Boots, the weather does not bother me. The boots keep my feet dry and warm. I'm so happy that I purchased these boots! and so is my Lab, Sampson

These boots are high quality and very warm! They run a little big, so I ordered a 1/2 size smaller, which I would recommend. The Caribou boots keep your feet dry and warm, plus they are cute, unlike other pack boots I was looking at. They are a little heavy, but I was expecting that since they are made for snow and extreme weather. I highly recommend the Sorel Caribou boots!

These are the most comfortable, well-made, winter boots that I've owned. They have a good grip and kept me warm and dry. Doesn't hurt that they look good, too!

I was looking for new boots to get through Boston's winter which is -10 one day and 50 degrees of melting snow the next. I read the reviews and was having difficulty picking a size. I wound up with the Caribou Slim. It fits true to size and is less bulky and heavy but the exact same boot. It has a smaller sole, but is exactly the same, warm, comfortable boot. If you're having difficulty with sizing and need something easier to walk in then I recommend getting the Slim. It's perfect

Love these boots! Super comfortable and very warm. Can't comment on durability yet as I haven't owned them very long. I originally ordered a size 10 to match my shoe size and they were way too big. I exchanged them for a size 9 and they fit perfectly with enough room for thick winter socks. Definitely size down one size.

I live in Buffalo and need a good waterproof warm boot and this one is perfect. We've had several feet of snow, temps in the negative digits, and windchills about 35 below and my feet were nice and warm and dry. These boots are a little heavier than I am used to, but after a few days of wearing, they were broken in and nice and comfortable. They do run a little big. I usually wear size 9 and after reading other reviews I decided to order an 8 1/2 and they fit perfect. I would definitely recommend these boots if you live in a place where you have cold snowy winters.

I love these Carribou boots. The grey is beautiful and a nice change, also matched my parka nicely. These boots are super warm and very comfortable! I bought them for our winter vacation to Iceland. Although they are a little bulky I used them everyday and found them comfy and warm! Definitely not a slim boot but still cute. I usually buy a 7.5 and occasionally an 8, the 7.5 was good esp with thick socks but maybe could have even done a 7. They run a little bigger.

A serious cold weather boot. True to size, but go up a half size if you plan on wearing a heavy sock.

I bought these boots for a trip to Colorado and general commuting in snowy weather. They are perfect for both! They are so comfortable to walk in and I have not slipped on ice at all in them. Definitely great boots for rough weather. And better yet, they look amazing!

Sizing can be tricky, but definitely worth taking the time to figure it out. I'm super grateful for Zappos and their awesome exchange policy!! I typically wear a size 8 in running shoes (Asics, Brooks). After trying 7-8, I ended up with a 7.5 in these and am happy! The 7 actually seemed to fit in the length, but the toe box felt very snug (too snug). They are big boots (as many reviews state), and they are a bit heavy - but there was no break-in time and I find them very comfortable to wear. My feet are warm, even with thin socks. They have better tread that the Joan of Arctic (which I was debating between), and aren't as stiff. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

These boots are great for cold weather and trekking through the snow. I would recommend sizing down. I am a standard 7 in almost all other shoes but I ordered this in a 6.5 per other reviewer suggestions. I still have some wiggle room but the boots are especially big if they are worn without thick socks.

I purchased these because I live in Minnesota and my kids are both Nordic skiers. The meets get cold, especially when you are standing as a spectator. These boots are very warm! Two weeks ago the meet had air temps of 1 degree F, with wind chills below zero. My feet were toasty warm the whole time. A lot of the reviews say the boots run large, but for me that was not true. I originally ordered a size 10 (as I typically wear a size 10), but my toes were to the end of the boot with no room. I sadly had to return them, and I ordered an 11. They are the perfect size for me. One other thing I read online was that there is some rubbing on the backs of the heels. This was true the first time I wore them, but after that it was fine. I think picking better socks helped so they didn't shift around as much. Go with taller Smart Wool and the heels should be fine. Overall, love these boots and so glad I can stand out in the snow watching the skiers and not have have my feet freeze.
