My last pair of Sorel Caribou boots where purchased in the early 1990's. I am confident my new pair are to last as long or longer. I can't say enough about the quality and durability. BTW, I am keeping my old boots and plan to fix them up enough to wear again next winter. 2 thumbs up!!!!!

Very solid construction for trudging through the snow. Wanted something warmer and sturdier than my Joan of Arcs which I've had for years. They definitely feel more like a tough winter boot with better support through the ankle and more substantial tread. Hope they fit the bill for warmth but haven't tried them outdoors in cold temps (below 0 - 20 degrees) yet.

I had these great boots only in smaller size 50 years ago! I wore them in Wisconsin and then here in Washington when we got snow in the Seattle area and to the mountains to play in the snow. I bought new liners, but they were too small, and the tread was wearing down. I was happy to get my new boots this December! They fit perfectly and are so warm! They will last for me as long as I shall live!

The fit was perfect BUT i didn’t realize it was a tall style, and not the shorter one. It’s pretty heavy and obviously great if you are looking for the heavier duty, taller version!

Just bought this boot and am so happy I made the splurge to finally get a pair of Sorel boots. They are warm and roomy and comfortable! I agree they are a bit large/clunky, but you have to remember this is a SNOW boot. My mother has Sorels from the 70's that she still wears and swears by. I needed a boot that is durable and reliable for Midwest winters and this is exactly what I got. The caribou boot is a classic.

Great fit and so warm. I took them to play in deep, fresh powder the day I got them and my feet weren’t cold once. Perfect snow boots for the winter

I bought these 3 yes ago & I love them. I won't buy any other brand than Sorel. I bought my first pair in 1970. I wore them until 2005. Someone else wore them & they were stained with some black stuff & the bottom tread was very smooth making them slippery for walking in snow. They were tall & white. Kind of a nylon/canvas type material. I even remember where I bought them. My feet were always warm even without socks on. I walked 15 miles in -54 windchill & my feet were toasty warm.

My first pair of caribou's I bought in Alaska lasted me over 34 years, even though I've tried to destroy them on occasion. They took a direct hit from an axe that bounced off a frozen log I was chopping for the fire. Cut through the rubber bottom at the toes, but the liner stopped the axe, good thing for me as I was on a remote island in Prince William Sound, with transport off for a week. I've gone through so many liners that at last I could not get Sorel liners anymore in Alaska, so the boot became part time where and I switched to my Sorel Glacier's. But this last spring as I was driving through Canada, I stopped at a well know retailer and low and behold I found my new "bou's"! Hopefully they will last as long as my first pair!

I love SOREL Caribou boots. Plural because three pairs of boots have taken me through three decades. I've replaced multiple boot inserts with the furry tops that slip into the main leather boot, but the boots carry on. My first pair kept my feet toasty through a Colorado high country winter near Vail. My brother told me I needed SOREL boots because they would keep my feet warm and dry. And because that's what the locals wore in that mountain town in below-zero temps. At 40 below, I breathed through a wool scarf to filter the cold as I walked to work a short quarter-mile downhill, glad my feet were warm (ya cannot start a truck in that cold--oil is too thick). The second pair got me through snows in Nevada in the shadow of the Carson and Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe. I slogged through the small stables behind my cousin's Reno home and threw hay to her horses. Adventures followed in snow and mud and muck and desert washes. By the third pair, I'd moved back to Utah along the Wasatch range, and my feet were warm while standing on a sheet of packed snow and ice all day loading beginners on a ski lift for one winter. And through city storms and country miles in Southern Utah and then three winters in a tiny town called Santaquin where I freelance edited online for ad agencies and scattered birdseed for wild birds after packing down snow underneath the feeders. And now it's time for the fourth pair. Wonder what I will do in this new decade, in my new boots with their clean new inserts, with new dreams. One thing I know. My feet will be warm and dry.

These are the best winter boots! I just love them! I ordered my normal size, 10. They seemed a little snug in the toes at first but after multiple wears they fit perfectly. Yes they are a little on the heavy side but they never slow me down, my feet are always warm and I love the look! I also love that I can just step into them without needing a hand to tug them on. I hiked up snow covered Eagle Mountain (the highest point in MN) with no troubles, wear them playing outside in the snow with my kids, and spent hours touring Bentlyville with these boots and my feet are always warm and happy! Love my Sorels ?

Got these in my normal size and the boot fit perfectly (nice & snug) with a thick pair of socks. Kept my feet warm and dry all day while I was in the snow. After a while, the boot does start to get a bit heavy due to it’s size however it’s a very small price to pay as it does an amazing job of keeping my feet warm and dry. I’d also like to add that I was on my feet pretty much the entire day in the snow so I’m pretty sure any snow boot would get heavy for wearing it for that long. Also, it’s very stylish and goes with everything! Overall, highly recommend!

I love the look of these, but unfortunately, they are huge! Comically large. I have been wearing a women's size 8 Sorel boots for years an these are a full 1" longer than my current boots. I appreciate how well made and warm these are, but my feet are just swimming in these, so they'll have to go back.
I'd also recommend:
Sorel, Frye, Columbia, Kamik

I am normally an 8.5. I read all the reviews and decided to get an 8. It was still too roomy. I got a 7.5 instead, this feels much better and my toes still have room to wiggle. It is heavy and you definitely have to pick up your feet. Style is amazing. I love the way it makes my outfits look. Kept my feet warm in this crazy Minnesota weather.

With other styles of Sorel boots I had to go a full size up from my usual to allow for thick socks and feet warmers. Not so with these boots - which I learned after ordering a pair that was a full size up and then a 1/2 size up before finally getting these that fit.

Great boots for the winters of Minnesota. I have wide feet and these fit great. The guy who bought these for his wife cracked me up! She’s right, you won’t be winning any fashion awards with these, they are big and clunky, but, they’re warm and will keep your feet dry! And I don’t agree with the reviewer who said they were very slippery. I have a driveway on a hill, I shoveled and walked across ice in them and they had great tread that kept me upright.

I went dogsledding in -18* F weather in Ely, MN and was loaned a pair of these boots! My feet never once got cold and upon returning home I bought this same boot for my next excursion up North! I found the fit to be slightly (very slightly) wider but you want your feet to be comfortable in extreme weather and to allow room for thick wool socks! Love Love Love this boot!

These are amazing! They look just like the picture and run true to size. They're great for walking on snow and ice. Prior to purchasing these, I struggled to keep my footing while walking my dog. These have been a major game changer. Not only am I able to maintain my balance, but these also keep my feet super warm and dry.
