Great boot. High quality. Wide toe box. Solid insulation. Heavy. Not for athletic endeavors. Looks great, stays warm, perfect for sledding, spectating, or a walk in the snow.

Just bought this boot and am so happy I made the splurge to finally get a pair of Sorel boots. They are warm and roomy and comfortable! I agree they are a bit large/clunky, but you have to remember this is a SNOW boot. My mother has Sorels from the 70's that she still wears and swears by. I needed a boot that is durable and reliable for Midwest winters and this is exactly what I got. The caribou boot is a classic.

I've never purchased snow boots before and tried on several pairs at REI before ordering the Sorel Caribou through Zappos. I normally wear a 8.5 and have narrow feet. I purchased a 8.5 in this boot and it feels fabulous! Went snowshoeing through deep levels of snow for 3 hours and my feet were always toasty and warm. (I wore SmartWool's padded socks). The boots are a little bulky and heavy, but they did the job!

I am very pleased with these boots. They were completely comfortable and kept my feet very warm. They did not slip on my feet when I walked like to many other snow boots do.

Super comfortable and warm. Wish they were a bit cuter, but are super practical. They are a bit bulky when you walk, but the warmth makes up for it!

Very warm and comfortable! I usually wear a size 9 or 9 1/2 so I ordered a 9 and while it is a bit big, once I put on heavy socks it fits fine. They do make my feet look big, but they keep me warm and are well constructed, I foresee wearing these for a long time!

I just got these and they're comfy. I live in Manhattan and I know when the snow starts they will keep me protected. I am a true 7 1/2 so I ordered an 8 and they fit very well with a little wiggle room. I can even wear big cozy socks and walk well. They have a nice width on them too, I have wide feet.

I had been eyeing these boots for a couple of years and finally decided to go for it. I am very glad I did. It was a bit difficult to slip the boots on and off the first time or two that I wore them due to the boot liner. But they now slide on and off with ease but I think they are snug enough to not let in any snow or slush. Great purchase.

I live in Colorado and have multiple pairs of various snow books. These are by far my favorite when it comes to keeping my feet warm and comfort. The added bonus that the insoles come out so you can warm them before you put them on is brilliant!

Just received these, so I can't really speak about wear, I am a size 8.5 so I ordered 9's, which were much too long and wide. Exchanged for 8's which are perfect even with thick socks, although I'm not sure thick socks are req'd with the warm liner.

Very good boot. Warm and comfortable. Felt a little small. The liner will come out when you take the boots off, which would be a pain, but they slide right back in. Overall comfort and warmth make this a great boot!

I normally wear a 7.5, so I ordered an 8, which fit with thick socks. These are so warm, the thick socks are not necessary, so I ended up returning for the 7. I do wish they had the half size. These are a bit heavy, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I ordered the shale/stone color, and I think they are about as attractive as snow boots get! Also, I typically don't like removable liners because they never go back in right... didn't have that problem with these - held their shape, and slipped right back in.

These fit great for winter boots! I like the color and the style. The liner is removable which is great if it gets wet. I'm excited to test these out in the snow and cold this winter!

I ordered a size 10 which is what I regularly wear at my daughter's suggestion. They fit perfect and there is no need for heavier socks. They are so warm. A little heavy for walking compared to what I am used to but not uncomfortable.

I am posting this review to help anyone who wears EE width and has bunions. These Caribou boots are plenty wide and comfortable! Out of all the Sorel boots I tried on, these felt the best on my very wide feet. They are also stylish and look great with jeans. Yes, they are heavy and a little clunky but the comfort makes up for that.

These boots are incredibly warm and comfortable, but they are very heavy. My feet stayed warm and dry. The fit was perfect on my wide feet. I felt like I was walking with weights on. It made my hike exhausting.

These boots are incredibly warm and hardy. However, I seriously dispute their hardiness. I bought them in Nov 2015. Our NJ winters are cold but I certainly do not need to wear them every day, particularly not these past 2 winters when we have had perhaps 5 days' total of freezing temps. Imagine my disdain when this winter, in December 2017, I pulled out my boots to find the rubber is perished and cracked, right along where the boot bends. They leak, I get wet feet in the snow and I am cold. Sorel deny responsibility as they are beyond the 1 year warranty. I will not be buying them again. A big expense that I expected to carry over several more years. Now I have to re-invest.
Overall, great boot but I expected it to last more than 2 years....

These were HUGE. I am not certain if I received a mis-marked pair or if they are truly just this large. These were immediately returned. I added a photo to see how much larger these are compared to a standard 6.5. The shoes to the left fit on the large/wide side for reference.

I live in Wyoming and a good pair of winter boots are essential. This is my third pair of Caribou boots. The first pair lasted 24 years. The 2nd pair lasted one year then the rubber on the toes cracked and the boots began to leak. I figured I just got a bad pair. I received this pair as a Christmas gift and they lasted less than 90 days, cracking in the exact same place as the last pair. These boots are junk. DO NOT BUY.

This is the third pair of these boots over the years. I wear them a lot, snowshoeing, walking the dog, shoveling and running errands, when the conditions require it. The last pair lasted me over 20 years. So I didn't even look elsewhere.

Best rugged, comfort designed boot I've ever worn. I may be able to postpone both ankle joint replacements indefinitely.

The finest pair of winter boots I own for winters here in Alaska. Very warm, waterproof and the most comfortable and durable.

Just wanted to share my dad's story- he's 92 and we just ordered new liners for his Caribous. I asked how many liners he's been through because I remember these boots from when I lived at home. He got to thinking and figured out he got his boots in 1978! He said cold feet made a hunting trip miserable so he stretched his budget to get Caribous and "fell deeply in love" with them (his words). He lived in Illinois and Wisconsin for years with them and still wears them in Nebraska. The uppers and rubber are in great condition and he's still deeply in love. I thought if any product deserves a rave review this is it!
