Sore feet - Perhaps I misinterpreted the Prowalker name, but these shoes have no padding and my feet and legs ache after 8 hours of work. I run a machine and basically walk back and forth about 10 feet all day long. I was expecting more padding. They are comfortable and do not rub, but I could not imagine walking all day in them.

I'm a regular size 11.5 -4Ewidth pronater and have purchased many pairs of New Balance, Rockports and Brooks walking and running shoes from Zappo I've re-read the previous positive reviews for this shoe, and I feel like I've been sent their evil twin. The pair of Rockports I received last week had the following problems: The right shoe was decidedly shorter than the left. The toe box on both was very shallow, so when the shoes flexed on walking, my big toe knuckles rubbed.. The fit at the back of the ankles was so tight that it became painful for me to walk more than a few steps. Needless to say, they have been returned, thanks to Zappo's liberal return policy; I'm waiting for delivery of a pair of Brooks Beast 18's. Hopefully they will be a much better fit

Length is true to size, but these shoes are wider than expected. I can easily slide the balls of my feet from side-to-side within the shoes, no matter how tightly they're laced. I'm wearing very thick socks, so I'm surprised that there's still so much empty space inside the shoe. The shoes don't breathe well. The label says that the uppers are make of leather, but it looks like it's been bonded to some plastic backing that doesn't allow air to pass. The insides of the shoe are flat, so there's no real arch support. I added some off-the-shelf arch supports to help. The soles are hard plastic. They feel like they'll last long enough for me. The color is marked as "white", although they're actually a pale bluish-green. You'd probably only notice that when they're near something that's actually white. I'll upload a photo so you can get a sense of the color. I have narrow feet, and it's hard to find shoes that fit, so I won't bother returning these. I wouldn't buy another pair, though.

These shoes looks good and feel good at the start of the day but the bottom front of both feet become really sore after several hours. There is insufficient support for these parts of the foot and the overall shoe bottom is too thin. The positive reviews I've read really miss something here.

When I first put them on, they felt really comfortable. I was excited and I liked the look of the shoe. Then after one day of wearing them, both feet were aching terribly and my right ankle was swollen to the size of an apple and completely red. I got home, took them off, iced my ankle, and sent them right back. VERY disappointed as these are called "walking" shoes and Rockport is a trusted brand with a good reputation. I would only recommend them to someone who is more concerned with style than comfort or even bone health and support.

I own Prowalkers from years past and was shocked at the drop in quality. The material and stitching is cheaper, fit is poor and arch support flimsy. This is more like a no name shoe from Walmart than what Rockport used to make.

Rockport shoe commentary - These shoes lack padding and are not comfortable for full days on my feet. Particularly the insoles hurt my feet. The fit is correct.

Been wearing this model over 20 years. Last pair terrible. Inner lining in toe area came apart after 2 days of wear and irritated toes. Unwearable. Never again.

Rockport ProWalkers have been my daily shoe of choice for about 20 years. This new pair feels just as good as all the previous pairs I've worn out. I was a bit surprised that ZAPPOS sent out a pair with a defect. Look at the photo and you'll see the little tab or loop on the tongue of the left shoe was torn nearly off. I suspect someone bought this pair, discovered the defect and returned them, ZAPPOS turned them around by sending me a "the shoes you want are now available" email and since I needed them immediately I kept them. So, the bottom line is, check your ZAPPOS orders carefully!

Once again Rockport fails -- this is the fourth pair of shoes I've ordered from Rockport this year in 11.5 D, all different styles -- again they don't fit -- all way too small, but even then none of those shoes were even consistent with each other. Ordered a pair of Clarks in the same shipment - at 11.5 D and they fit perfectly. Something is seriously wrong at Rockport manufacturing. Standardize your sizes to American sizes Rocky, or you'll be knocked out.

This shoe used to have a soft sole and were a great shoe. But now they have a hard plastic sole. Everyone knows hard soles are terrible walking shoes except the moron working for Rockport now. These are made in USA so it's most likely a young kid that's educated beyond his intelligence. I bought a size 9 EEE and they are a perfect fit. Very nice looking shoe as were the older soft sole shoe. It'll probably take years before Rockport hires someone that understands shoes again. Until then, expect Rockports to have soles so hard they sound like cowboy boots walking down a hallway.

The only thing that could be more uncomfortable than a pair of these shoes would have to be horseshoes. 8 hours in them made me want to cry and I'm a grown man. The soles have no give to them, like wearing plywood. Good looking shoes though.

The most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. Wooden shoes are probably better.

This is the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn! I have gotten better arch support from a cheap pair of WalMart shoes and they rub your pinky toe raw if worn for more then 10 hours.

Not comfortable at all. Poorly designed footbed feels like narrow sticks are under your feet. Returned.

The last time I will buy a Rockport. I used to trust Rockport, before they began their race to the bottom with Reebok. This style used to be my favorite shoe. Now, they have eliminated all arch support, and left it with a chintzy-feeling, cheap, short-lived, poorly fitted shoe. Everything about the shoe except the price tag is cheap. They've even adopted Reebok's formerly exclusive shoelaces which won't stay tied. Had I not already returned two pairs of shoes to Zappos, and been literally getting on a plane the next day to a trade show where I needed this new pair of shoes, they would have been returned. But circumstances stuck me with them, and I'm making the best of it. But never again.

I like buying this same style shoe over several years!

My husband loves these sneakers only ones he will wear usually can’t get his size always out of great price !!
