Wanted Dr. Martens 1460 for a while now. I've bought other Dr Marten style boot previously but not sure on size still. I am a true US 7 and previous Dr Marten boot 7 for women were too big and wide. They felt like clown shoes to me when I worn them. Worn them couple of times and gave them away. So this time wasn't sure which fit and size to get. After reading reviews on 1460 w, I decided to get this in US 6 but after receiving although my feet went in, they were super tight. I returned them and upped to US 7. They fit great but after wearing them a while they've gotten half size bigger. If you wear thick socks then they will fit great if you're a true women 7.

I love the floral print on these and the canvas is very sturdy. There are alternate pink satin laces in the box if you want to switch those out with the black. My foot is slightly narrower than average, which could be why my heel moves around quite a bit in the boot (and loose shoes drive me crazy). I'm going to have to wear these with extra thick socks to stop the rubbing. I can tell that one size down would be too small, so I'm going to keep these and just deal with the looseness since I like them so much.

These Docs are adorable; I purchased them in the Black Floral Patent. They do, however, take about a good two weeks to wear in. Also, it's very easy for the patent to rub off, which is supremely disappointing considering they're a more expensive boot with a well established brand name. For the most part, the arch support is very minimal in these boots. I have very high arches, but was able to purchase inserts and can wear them easily for most of the day. I don't regret my purchase of these boots and still wear them all the time, I just wish I knew before I bought them that they require more maintenance and looking after than would be expected of any other kind of boot such as these due to how careful you have to be to not scratch the patent; you can't do any kind of actual work in these. (Which I suppose, most people in floral boots won't be too worried about.)

I got these in hot pink, and as expected they have a long road to travel in terms of comfort. I normally wouldn't keep a boot that's uncomfortable except I know from experience that these will ultimately become some of the most comfortable shoes I own. As with all Docs, you should order a smaller size than you normally are. In other shoes i'm a 6.5, sometimes a 7. I got the UK 4 (US 6) and they are just right.

Bought this boot and the Dr. Martens Clemency 8-Tie Boot same time to see which one I liked better. Returned this boot as other one was easier to break-in. I will be wearing infrequently, so this boot would be tough to wear. It is the traditional Dr Marten "gotta break it in first" boot. Otherwise, fine boot, no issue with it. Runs big, like Dr. Martens do.

These boots are pretty nice. I have flat feet, so the shoes are a bit too narrow, but not so much that it's uncomfortable. I got these in the Cherry Red Arcadia, and the color is very nice. It's a subtle shade, so if you're looking for a more pronounced Red I would go with a different color. All in all I am happy with these shoes. I wear a Women's 7, and the UK 5 (women's 7) fit me perfectly. Also, I ordered these on a Tuesday night, and they were at my door Wednesday morning! Super fast shipping on Zappos part.

Love these boots! They're so funky and fun. Do note that they only come in whole sizes, the 7 was way too small, and the 8 was a bit too big, but I'm sticking with the 8s and wearing a little thicker boot socks...a small sacrifice for such funky cool style.

When I first bought the Black Patent Lamper 1460s, I bought them in UK 7 which should equal 8½-9 (women's), they were too big on me even though I am a size 8½ in most shoes. My feet were swimming in them so I had to return the UK 7 and get UK 6. Overall, it takes maybe 1½ days to break them in. I have only worn them to school once and around the house for two nights. The only problem I had with my boots on the day that I went to school in them was the top of the boot, where the leather lining is. It felt like there was a circle of blades around my calves. It was so painful but when I checked my calves after I got home, they were npt scratched up or anything, nor were they super red. They were just red in some bits but not around my entire calf. That was weird. So, the next time I wear these boots I will make sure to wear some thick socks. Does anyone know if that part can be broken into?

I get tons of stares and compliments on these shoes! The only thing about them is that they aren't AS comfortable as people say. If your looking for a boot to lace up really low so that the tongue can be loose, this isn't the shoe for you. The tongue is basically not big or long enough for the shoe! Also they won't keep your feet warm but they definitely have a great arch, so they feel good to walk in. Lastly, they come with some really cute pink satin laces! Overall this a very nice shoe!

Color is more of a magenta than the hot pink color featured in the picture. Also, they are a little plastic feeling but that's because they're new and not worn in. Overall these boots are great!

I bought my first pair of Doc Martens in 1991 and I finally had to let them go about 2 years ago because my foot had grown almost a whole shoe size. It was heartbreaking because they were perfectly broken in, too. I finally decided that even at 43 I'm still punk rock enough to get another pair and I'm so glad I did! ;) I also bought the Doc Martens insoles for a little more support. I normally wear a 7.5M and I ordered the UK6 (US8) size and it was perfect, so if you are a half size definitely go up.

I ordered these in the black floral and love the print! They were a full two sizes bigger than the size 7 that I normally wear though; I would advise to size down.

These were so cute, and although they were very stiff at first I couldn't wait to break them in. Even with giant wool socks, though, they were way too large. I normally wear a size 7 or 7.5, and I'll go up to an 8 for Asics running shoes, but I needed to give these away and I'm going to reorder in a size 6.

I wanted these to work. I had a pair of Docs back in the 90s that I never properly wore in, so I got rid of them and I've always regretted it. I recall the pair I had always felt a little too big, and that they were a US 9 (I'm a US 8.5 and they don't come in half sizes). So I got these ones in a US 8 and I couldn't even get the things on my feet. Maybe it's my high arches? Maybe my threshold for pain is lower in my old age? Maybe I'm just not goth enough anymore? Regardless, they went back, and I've accepted my uncoolness.

I really wanted to like these, but I just can’t. It is obvious that these had already been returned once, judging by the complete lack of packaging and the confetti inside the box. The package was left in the rain by the carrier and the box was completely soaked. That’s beside he point, I guess. The left boot tongue was so stiff and weird that it made the front of the boot at the top of the foot mash down when you pull it up to insert your foot, and the leather is so stiff that there is no way this is going to easily break in. The right boot didn’t do that, so I feel like it is a design flaw. If I would have loved them, I would try again, but I just didn’t. I got a pair of Soda brand PU patent boots that fit and are so cute and comfy, for $35. I’m going to stick with those ;)

These definitely run a bit small. The weather is beautiful and softer than the patent leather. I hope that means they will be easier to break in the worst thing about these is where the tongue attaches to the top of the shoe, inside. The seam protrudes, and is quite uncomfortable. I really hope this softens up as they break in.

It was way too narrow for me. The fit overall felt smaller than the jadon, even at the toes. It felt a size too small. While I want to order a size up, I feel it might still be narrow. Returning these unfortunately. The boots were super cute though.

Fit well, seemed like they would be comfortable without a lot of breaking in. Was just really worried with the material (black smooth) - looked oddly plastic and seemed like it would show every single scratch and scuff, and I'm hard on my shoes. Sadly returning, might consider another pair in a different material/color.

My high arch did not fit in this boot. Super nice boot, but my feet did not like them.

I brought my exact size and the tongue of the shoe hurt the top of my foot really bad. I think it’s the material however I could not walk for a long period of time they hurt my foot instantly!

I bought both the women's 7 and 8 in these boots, trying to find my size. The size 8 was fine except for the length (I'm a 7.5 in most shoes). I've always worn a UK 5/ US 7 in Docs, with room to spare. I thought the women's 7 in these boots would be great. The length & width were perfect, but the bottom seam of the lacing cut into the top of my foot so badly that I couldn't even take a step in these. The size 8 didn't have that issue, but the length was too much of a problem for me to keep them. I'll stick with the unisex UK 5 instead (I ordered those as well, but I returned them because Zappos sent me a used pair - so gross).

These are very comfortable but I am a true 9.5 . The size 9 was too small, I could feel my toes touch the end which I really don't like. I also ordered the 10 in this style which was a bit too big but I felt was a better fit. I really don't understand why such a popular company can't make shoes in half sizes...these are not cheap and supposed to last for years, you'd think they would make the right size available to the loyal customers. By the way- the style Sinclair runs bigger, I think I could have gone with the 9 but those are EXTREMELY heavy and uncomfortable and also rub really badly at the top of the zipper so I returned those as well.

Review update: the size seven stretched too much and is now too big even with my orthotics...but the six hurt so much with my orthotics that I don’t think I would’ve made it through the breaking in period! I think these just aren’t for me. Thank you for your amazing return policy, Zappos!
