I love these boots! I bought them as a summer shoe (I live in Seattle). They were comfortable right out of the box, and look great with shorts, jeans, skirts. I get compliments whenever I wear them.

They are more comfortable that I remember my last pair of Dr. Martens being. I ordered a half size down from my normal size because it was all that was offered and they fit great, I have plenty of wiggle room for my toes. They also came with a pair of pink faux silk laces to make them extra girlie.

This shoe is my daughter's first real serious boots as she goes to high school, and I'm taking no chances. If she was stepping off into the tough world out there, I was going to outfit her in tough shoes which hopefully will last her some years. The red is subtle enough to get noticed, but not really screaming too much attention. It's a little shinier that I would have liked, but hopefully, she'll get used to the stares. I'm wearing it out a little bit for her, because the leather is a little stiff. But I know DMs as I have 3 cherished pairs; these boots will feel like wearing sneakers after some wearing. And of course, the classic yellow stitching. I just hope she can rock the attitude well. Good thing Zappos still has her size...it's hard to find it anywhere else after winter!

These are great and really comfortable! They run large and it's a lot easier to loosen the laces on a slightly tight fit. Try on a couple of sizes and take the time to loosen them.

I got these boots a few days ago to replace my old ones and I am so glad that I went with the nappa leather instead of the smooth leather. They are way easier to break in and they look better in my opinion. I am a 7½ so I ordered a size 7 and a size 8 to compare. I went with the size 7 because the 8 felt too bulky and once broken in would probably get too loose. The size 7 is a bit tight but after using some Neatsfoot oil and stuffing some socks into the toes they already feel way better. If the seam that comes across the toe feels a bit tight rub some Vaseline on the inside of the shoe on the seam. It softens it up a lot. These also do not look as boxy and bulky as the 1490 in smooth leather which I like a lot better too. Overall these are great boots and once broken in are the most comfortable shoes ever and goes with everything. Not to mention Zappos' super fast shipping is a plus.

I'm usually a a woman's 9 and I ordered the 8 in these. They fit great, even with thick socks. When I first wore them I was discouraged because I got horrible blisters, but I took a hair dryer to the stiff parts while the boots were on, walked around and wiggled my feet while they were cooling down, and now everything fits perfectly! They're super comfortable and perfect for the rain and snow.

These are the coolest. You'll want insoles though; Dr. Martens aren't really comfortable without them. You also need knee socks; these boots aren't too comfortable on skin. What I like about these is that they match everything while being a cool alternative to black or brown.

I love these boots! They are tough while still feeling feminine and I have received tons of compliments on them. They are great in the rain and very comfortable. I ordered them a size up and found that they are a little big. I would buy them true to your regular size.

These are attractive and very comfortable. They have held up well. The only issue is that the tongue on the right boot twists to the side a bit. It does not impact the comfort but it is noticeable. I usually wear a size 8-8.5 but had to exchange them for a 9.

This is my first pair of docs in many years. I was surprised at the stiffness of the uppers. They wear fine, no rubbing or discomfort, but the stiffness makes it harder to get on and tie. Docs don’t have arch support, so added my own to these boots. Overall, I love the way they look, and the comfort is decent.

This was my first time trying doc martens. I am returning because I did not like the color. It says cherry red, but really more like oxblood. Also the leather felt very slick, like plastic. I guess this holds up over time really well. They were really well made, just not for me.

Daughter wanted these badly: She has a narrow foot. They first, but she will not wear them for very long because she finds them uncomfortable despite breaking them in for months now.
She still wears them, but strictly for looks and only a few hours. I do not think this is a great choice for an everyday shoe.
