I was disappointed in my last purchase of Graysons. I have several pairs that have lasted years. tow of which are Shell Cordovan. However, this last pair lacks the customary sheen of the Graysons I have purchased in the past.

Comfort level could be better. Feet hurt after several hours.

While these shoes are absolutely gorgeous, I had to return mine. Not sure how long they take to break in, but the insoles felt like they were made out of plywood. The leather is also very stiff and unforgiving. I wore them in my house on the carpet for about 10 minutes and my feet were sore. Maybe after breaking them in they would be more forgiving on my feet, but what if they're not? Too much money to risk it. No thanks.

Sloppy fit and inconsistent oxblood coloring with faded sections of dye. Returned on Friday with request for exchange to 12 1/2 3E and more consistent dying pattern.

The fit is inconsistent between the two shoes. The left fits perfectly but I had to add an insole to the right. And the right shoe squeaks when I walk. These are new problems for me compared to the Allen Edmonds shoes I have purchased over the last fifteen to twenty years. A little disappointng.

Ths is the second pair of loafers I have purchase, one casual, one dress, and in each case they were very tights both width and length. I am not sure whether or not I will make another purchase.

I wear size 9.5D but the shoes were too long. I thought I could make them fit better by using tongue pads and heel grips. They did not work. The shoes still slip rather badly but I cannot return them because they are worn. I had to cancel my other orders just to minimize my loss. I will not buy another loafers online.

I love Allen Edmund shoes and own three pair. The Grayson looks good, but this shoe is just not comfortable for me. I've tried to add cushion inserts but it made the shoe too tight. It feels like I'm walking on a rock.

I finally after 8 months took these shoes back to have them stretched. I expected that they would relax but they didn't. The sales folks were very pleased to help. Just be sure they fit correctly when you try them on. If they feel tight be cautious.

I have worn this shoe for years. I can not count the number of pairs I have owned.
Within the last few years the shoes do not seem to wear as well. The soles wear out much quicker than the ones made years ago. I am not sure if the leather is a cheaper quality or if Allen E. have decided to make lower quality shoes.

Not very comfortable. Hard to break in. I had to remove excess glue inside the shoe up by the toe. Not a good value.

Have many pairs of AE.
The Graysons slip significantly at the heel, fits long, fits wide.
I note a difference in AE now versus a few years ago. Also, the imported styles are not up to prior AE standards.

The loafer quality was less than I would expect. In fact a cheaper look than any Allen Edmonds shoe I've ever purchased.

I've ordered shoes from Allen Edmond's before and they we're the color I asked for, I have been satisfied with the quality and color. The pair I returned was not the color I ordered, it looked like faded pink! There was no luster even with that awful color. Seems the quality is not what the shoe normally represented

This was the only Allen Edmund shoe I ever purchased that gave me a blister. It was quite uncomfortable. I've had multiple Grayson lafers without this problem.

I had to return these shoes because they were cramped in the toe, tight across the width and stiff. I own other Allen Edmonds shoes that fit very well and have lasted me almost 15 years, so I was surprised.

I have purchased the Grayson at least twice in the last twenty years and this purchase was a disappointment, quality and finish was poor based on prior purchases.

I had heard great things about this brand for years. I have a narrow foot, so only certain models were available. The shoe is handsome and made of nice leather. But the fit is odd, the rear of the shoe being wider proportionately than the front. In addition, I don't think the construction is well done. Some of the inner part of the shoe has a ridge on top that is somewhat sharp. They definitely are not shoes I would wear to walk any great distance. I know my experience is different, but the shoes feel like they were a waste of money.

I bought these (in 13 3E) because they are supposedly made on the 7 last like the Macneil model. I like this last because I have very wide feet and I've found it to be the roomiest and most forgiving. However, this shoe feels nothing like the Macneil and is tight. I could barely get my feet in. I have tried multiple Loafers from AE but will unfortunately have to go elsewhere for this style because they all fit me too tight. Always keep in mind that ymmv and this was just my experience.

I have several pairs of AE shoes I am satisfied with. The Grayson model is well constructed, comfortable when standing or walking on flat ground, but has one design characteristic that makes it miserable. Basically the sides of the shoes are too tall and rub on the ankle uncomfortably when your leg is anything but at a 90 degree angle to the ground. If you are sitting in a car and your leg leans against the door or console, they hurt. If you walk up an incline like a driveway or parking garage at an angle, they hurt. But for this flaw, they would be great dress loafers.

I have a love hate relationship with these shoes. They are extremely comfortable but shortly after purchase I noticed that the tassle string was stretching out so the tassles were no longer up at the top of the shoe but now about 2" lower which means they constantly bounced up and down when walking. A few months later the string broke on one side and I had to tear the tassle off all together while wearing them in the office. When I have time, I'll now have to get them recrafted just to fix what I believe is a design flaw. Until then, they'll stay in my closet.

I like the shoes but 8-1/2E is not same as other shoes I have bought in the past. The top of the shoe is very narrow. I don't have time for ordering different widths and trying them on and then returning them.
One of the main reasons I bought from AE is that the 8-1/2E has always fit very well until now.
