Best Shoe for Dad's Swollen Feet - My 85 year old father is limited in his ability to move around on his walker and mostly sits throughout most of the day. As a result of this inactivity and his health condition, his feet are often very swollen. We looked and looked around our city for shoes that would accommodate his feet. We finally searched on the internet and found the PedWalker 3. It is the absolute perfect shoe for his feet. The stretchable nylon and removed insole are exactly what he needs. I was so excited about my dad's shoes that I shared the site with his Podiatrist. I wanted to bless others who might be in my dad's situation. My dad can now feel more comfortable when he attends church and goes to his medical appointments. Thanks Zappos for developing this shoe!!!!!!

Had a hell of a time finding a shoe to fit a gentleman I take care of. He's diabetic with EXTREMELY swollen feet, ankles, and legs. Every pair I ordered, I had to send back. UNTIL I FOUND THESE! They are the only shoes that will allow the velcro strap to close across the top of his foot - with room to spare! What a God-send! They are VERY sturdily made, and should last him a LONG time. We did have to send back the first pair for the next size up, as they were a little tight in the size he usually wears. The next size up was perfect - but that may be because his feet are SO VERY swollen. Just something to consider. THANK YOU, PROPET!

This shoe was the answer to the problem of buying shoes for my elderly dad's feet that are impossible to fit! His feet are so swollen that every other shoe seems to cut off circulation (if I can even get the shoe on him). I bought it in a 15 5E wide. MIRACLE SHOE!! It even looks nice.

Not the prettiest shoes but they accommodate my husbands edema problem. Velcro strap is long enough to adjust for days when it is hot and his feet are very swollen. So far, so good. Usually wears a 6EE but these at 5Ee are just fine. We will see how the material uppers hold up. No leather to this shoe.

The toe room was not adequate so they went back. Best feature is the extra long velcro closing, useful when worn with inflatable compression 'socks'

No bragging - No quality in the shoes. They do not hold up (the sides of the shoe) when I am walking. Not a very good quality of shoe.

Shoe is great....my husband has five pair....but the heel wears down as it is the soft foam type (but we keep them)....but that's probably what keeps him from getting his severe foot pains as it asorbs the shock when he walks....he's a diabetic with a broken foot that didn't get set correctly...this shoe accommodates all his irregularities and conforms to his foot; has no seams on the top material to rub and it has not worn out. We've ordered these shoes for many years and are not disappointed. I'm going to try to see if a cobbler can replace the soft sole. I wonder if they can put a tap the heel?

These shoes are quite wide without getting them in wide, which is nice because the sizes went from so-called D to 3x wide. ?? I don’t know if they were just out of 1x and 2x or if that’s just the way they do their sizing. But they looked promising from just the picture alone so I took a chance and they were perfect! I have neuropathy and occasional swelling of the feet and it helps that there are no seams on the inside to rub and cause pain. The upper and tongue are made of soft stretchy material so they will “give” a lot if need be. Plus with the option to remove 1 or 2 insoles, it gives me options as far a sock thickness or foot swelling or I could take them out to add my own idea of a perfect insole. Also they’re super light weight! Love them!

My first impression is this is a very soft and comfortable shoe, roomy toe space, and the moderated arch support is perfect for my flat feet. I tried three other shoes, this is the winner.

I bought these for my Dad who had polio as a child and has difficulty finding a shoe that is comfortable and will fit. He hasn't taken them off since they arrived, except to sleep! He loves them and they are great! We love Zappos!

Finally a shoe that fits edematous feet - Great shoes for people with edematous (swollen) feet. After my husband broke his hip, he was not able to wear shoes of any kind. I must have brought home 6 different kinds including Crocks which he could not get his feet into. The PedWalker 3 has been a blessing and they look nice too!

Propét PedWalker 3 - good for troubled feet - I bought these for my grandfather who has a very high foot...I would say high arches, but it is more than that...his foot just has a lot of volume at the area of the arch. We went with the 5x wide, which is also referred to as the xx-wide by Propét (stupid, but okay). It has loads of room for volume, and for him that means comfort. It would be hard for me to give any more comfort evaluation than that, for he has been wearing shoes that did not fit for soo long, I’m sure if these were this size, but made out of wood, he would still be as happy. They are not bad looking, but as the tops in front are of a neoprene type (wetsuit\waders?) material, I am not sure as to how much wear they will put up with. (So far though (2 weeks) they are holding up very well.) On the flip side of that though, is that the material is very flexible and will be very gentle to your feet. There are also removable insoles that allow you to create even more room as needed...but we did not find it necessary. Bottom line though...Zappos ROCKS...free shipping, and free return trip if needed...which we took use of when experimenting with length sizes. You can do the same, so give them a try. The best shoes ever - My father has swollen feet most of the time and to get shoes to fit him is extremely hard. One call, one order, and voila shoes that actually fit like a glove and look pretty good too. The support in the PedWalker 3 is very good and the fit excellent. I will be buying more shoes for my dad in the future. He cannot stop talking about how happy he is with your shoes, Thanks again Zappos!!

Truly excellent shoe for people with medical problems that require a spacious fit with good traction. Podiatrist called it an excellent choice. Beyond practicality, it does not look clumsy or awkward. It is casually stylish.

Thanks for your help - For year I had to wear sandals because I have lymph edema in both feet and they swell very badly. I saw these shoes ad thought I'd give them a try after many failed attempts with shoes in the past. They were immediately comfortable and I am very happy with my purchase. To tell you the truth, I never found them all that attractive, but people have complimented me on them!

Great Shoe - I have heart disease and my legs and feet swell badly. This is the only shoe I can comfortabley get on my feet. Extremly comfortable shoe and easy for care giver to get on me. Very lightweight. 2 innsoles can come out for added comfort. As soon as I can, I will be buy 1 or 2 more pairs to change off. Thanks Propet and Zappo's. Highly recommended. ***** all the way. Doctors love them too for patients after seeing mine.

Great Diabetic Shoe ! My 92 year old Daddy has senile dementia and diabetes and these are the ONLY shoes that he owns and can wear. When he has an "accident", these can be washed off and air dried overnight. I just purchased 2 more pair for him just to give him more to wear. They are wonderful !!

Positive - I found these one of the most comfortable shoes ever. True size and true width, which is most important to me, as I have very wide feet.

Excellent and Cool Euro-Shoe - I recently purchased a pair of these. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are also one of the cooler looking shoes. If you want quality, comfort, and euro-stylyng, this shoe is it.

My husband has hammer toes. the width in the toes was too tight.

Shoes were received very quickly which is normal for Zapos. Particularly like the shoes because of the extra long Velcro strap. Very handy when feet swell as the shoes are still wearable. Wish this shoe came in brown.

Great Shoes for Bunions, Gout - I bought these shoes for my 93-year-old grandfather who has a terrible bunion on one foot. They are soft (seamless) and stretch to accommodate large swellings without compromising too much support. The sole is made of a soft, porous rubber--at first I was worried traction wouldn’t be very good, but so far seems OK.
