I just received these yesterday. I have a high instep and wide (Fred Flintstone) feet. These fit well I will probably need to get longer shoe strings in order to tie them all the way up but that's because of my thick ankles. They are comfortable and cute and I'm a 60 year old granny. :)

I am a woman but I ordered these in men's because I like the stonewash metal color more (more green than gray). Having said that, if you're a guy with smaller feet looking for a wider color selection, definitely head on over to the women's section since it's pretty much the same boot. What's the point of limiting colors based on gender anyways? I digress, but man do I love the color of these with the contrasting plaid lining and black toe! I initially bought 2 sizes down but ended up exchanging them for 1.5 sizes down from a women's so I can't comment if these run small or not as there's always wiggle room for me when I go from women's to men's. If you plan on wearing thick socks you may consider buying a little larger than your normal, for me it was more snug at the top of my foot which is why I ultimately went 1/2 size larger so I could stick some arch supports and hiking socks in without feeling squished. And yes if you want arch support you will need insoles as they are pretty flat, but for me that's no biggie. I owned a pair of these boots in black during my college years but that pair was looking pretty sad so I repurchased these for my honeymoon in October to Europe. They feel exactly the same as my old pair did and those survived many adventures around the world over rough cobblestones, stomping through nature parks, volunteering excursions, etc. They are great adventure shoes since they have a great tread and are lightweight but also have that cool vibe that you can wear around a city and feel cool. In the past I sprayed them with a couple coats of waterproof shoe spray or gave them a good beeswax treatment so I can vouch that they handle those well and it does help keep some of the wet out since they are canvas after all. Always a great buy though with little break in time. I was so happy to see they really haven't changed much aside from the color selection.

I got these boots for my son who has drop foot from an accident. He needed the support from the high boot and is very happy with them. They help him to walk normally. I would recommend them to everyone we know.

I wear Timberland boots out walking muddy trails in the midwest, wanted something lighter for the city. Perfect light boot for rain or sludgy. I think the typical customer for these boots is looking for style. But I have been wearing them off pavement and been very happy, and I never fold them down. Fit was too narrow to wear boot socks so not the warmest boot but it is an even sacrifice for style which is great. I get a lot of questions and compliments on these. Note: I ordered the gray metal wash...arrived with a pretty good green to it. Still happy.

These boots are awesome. I was needing a shoe/boot for the winter, and I wanted practicality, function, and sturdiness. These boots are all that, and more. They're comfortable and light like your favorite sneakers, but they'll keep the slop and snow out, and away from your ankles. I'm a 10.5 wide in women's, I normally wear 11's. But I went ahead and ordered the 10 and they fit perfect. With room for thicker socks. They are so comfortable, I will definitely be wearing these until they fall apart!

I've had my Palladium's for almost a month & I'm more than satisfied with the look & feel of these great boots. My musician friends love the look & I let them feel the weight & a few have placed orders. These boots have serious "Swag" appeal. Size in this style is spot on. (These aren't my first set of Palladium boots. I first got introduced to them in Boston while working retail in college.)

I love them. Kind of remind me of Chuck Taylor's. Highly recommended for the 'everyday' boot. Would be way cooler if they had a steel toe.

I live in NYC, where the weather has been pretty nasty of late, and these boots have served me well. They're not waterproof above the rubber sole, so deep puddles are problematic, but the snow generally doesn't saturate the canvas. They're pretty thin, and there's no insulation of any kind, so warm socks are always a good idea. It doesn't look like anyone else has had this problem, but these boots seem to run a little big to me. I ordered a size 10.5, which is what I usually wear, but they were way too big. Even my roommate, who wears a size 11, said they were big on him. I exchanged them for a size 10, and it was the same story. I ended up with a size 9.5 after sending 2 pairs back.

The manufacturers botched the sizing Big Time! The materials used with these boots are Cheap and Flimsy compared to the ones I have ordered in the past. Seems like Palladium wants to charge the same amount of money for a cheaper version. Really disappointed. Should have returned them asap, but waited too long.

Once again I must give a review to WARN outdoorsmen. This is a style boot. I bought for hiking in Spain, because I knew they weren't WP I wasn't expecting them to be. However, for actual hiking, miles or kilometers a day, these boots will destroy your feet and rub the back of your ankles. The removable insole is fitted so it folded in half and wiggled around if presented with anything other that gentle, brief, city walking. This is not a combat boot, this is not for outdoorsmen. It is to look good. Don't expect this to be your mountain boot!

I liked these shoes, however they're made of loose canvas. they died within a month. while cool and all... $75 for a pair of shoes that lasted SERIOUSLY ONE MONTH isn't worth it.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!! Took it out into the wilderness for 10 days where it survived all kinds of abuse (trekking through mud, sand, puddles, etc.), and it kept my feet well protected all the way through. Not sure how long they will last, but so far they seem pretty solid. Also, they just look cool. May consider getting a second pair. Size ran a bit large, so I had to go half a size down from my usual size.

This is either my third or fourth pair of Palladium Baggys (sorry, lost track), but my first pair in a color other than black. I love wearing and walking in these everywhere, and on my second day wearing them I walked eleven miles without feeling like I was wearing new shoes. Next to no breaking-in time! The only comment I'd make about expectation versus on-feet experience is that the "Stonewashed Metal" shoes look gray on the page, but are more of a sage-green shade in person. I like the color, but it was a surprise!

I love these boots and have bought them more than once. They last and they look great.

I was planning on trying these out but ended receiving them as a free gift from the Zappos Rewards program. The aggressive tread attracted me in the beginning and was helpful when walking around on snow and ice. I also enjoyed the option to unfold the sides and lace them up like a full boot. Even though it's a boot it's lightweight and my feet don't get that tired after wearing them for a long time. I'm looking forward to buying a second pair in another color in the future!

Wonderful utility boot at the price point. I honestly don't think it can be beat for its price range. I bought this boot in the military green and the gray metalic color (one for utility and one for more fashion). Two weeks in and I couldn't be happier.

i love this boot. i have 5 pairs of canvas palladiums and this black one one is my favorite. with palladiums i find they run a tiny bit small so while i normally wear 8 womens, i get 8 1/2 in palladiums, and i buy size 7 mens palladium.

This shoes are very comfy!!! They are true to size and the color is amazing!! I find them to be very comfy, even when walking long distances! I'd say to spray them with a protective spray first... Since they are canvas!
