i love this boot. i have 5 pairs of canvas palladiums and this black one one is my favorite. with palladiums i find they run a tiny bit small so while i normally wear 8 womens, i get 8 1/2 in palladiums, and i buy size 7 mens palladium.

This shoes are very comfy!!! They are true to size and the color is amazing!! I find them to be very comfy, even when walking long distances! I'd say to spray them with a protective spray first... Since they are canvas!

I have a generally hard foot to fit. I usually wear insoles for this reason. I read some reviews and opted for my regular size, 8.5, expecting to use insoles. With my insoles in, the fit is almost perfect! Length is dead on and width is very comfortable. The heel counters are a bit wider than I'm used to seeing in similar shoes but nothing that has caused any sliding or slipping for my skinny feet. The overall build is a great shoe! The grippy lugs are a definite bonus and the square toe is nice. I'll definitely recommend these to friends!

Wore these literally everyday for almost 3 years, including weekends and 10 hour work days. They're finally torn up enough to buy another pair. Figure I'll keep replacing them every 3 years.

I've had this same pair of boots in another color for several years. I was so sad when they got dirty and started fading beyond repair. Luckily Zappos was still selling them. I get lots of compliments on them. They go with jeans or shorts. I wear them folded down, not like they are pictured here in the gray color anyway. Look at the others colors to see what they look like folded down.

These are nice shoes. If you are a Chuck Taylor lover you will definitely appreciate these. Unlike Chucks they do run a half size small. So size accordingly. I am an 11 in Chucks and I took an 11½ in these. That was a perfect fit.

AUTOMATIC! These kicks are so smooth they practically walk themselves! Perfectly lightweight great for any of life's grand adventures. Yes place.

I just received these yesterday. I have a high instep and wide (Fred Flintstone) feet. These fit well I will probably need to get longer shoe strings in order to tie them all the way up but that's because of my thick ankles. They are comfortable and cute and I'm a 60 year old granny. :)

I am a woman but I ordered these in men's because I like the stonewash metal color more (more green than gray). Having said that, if you're a guy with smaller feet looking for a wider color selection, definitely head on over to the women's section since it's pretty much the same boot. What's the point of limiting colors based on gender anyways? I digress, but man do I love the color of these with the contrasting plaid lining and black toe! I initially bought 2 sizes down but ended up exchanging them for 1.5 sizes down from a women's so I can't comment if these run small or not as there's always wiggle room for me when I go from women's to men's. If you plan on wearing thick socks you may consider buying a little larger than your normal, for me it was more snug at the top of my foot which is why I ultimately went 1/2 size larger so I could stick some arch supports and hiking socks in without feeling squished. And yes if you want arch support you will need insoles as they are pretty flat, but for me that's no biggie. I owned a pair of these boots in black during my college years but that pair was looking pretty sad so I repurchased these for my honeymoon in October to Europe. They feel exactly the same as my old pair did and those survived many adventures around the world over rough cobblestones, stomping through nature parks, volunteering excursions, etc. They are great adventure shoes since they have a great tread and are lightweight but also have that cool vibe that you can wear around a city and feel cool. In the past I sprayed them with a couple coats of waterproof shoe spray or gave them a good beeswax treatment so I can vouch that they handle those well and it does help keep some of the wet out since they are canvas after all. Always a great buy though with little break in time. I was so happy to see they really haven't changed much aside from the color selection.

I LOVE these boots! I have gotten so many compliments on them, and already talked two other people into buying their own pair! I've been looking for a good pair of work boots that didn't weigh 3 lbs a piece, and these shoes definitely met that criteria. They are comfortable for hiking and walking and they breath great (which is awesome when you live in a desert like me!). I will most assuredly be buying another pair from you guys!

I got these boots for my son who has drop foot from an accident. He needed the support from the high boot and is very happy with them. They help him to walk normally. I would recommend them to everyone we know.

Love this shoe. Very versatile. Looks great folded down as a high top or up as a boot. I was also looking for something less formal than a leather shoe, and this is it. I plan on ordering another color.

I got these for my son for a costume for a play, actually, and now he wears them every day! He says they are super comfortable and they look great with jeans. I got a half size up and that worked out fine.

I waited a few months to give myself time to wear the shoe before submitting my review. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I live in Seattle,WA and wanted a shoe that can take our rain and shower and support my need to walk here and there. I did add a arch support, only because I needed it, but the shoe is a great buy. Sturdy, cute and comfortable and for my budget a good price. And I have gotten several compliments about these boots. They are a keeper. I highly recommend them.

These look even more rad in person than they do on the site! I've been looking for a tactical boot that can stand up to all the trouble I get into, and these will certainly "Foot" the bill! If you want to use insoles or thick socks, order a size larger. Palladium sized these PRE-CISE-LY. Absolutely ZERO room for anything else but a socked foot. but that's what you want when it's time to cut and run, take that first step from 5000ft, or hanging off the side of a building by a nylon thread. The boots are light enough that kicks and jumps aren't hindered. The soles are great for gripping, stopping and turning. but be careful, a donkey kick in these is sure to leave a gnarly imprint. Great shoes! I'm getting the green and orange for real life next! Thanks Zappos!

I wear Timberland boots out walking muddy trails in the midwest, wanted something lighter for the city. Perfect light boot for rain or sludgy. I think the typical customer for these boots is looking for style. But I have been wearing them off pavement and been very happy, and I never fold them down. Fit was too narrow to wear boot socks so not the warmest boot but it is an even sacrifice for style which is great. I get a lot of questions and compliments on these. Note: I ordered the gray metal wash...arrived with a pretty good green to it. Still happy.

These boots are awesome. I was needing a shoe/boot for the winter, and I wanted practicality, function, and sturdiness. These boots are all that, and more. They're comfortable and light like your favorite sneakers, but they'll keep the slop and snow out, and away from your ankles. I'm a 10.5 wide in women's, I normally wear 11's. But I went ahead and ordered the 10 and they fit perfect. With room for thicker socks. They are so comfortable, I will definitely be wearing these until they fall apart!

I have worn Converse for years, Vans occasionally. I received these one day after ordering them and Wow, these are like walking on clouds, seriously the most comfortable "sneaker boot" I have ever put on my feet!

Love the look. One of the boots was a bit tighter than the other along the arch of the foot and against the pinky. Fits better after stretching, however.

I got these today. They are the first Palladiums that I have ever tried. They seem pretty solid, and pretty comfortable right out the box. I may get some gel insoles instead of the ones that they came with. I may buy a second pair.

These boots are very comfortable and stylish. They fit perfectly, and I like the fact that they can fold down if you need them to, even though I wear them up most of the time.

Thought I made an excellent choice overall. The only thing I might not like would be the style, I mean the sleek designs is badass, but also could be considered women boots. But hey I love them, ten times lighter than my last pair. I'd recommend to anyone.

I bought these for my 25 year old son. He wore them every day for a month and loves them! Boots are phenomenal Mom, he says. So comfy...never had anything be so perfect. And we got a kick out of Zappos sending him the boots via a "turbo charged sleigh"...love you Zappos!

I live in NYC, where the weather has been pretty nasty of late, and these boots have served me well. They're not waterproof above the rubber sole, so deep puddles are problematic, but the snow generally doesn't saturate the canvas. They're pretty thin, and there's no insulation of any kind, so warm socks are always a good idea. It doesn't look like anyone else has had this problem, but these boots seem to run a little big to me. I ordered a size 10.5, which is what I usually wear, but they were way too big. Even my roommate, who wears a size 11, said they were big on him. I exchanged them for a size 10, and it was the same story. I ended up with a size 9.5 after sending 2 pairs back.

I purchased this item as a gift. They loved it. It looks more like a "fall/spring" sneaker boot, but it has proven useful this brutal winter. The soles are great for slippery streets.
