Review of Moscoloni's Royal Formal Slip-On - Shoe appears to have excellent workmanship and materials. While this shoe has a snug fit, size ordered is the same that I wear in US made footwear. Since the shoe is made in Spain, proper sizing can be a factor. I feel with some break-in time, shoes will fit well.

The Epitome of Elegance - It's a well made shoe, perhaps a little bit too narrow. If you wear a D you should order a wider size.

Beautiful shoe. Standard width was impossibly narrow, 3E was still a little narrow through instep, but heel slips. My husband kept the 3E, had instep stretched, lived with loose heel. This shoe looks fantastic with tux.

Great looking shoe, but not entirely comfortable - Let me start out by saying that I couldn't be happier with the appearance of this shoe -- to me it's the ideal formal shoe (stands out from the rental-style lace up oxford, yet isn't as conspicuous as the traditional opera pump with bow). The price point is great too: I was about to buy a pair of Allen-Edmonds opera pumps for $300 -- that's a great quality shoe (and it would likely be more comfortable), but for the 3-4 times per year I'll have need to wear formal attire $100 for a shoe of this quality and style represents a great value. On to comfort and size. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, depending on manufacturer, and based on the other reviews here (which indicate this shoe is about a half-size small and narrow in the heel), I went with the 11. To me, it looks and fits exactly like an 11 -- not a half-size smaller. Also, in my experience the heel on this shoe is actually a bit wide -- to the extent that it slips a bit when I walk. (Note: I do have a narrow heel myself, but most slip-ons don't slip off my heel when I walk.) Regarding comfort, these aren't comfortable shoes -- the elegantly tapered toe results in a bit of cramping and discomfort, the padding and arch support is minimal at best and as I mentioned the heel slips a bit. In summary, I highly recommend this shoe and am happy with the purchase. Style and aesthetics are a slam-dunk, and even though the comfort is off a bit, it's well worth the tradeoff as in my opinion you won't find a nicer formal shoe (and again, unless you wear formal attire frequently, you can stand to be in less-than-comfortable shoes 3-4 evenings per year).

A bit smaller than "standard" - but beautiful & comfortable! These shoes are beautiful! They are different enough to be tastefully distinctive. A wonderful change from the rental type formals with the military look. The only challenge was that the size stated was smaller than other brands with the same size. This was no problem in that I bought the next size up. Totally satisfied!

Shiny tighties - The fit of these 7 EEE's are tighter than my 6.5 EEE Ballys. They also cut into the lateral ankle bone. The Moscoloni Crowns look more stylish and fit better probably because they have laces.

Beautiful, but they run small. My hubby ordered these, and they are too tight. He liked the way they look so much, he has re-ordered them in a larger size. Fingers crossed!

This shoe is fine. The only criticism I have is that it is a little too narrow. I was quite pleased with your service.

Note the size differential - Note the size differential. I customarily wear a 10.5-D in a dress shoe, but noted other reviews stating this show ran smaller than marked. I ordered a pair of 11-EEE, which fit perfectly. Very nice looking shows and very comfortable. Sales and service with Zappos was absolutely tops.

Great Deal - Great bargain on a great looking shoe. I followed the other reviews and bought the shoe wider than I normally do and they fit perfectly.

"EEE" is way too narrow. Not good for high instep

A Classic Handmade Formal Shoe - If you are the type of gentleman who prefers owning his evening clothes, needs a handmade, slip-on shoe in a wide width, and wants to spend less than 200-dollars retail, you will certainly appreciate the Royal.

Too tight - nice looking - I was disappointed to find the shoe tight, even though it was 3E. plan to return it...

Its worth the discomfort - I love the look of this shoe and although it was too narrow I kept it. I brought it to my local shoemaker and had him widen the shoe at the instep. It feels much better now. I wore them for 8 hours to and from and during a wedding. We danced, stood and sat with them with reasonable comfort for a new pair of shoes. You will not find a nicer patent leather shoe.

Elegant but tight - An important disclaimer - I haven't worn the shoes yet (the wedding is next month). These are very elegant-looking shoes with clean lines. The patent leather is nicely offset by the sueded strap. However, these shoes seem to be made for people with flat feet. I don't have a high arch, but I'm having a great deal more trouble than I should be having to get my 4E feet into these shoes.

Shoes - Really disappointing that they did not fit well. Length great...width...not wide or extra wide at all! Had to wear them as is not enough time to reorder. Tried to use a shoe stretcher to help with my two NY formal events. Wish I could send them back.

VERY Narrow! Although marked an EEE, this shoe felt like a B - VERY narrow. I usually wear a 12 EEE - that was too narrow, I returned it and ordered a 13 EEE - still too narrow. If you have a wide foot doesn’t get this shoe as you will end up returning it!
