The fit of the shoe itself is comfortable, no breaking in required, although the strap bites into the skin if put on too tight. I needed to get additional insoles, however, only because my feet are too flat. Earth soles need getting used to, but once on, they are comfortable, especially when pounding the pavement.

I love this shoe! It is comfortable and much much cuter than I thought an Earth shoe could be. I found that I could go down a half size from what I normally wear. Zappos was the only retailer I could find that had the Solar in stock. Thank you!

Buy 'em! I have never gotten so many compliments on a shoe before! They are very bright (not what I am used to wearing), and the negative heel technology takes a bit of getting used to, but these are the most comfy shoes ever and everyone notices them and wants them!

These are great shoes - They are a little wide, so if you have extremely narrow feet, you might want to steer clear. They are so comfortable and I will probably buy another pair when these wear out. I wish that I had waterproofed them, because mine are getting a bit dingy and scuffed. Also one of the Velcro bits began to come loose a little before I would have thought.

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn - I wore them flying cross country and did not get a back ache standing in the security line. My feet did not feel swollen from the flights. They are as comfortable as slippers and kind of funky looking and I will probably order another style.

Earth Solar - I love these shoes, but must comment on the workmanship. The Velcro on the strap should be covered better: it snags hose and pants. I also had to trim off the nylon threads on the inside of the shoe and strap that were poking into my foot. Now I find these shoes the most comfortable I have and will order two more pair in the other colors.

Earth Solar - I love these shoes; they're more comfortable than Birks, and cute/trendy too. They also fit true to size. The Velcro on the strap sticks to pants, but other than that these shoes are super. I would buy another pair of Earths in a flash.

Best fitting shoe ever - I have 3 other pairs of Earth shoes already and this one fits the best of any shoe I own. Dansko, Birkenstock, Naot and Clarks are the shoes of choice. This one will be the shoe I will be wearing to Dublin the end of February. I wear a 10.5 or 11 and the 10 fits perfect. Thank you for the great service. Martha from Chicago.

Great shoes! I bought two pairs of the Earth solar shoes. First, the colors (red and brown) are wonderful, rich and almost jewel-toned. The profile is a little lower than the previous Earth shoe mary-jane look, making them less clunky, and able to be worn with somewhat dressier outfits. They provide the same posture benefits and are a welcome style addition to the earth shoe line.

Lives up to the hype... This is a great shoe and it's the first Earth show I've worn. I love it and my body appreciates the better posture.

earth solar shoe - I love this shoe, I stand to work all day (hairdresser) and this shoe distributes the pressure evenly on the foot. I wish it was made in narrow so I wouldn't have to wear heavy socks.

Very satisfied! When I was in high school I wore a pair of Oxfords that were, as my dad said, "Uglier than sin". Despite their homely appearance they were the most comfortable footware I owned. About 3 years ago, I stumbled upon a store which sold Earth Shoes. Since I was in the market for some sandals I tried them on. The memory of correct posture and comfort was wonderful. My sandals and I have been walked many miles in all weather. However, I knew there would come a season I would have to retire them. So, I was on a quest for another pair. The store was out of my size in the style I wanted. This is a common problem since I wear an 11 wide. A bit dissappointed, I decided to shop the internet. Delighted to find this website with a style and size I could use, I ordered my new shoes. I am a myotherapist with a busy practice, a busy mom. The negative heel technology is perfect for me since I am bending over people all day. My hips, knees and lower back rarely are sore after a long day. Thank you for your speedy service and for carrying my old friend- Earth Shoes! (I have recommended this site to some of my patients.)

A Great Little Earth Shoe - I have ordered many pairs of shoes from Zappos, but this little red shoe is one of the best. It has an excellent "solar", high tech look, the leather is of the highest quality, and the comfort would be hard to beat. I have diabetes and am on my feet a great deal, working in an art gallery and traveling. Comfort and flexibility are very important and these shoes are working perfectly for me.

Cute and comfortable, what more can you ask for? I love these shoes, I have worn them almost everyday since I got them. They do take some getting used to however since the lower heal streches out your calves. Once you have broken them in, you won't be able to live without them.

Full Comfort - The shoes are comfortable from the first wearing on. A very nice addition to my wardrobe.

Earth Solar Shoes Review - I ordered the Earth Solar shoes for my daughter. She is a server in two restaurants and a college student interning at a nearby elementary school. She's constantly on her feet. She absolutely loves the shoe. She says they're so comfortable and look great. The way the soles are made, makes her stand up straight and improves her posture. She just absolutely loves them. We both give them 5 stars. I'd recommend them for anyone who is on their feet a lot. Also, when they were delivered we received free shipping/handling and they were delivered earlier than expected. I would definitely order from Zappos again. Thanks, G&A

Good shoes and good service - Back when I was in college in the 70's I had a pair of earth shoes and just loved them. It is nice to have a new pair, they are very comfortable and help my posture along with my foot. I was also most impressed by Zappos quick delivery. I ordered the shoes the night before and it came promptly the next day. Thank you.

Great! Yes, these shoes are wider.Ii have a narrow foot, but this just leaves room for socks as far as I'm concerned. They are so comfortable and look really cute on. The red is not a clownish red, it is funky and fun.

Earth Solar Shoe--black and red - I choose this shoe because I had been having alot of trouble with my feet. I have fallen arches. I am soon traveling to New York City and knew I would be walking alot! I got the black pair quickly and followed the suggested break-in (a bit at a time) and I was SO happy with how my feet felt and with how they looked! They are NOT bulky looking like my Birkenstocks. They are much more stylish. The reviews I read said they were great for a wider foot, which I have, so for my wider foot they ARE PERFECT! They are SO perfect that I soon ordered the red pair and will most certainly order the tan pair soon. I LOVE these shoes, but more importantly, my feet LOVE these shoes! This company gives outstanding service, which is also very important to me!

Got ta love these shoes. I got these shoes about a year ago to wear to work. I am a nurse and am on my feet all day/night long. After a period of adjustment to the shoes (follow Earth's recommendation that you begin by wearing them for brief periods, not 12 hours like I did), I found them to be my most favorite pair of shoes EVER. Not only do they look really really cool (I get compliments on them all the time), they are incredibly comfortable and keep my back in alignment. Now that I work in a medical ICU (I was on a psych unit before), I have one pair for work and one for outside work.

Great shoes! These shoes have been a great change from my usual (Dansko clogs) and I am enjoying the added workout that they offer. They have taken a while to break in, requiring numerous band-aids for the process. I would say that has been the only drawback about them.
