I've been wearing Sambas for probably 25 years now (as casual sneakers). This model is a cheaper / budget version of an old favorite, with fabric lining (which is doesn't breathe well), rather than leather. Nice to have the tongue with a laces holder (unlike some models) but simply not as nice as the more "deluxe" models across the board. Basically, the Samba you'd expect to see at the discount outlet stores, rather than the real deal.

I love Sambas. Had a great pair that I loved for indoor soccer. Thought I would try another pair but I got the sizing wrong (I had to guess women’s size). Definitely lot of grip with the sole. I’m used to a bit more give. I’m not sure how I feel about the tongue - it did not feel like it was durable. felt like it was made out of foam. I returned them right away so no idea how durable they actually are.

This shoe is a bit stiff on the outside, soft and comfortable on the inside. So although the comfort is good overall, the fit is not: it's a bit too short in length and loose in the heel, as though you could walk right out of them.

Need to return them. They are a half size to big

The shoe is great except for the flap in the front. I ordered these for golf as Zappos doesn’t carry golf shoes. I don’t like the spikes so opted for shoes that will have a grip. Unfortunately, the flap in the front is very exaggerated and almost touch his shin.

Got these as a gift for my son who usually buys variations on plain white adidas. He liked the overall look and style but had a strong aversion to the tongue of the shoe which was unusually tall, thick and uncomfortable, it seemed to stick out too high above the top of the shoe and added bulk. For that reason he returned the gift.

These are cute, but wow that giant tongue is super uncomfortable. I ordered the suggested 7.5 in men's (I'm an 8.5 in women's) and it was definitely too big. I would try the 7 next time.

My S.O. has been buying the standard Black/White Adidas Sambas for years. For some reason, the latest stock of 11.5 Men's Adidas Sambas have a strange navy-ish hue on the toe cover. We returned the pair since this seemed like a strange aesthetic development...Hoping they will return to original aesthetic that we know and love as pictured in the product photos...

Ehh. I’m a huge, loyal fan of Adidas so I’m not going to say anything bad about Adidas but these just weren’t for me. I’m not saying they aren’t comfy, I just wear mine when I go fishing with my boyfriend now cuz they aren’t my go to for anything else.

I still like the shoe's look, but upon trying it on and walking with it I noticed that on the right side, it pinched my big toe with every step I took. It didn't get better after adjusting the laces a few times either, since it was happening further up the shoe. Make sure you're also aware that the tongue on the shoe is extremely long, which some people may like, but I personally found it a bit uncomfortable. Decided to return the shoe for these two reasons.

Shoe has very high arch support. It was very uncomfortable for wear.

Great looking shoe if you can overlook the oversized tongue. Unfortunately they got like vise grips. It became clear quickly that these were not keepers.

I am female and wear a size 8 women's shoe/size 9 running shoe. I wanted very plain, classic shoes for indoor play and the women's styles are too flashy. So I tried this one ordering a men's 8 (too long but really narrow), and then a men's 7½. This one was too snug in the toe and still narrow. The tongue is also irritatingly long. Maybe this shoe would work out for guys not for me. In the end I bought the Mundial and absolutely love it! My daughter loved these and wears them daily.

This is a pretty good-looking shoe, but it has a pretty high arch molded into the bottom of it. I have medium to high arches and it was really uncomfortable for me. It's a shame - I was pretty excited about these shoes, but I sent them back right away - there's no way I could wear them.

Great for casual-wear and running around, this shoe is incredibly durable and stylish. I've worn Adidas shoes for playing tennis to great effect, and figured I'd give these a shot for everyday shenanigans. I measure as an 11E on Brannock device and found 11, 11.5, and 12 too small with Sambas due to the very narrow last. 12.5 was still quite narrow upon fitting, but 13 was far too long. I kept the 12.5s hoping the width would stretch out, and they have a bit, but throughout wear my big toe will goes numb. I have low arches and Sambas have either incredible or intrusive arch support, depending on your feet. It was noticeable at first, but only got worse for me as time and wear increased, to the point that my arches get numb and tingly. The leather upper isn't breathable like canvas or nylon, but it holds up better to moisture and cold. The sole is a hard-wearing compound that works great indoors and on carpet. It is fine on aspalt and grass, too, with a tread patten that is smooth with divots inside rather than nibs protruding to touch the ground, making this a decent shoe for any weather except ice or really wet and slick concrete. I have odd feet and was desperate to just find casual black shoes that would last me more than 6 months working as a server (Looking at you, Rockport.), figuring I'd throw them away soon. Instead, I've worn them for nearly 4 years and these Sambas have put up with me far longer than I expected without tears or separation of the upper from the midsole. Despite Samba being uncomfortable for me, I strongly recommend trying them out.
