Received my boots on time and have been wearing them for a few days now. Only complaint is that there should be more cushioning inside at the ankle right where there are 3 layers of leather that meet. Inside it creates a stiff high point that rubs. So far break in seems like it will be quick.
Boot saved my foot from being a chew toy for a customers dog on my second day of wearing them, lol

I work 15 hour days in a construction site office environment and found these to be the most comfortable shoes for those long days. I haven't tried all the constructions shoes that are out there and stopped looking once I've found Timberland Pros.
The soles under the ball of the feet tend to become unglued after awhile but have never totally separated
from the shoe.
I recently bought my last pair at a sale price on Zappos. Hard to beat that. Thanks Zappos.

Great pair of works boots. I wear them every day. One of the eyelets broke pretty soon after getting them. Fortunately I never use the eyelets anyway. But something to be aware of if you do.

These were my first true work boots. I bought them when I was 19 years old going into a shop that worked 12 hours a day 7 days a week 90% of the year. I wore the soles of these boots smooth. I had holes in both toes and the steel toes black coating worn shiny. With all that abuse in just over a year they were still comfortable but I figured it was time to retire them. I bought my second pair and did the same thing. Took a little more care made them last a little longer. Now I'm on the 3rd pair and I've already got another pair just waiting for these to retire. They are that good. I wish they lasted 5 years but for me that's just not possible

Nice looking boot, but at least 1/2 size smaller than marked. Reordering next size. Also ordered the steel toe in this boot, and it was at least a full size small, and the leather on the steel toe is much lighter brown than the soft toe version.

I use these boots daily. I am an automotive technician so I am constantly on my feet and moving around. In my experience, even if it says oil and slip resistant, you can still slip.
This boot offers way better grip than the boots I was previously using. The boot fit nice right out of the store and will only get better over use and time. I have no complaints about these boots.

These boots look and feel amazing and I love wearing them. My only concern with these is that I needed to be able to stand up for hours on end without discomfort and still have protection for my feet. The boots fulfill both of those criteria perfectly, however since it is currently winter and there is no blacksmithing to be done this raises the problem, in half an inch of fluffy snow one must tread carefully. Also the leather is quite soft so don't accidentally kick anything because you might put a big ugly scratch in your very expensive timberlands.

I had tried another boot which was $200 and wasn't close to the immediate comfort and good fit of the Pit Boss.
Really nice boot. Im especially appreciative of the anti slip features engineered into this boot.
My one gripe is that whilst the name includes soft toe, it is not a soft toe and that bummed me out a bit and the reason for only 4 stars on the overall score. I guess they mean soft compared to their steel toe or composite toe boots? I don't know but it still feels like there is some hard plastic or some kind of piece in the toe. It most certainly is not soft, but the general feel and comfort not to mention support of the boot is so good I'll think i;ll learn to live with it just fine...

Looks good, feels good. I wear this boot casually but it could easily work well for a work boot.

My son wears these boots 365 days/year because he has limited use on his left leg and needs a brace to walk. This boot is one of the few that comes in a 15 W ( his size and hard to find) and offers good ankle support. We replace the boots about once a year. His last pair has fallen apart - the soles are separating and he has not had them a full year. Based upon the recent posts, I believe there must have been a bad batch where soles separated regardless of time worn or the amount of wear and tear. I hope Timberland will reconsider their position on replacing the shoes with soles separating.
Because my son finds these books a great fit and usually wear well, we will continue to purchase.

Good work boot. Just got it and worn 4 times. Fix is a little on the large side and Medium widths feels like EE, but not bad. Very good arch support. Looks and feels like a rugged work boot.

Good Boot the one thing that needs to be fixed are the speed laces if you need to use a regular boot lace it is a tight fit. Where I work you are required to use Arc flash shoe laces and it is a tight in the speed laces. Great arch support. overall I am pleased with this boot

It's a great boot, gets the job done. There is one con however, it may just be me and the way I wear them but my innersoles are shot. They have worn away in some areas. Again, it may just be the way I wear them.

Pros: Very comfortable from 1st day. After break-in, can stand in all day without fatigue. They have the traction I was looking for. Looks good too. Like the quick lace system. Cons: The hard plastic/rubber bottoms aren't as flexible and pliable as I'd hope. This inhibits your confidence for fast pivoting or plant and go movements as well as bending at the tow when on your knees. With all the movement above, the shoe laces often become untied. In freezing weather the bottoms freeze and feels like walking on a platform. Scale 1-10, I'd give them an overall 7 for a dependable work boot.

I didn't give it 5 stars but this is still a great shoe. I work in a refinery and the oil resistant soles have definitely sold me on this shoe. To be fair, I purchased them here on Zappos in July 13 and it's now Feb 14. I use them daily at work. These are good shoes. They take a while to soften up but the heel area is a little hard. I've put a small insert and it's fine now. These shoes double as a winter boot for me and I've since shelved my winter boots. It's really water proof. Never slipped outside or in the refinery on the slippery oil floors. A tad heavy but you'll get used to it. My only complaint was with sizing. I wear a consistent 9.5 street shoe size. I preferred the 9 but the toe box seemed stiff and a little narrow. When you go up to 9.5 it feels like the width is now too wide. I was confused but ended up going with the 9.5 due to long periods of standing and walking in them. Get the size that fits you best. I didn't want to have a snug shoe that made my toes curl.
