Good shoe - Nice heavy duty, well made construction shoe. Little tougher to break in and narrower than other Doc Martens that I've bought in the past, but all in all, happy with the purchase and would buy them again.

Dr. Martens 7A12 Series - I work in Production and as a Stagehand, so I wear steel toes all the time. Like most of the others have said about the shoes, they’re great overall. The fit, comfort, the style adds class to them, etc. I've bought 2 pair & plan to buy another in the near future. I've also purchased the "Caterpillar - Pursuit Steel Toe" shoes. If the "Dock Martins 7A12 Series" had better traction on the bottom, like those, they'd be perfect all around in my opinion. They get very slippery on the bottom in wet conditions & in dry when trying to push heavy road cases or rigging up above, & etc. they slide too easily. That's the only downfall I've noticed in the 2 years I've worn them.

Great Steel Toes - Great fit, no "break-in period" they were comfortable from the first time I put them on.

Satisfied - I purchased my first pair of the steel toe Dr. Martens and am very satisfied with them. The overall weight of the shoe is hard to get used to and also the color from one to the other was slightly different. Great shoes and I hope they last a long time.

This is the second pair of these shoes I have purchased. The first pair didn't hold up so well, but I am hoping for the best with these. Overall, Dr. Martens has a really good industrial shoe.

Good work shoe - Not a bad boot for work. Love the look not so much the weight of these puppies. But if one must wear steal toe, can't go wrong with these…

Great…if you love a steal toe - I have had this pair of Docs for about 3 years now. Still going strong. The steal toe isn't my favorite--very constrictive. However the look and durability of this shoe is terrific.

Gotta love the steel toe. Great, big tough shoes to wear w/ slightly over-long jeans. Steel toe good for nudging folks out of the way and kicking in doors. A bit sportier than the classic Docs, but that works okay for my applications. Too heavy for serious dancing, of course.

Serious boots - I wear a 12W in women's shoes, and it is often difficult for me to find the styles I like in my size. I find men's shoes more accommodating. I really liked the look of these shoes online, but was surprised to find out that they were steel toe. (Oversight on my part) They are fine, though. They are not terribly heavy, like I thought they would be. You can't even feel the toe. I think they are a little lacking in cushion, though. I bought some gel insoles to go inside, and now they are great. I would buy them again for sure.

Nice but heavy! These are comfortable but they feel like they weigh about 10 lbs, a lot heavier than most of my other steel toe shoes.

Fabulous Look - Minimal Comfort - This shoe looks awesome. I live in the Rockies where it snows, and this shoe is great for the winter. It adds two inches to my height. It is great because you can where it out on the town, and to church. There isn't much comfort, but with an insert, it would be great. Very tough shoe!

Good strong shoe- This steel toed shoe feels very restricting but looks great. I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on doing a large amount of walking in it.

Great work shoe - The shoe its self is nice. I orderd a 10 in womens and they sent me a 9 but its still fits and is still kind of big. But it's ok. The shoe is some what heavier then my other work shoes. You really cant tell the difference once the shoe is on. I will order again when mine get old.

This is my second pair of Dr. Martin steel toed boots. I'm on my feet 12 hrs a day and these are very comfortable. The steel toe does not touch my toes. I wear them around when I'm not at work just because I like them so much. Who knows, I might have to kick someone? (jk) These are not as heavy as the others that come up over the ankle. The only drawback I see is they scuff up fairly easily--but oh so comfy! Buy from Zappos!

My son has yet to find a comfortable steel toed work shoe. He finds that his toes end up hurting at the end of the day but by no means is that the fault of the manufacturer. When you wear a size 12 shoe and you buy Dr. Marten shoes they are just bigger and heavier than most. Would be nice if they offered a WIDE width. the quality is great.

The shoe seemed a little narrow, as I've never had to buy "off sized" shoes. But my toes were slightly cramped. I wore them for 15 hours at work the first day, there were a little heavy, but I never slipped on the floor once (resturant) whereas with other "nonslip" shoes from other brands I slipped constantly. Very Pleased!

Yep they're shoes - While I know this from past orders, the shoes are not as comfortable as people would have you believe. IN addition to being heavy the do not bend well and if you squat often they have a tendency of having the sole crack. I like these shoes; however, because I know I can get a solid year out of them as a server, in the wet oily environment of the kitchen and then look good out on the floor. I know they are more water-resistant then some of the more popular "shoes for crews" and work well with a steel toe I can trust. However they are about a half size smaller then reported, and can be quite a bear on ones legs.

Shoe review - I bought the shoe cause I disliked the high top shoe that restrain your ankle. After I received the shoes and wore them for 10 days straight, I noticed that there was a pressure point in my left shoe in the center of my foot. It was like having a toothpick in there. Very uncomfy. I would've noticed the comfort level if I tried them on at Boot World. However, the shoes were more expensive. Something to consider next time though.

Great looking but not comfortable - I bought these shoes to wear while on my feet all day managing a well known coffee house. The shoes look great; however my feet KILLED ME after 8 hours standing on them. Even with shoe inserts, it was terrible. They really have no arch support and are pretty flat. Plus the shoes are HEAVY with the steel toe. If you are a food server or are on your feet all day, think twice about this shoe. Sorry to say, because I LOVE Docs!!!

Good Stylish Work Shoe - This shoe seems to serve it purpose but after three months of daily wear the seem on the back started coming apart, luckily Zappos was nice enough to replace these shoes despite the fact they were worn and out of the 30 return policy. Hopefully the second pair will hold up better. Also I would recommend that you invest in some of the gel sole inserts.

Uncomfortable - First, I have to say that I have had my last pair of Doc's for about 6 years, and they have been very comfortable and durable. This is a great looking shoe, and I expected the same comfort from these as I have all my Doc's. But, even after two weeks, these shoes still have several uncomfortable attributes. First, I have always worn a size 12 US /11 UK, and they fit fine. Going on a hunch, I ordered one size bigger, and they still were on the small side. Also, the most annoying part, there is an area of stitching under the bottom shoelace where the leather comes together that rubs my foot raw. After many attempts to stretch, or flatten this area, it still fits my foot poorly. This problem gets worse as the shoelaces tighten. Also, the quality of the materials is not as good. The leather is thinner, the lining material seems very cheaply made, and the stitching is sloppy in several areas. The question is: Would I buy these again? Never. I also think my days of Doc's are over. I will switch to Red Wings when these fall apart, which I think will be about 6 months or so.
