Walking Shoe for all occasions. I had been looking all over the internet for and attractive orthopedic shoe for my 85 year old mother who has Parkinsons' Disease. Finally, I found Propet's Mary Jane Walker for her. Her arch and instep turn inward so with most shoes, other than a high walking shoe or oxford, she is walking on the inner edge of her foot. The Propet supports her inner foot enough to give her comfort and support when she has to wear something dressy. The leather is smooth and soft, but firm. The shoe is attractive. When the inner cushion was removed it gave more depth to support the foot.

Excellent for little girl with adult size feet. It is a great shoe! Well worth the money.

Best shoe in the world, if they have your size - I love this shoe, and feel it is appropriate for office or hiking, church or walking! I wish Zappos would get the 6 1/2 Wide size re-stocked. I'd buy several!

Propet's Mary Jane Walker - These darling shoes are really good looking. Roomy toes, well supported arch. Only problem is the ankle area is rather high cut and rubs on the ankle bone. May have to put in a little lift. The size fit is true. I love these shoes.

Arthritic Feet - I found the Mary Jane Walker to be the first "dress" shoe that I could wear other than a sneaker. I wore them to a reunion and was able to dance and avoid aching feet. Having arthritis in my feet, I really appreciated the feel of this shoe.

Happy Feet - Shoes arrived quickly in great condition. Exactly like picture and true to size. Comfortable and great quality!

Comfortable - I was a little disappointed in the toebox depth, which matters greatly when you have bunions.However, I stretch the shoe a bit and it seems fine.

Yep, it's the strap - Very comfortable shoe and it doesn't scream "orthodpedic". I have the chocolate suede, wear it with jeans and sweaters. I ordered wide. Love the roomy toebox. Only problem is that the strap isn't really adjustable, as noted before. This is my 3rd pair of Propet shoes; they hold up well and baby my plantar fasciitis- and arthritis-stricken feet.

air - These shoes are like walking on air for real. They are so comfortable and mold to your feet.

Outstanding shoe for tender toes - I have neuropathy in my big toe and because of this, it hurts when any part of my shoe rubs on my toe. This Mary Jane is absolutely outstanding. I have plenty of toe room even with socks, and it is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I plan on taking it on a trip to Italy. I request this shoe in different colors. Zappos is the greatest!

Great Comfort! I love these shoes! They were so comfortable right out of the box. I didn't even have to break them in. They are quite stylish as well. I have been having so many problems with painful toes, and these shoes gave me welcome relief in a size 7 1/2D. I highly recommend these shoes!

Great shoe, but velcro misplaced - This is a great shoe, and very comfortable. I agree with the other reviewers that there is an issue with the strap. The problem is the manufacturers did not think out how to place the velcro. The hard plastic catchy side is a small block on the shoe, instead of on the strap. So the "adjustability" is really not there. You have to line up the velcro correctly or risk ruining your pants or not having a secure enough closure. If they had switched the velcro so that the hard "hook" side were on the strap, and the smooth wooly side were on the shoe, it would allow for more adjustability. Not a reason to return the shoe, but a minor frustration with what is otherwise a great pair of shoes. Also, because of the padded ankle collar, I find I have to scoot my foot back into the shoe before strapping it closed. I think this might be why some of the reviewers thought the shoe was too short. Once scooting my foot back, and securely fastening the strap, I find these to be a great pair of shoes, and intend on buying more colors. P.S. - if this is your first time to Zappos, they are a GREAT internet store with excellent customer service. I buy all my shoes from them now, especially since they have the "widest" selection of wide width shoes anywhere.

Very pleased! I am very happy with this style shoe. I have a very wide foot and a high arch and a high instep. This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have been able to find in a long time.

Comfortable shoe and good looking too although a bit clunky. Would like to see a softer cushion insole. No break-in - felt good right from the start.

I love being able to wear a new shoe right out of the box that FITS! More arch support is necessary when wearing during a standing 8 hour shift.

The shoes look really nice; however the velcro on strap is not long enough for diabetic, swollen feet. Velcro should really be much longer. Also could use more cushion support.

Uneven places in the inner sole hurt my very tender feet.

The inner sole did not quite meet the inside of the shoe, so that rubbed my very tender feet. That is sad for me.

The length and arch support were fine. But the loop through which the strap slides rubbed against my instep; so I had to return and try another brand. Too bad. My other Propet shoes fit perfectly. Just a problem with this particular style.

I need to use another insert-level of softness and thicker socks. I'd give these shoes a 4-star.

While I really liked these shoes, they would not work with my AFO. My toes was hitting the end of the toe box. I did order them in a 1/2 size larger, but that pair made a weird squeaking noise with every step I took. Unfortunately, these did not work for my AFO needs. With that being said, they were very comfortable for the foot that does not have the AFO, so I am sure they would be a great choice for someone else.

Unfortunately I had to return the shoes because I needed a narrower heel width to avoid the heel slippage but I think it is a great shoe because of the adjustable strap. I wish these shoes would have fit me (tried two sizes) and hope they keep carrying this shoe.

Finally! After ordering 2 other pairs of similar shoes, these work. I took out the factory insole, and there is plenty of depth for my thick "athletic" insoles. I have wide forefeet, and these are comfortably roomy. The shoes are a bit too wide for my narrow heels, but the mary jane strap helps. The strap is velcro and seems cheaply made, but hopefully it will last long enough.

Slightly narrow in the toebox. I cannot stant to have my forefoot constricted in any way as I have sensory dysfunction disorder.
