The shoe runs small and narrow, especially at the front toe area where the rough stitching is easy to feel beneath my toes. In addition, the toe strap cuts into the sides of my toes. Too bad because the shoe is attractive and has good arch support. I ordered another size up with same problems in addition to a defective footbed.

This is a somewhat comfortable sandal, with good arch support and structure. It is an attractive style, and has adjustable straps, but runs narrow. My feet are medium wide, so I find the raised edge of the inner sole, and the stitching, cause pressure and rub my feet. The leather sides don’t rest flush against my foot – the leather “buckles” on the sides.

These sandals are cute in the photo and not quite as attractive once on. Unfortunately had to return as the strap was not comfortable near top of my foot.

Wow. These arrived yesterday and I put them on immediately. The size was just right and I was pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of arch support. I have high arches and especially in a sandal there is usually little if any support. I bought these to replace a pair of Teva sandals that I bought probably 15 years ago. They are my "go to" sandals and preference for walking or standing. They have been my most comfortable shoes for all these years but they are definitely showing their age and the hard use they get. I just haven't been able to find something to replace them and I have tried. These Naots were a bit pricey but if they last as long as the Tevas they will be more than worth every penny. I'm smiling. (I've only had these for a day and I never give 5 stars but if these sandals live up to their promise I may have to revise that policy.)

These are really attractive but the strap that goes over the toes rubbed against my big toes so I have to return them. Also, I have plantar fasciitis and didn't think the arch was supportive enough. Other Naots that I have seem to be okay with arch support. I'll stick with the Vionics sandals even tho these are more attractive.

Wonderfully comfortable and supportive footbed, but ever-so-slightly narrow. I especially like the side panels attached to footbed, which provide a little more stability and protection of foot. No at is the only brand I can wear without my custom orthotics because of the good arch and metatarsal support, made even better by the cushioning of its materials.

These are very cute and great arch support. The design has a slimming effect as it comes up a bit on the sides but is also open. This was a nice change for me as I have a Big and Wide foot. High arches, plantar fasciitis and a bad back mean finding something that does not look like clown shoes is a challenge. Thank goodness for Zappos; I can still have some style rather than just granny shoes (not to knock the grannies). I did have to exchange for a larger size as they do run narrow, even to my standard. One additional thing that offers great mid-support is a narrow strip on bottom of the shoe that I've not seen before. This looks like it will keep it support up rather than breaking down quickly with use. You can see it in the photos of the outer sole. I also had no idea the insoles came out until I read it in the reviews. I actually thought that was a mistake until I gently lifted an edge.

First, let me say this is a very practical, well made sandal, built for comfort more than style. It would have been fine except that on my foot, the back strap seemed too short, pushing my foot forward; loosening it with the Velcro strap made the shoe too loose. I will add something about sizes because I look for those opinions in Zappo reviews before making purchases. Since there was such a variety of opinions regarding sizing in the reviews, I ordered both the 39 (my size in a closed shoe usually) and the 38 (which I've often needed in sandals). Had I kept one of these, it would have been the 39s (8-8 1/2)Unforunately, they have to be returned.

The arch support is great. I seem to have developed a tailor's bunion, and this shoe was not sufficiently comfortable in that spot. Also, there was a stain on the side of one shoe right out of the box. These shoes cost way too much for that to happen. I will be returning them.

I'm always looking for shoes that work with plantar fasciitis. For me this shoe works well for short term walking. Doesn't have a lot of arch support but so much better than a 'flat' shoe. Love the adjustable straps. Color is great. Zappos is awesome when you have to try so many shoes to find one that works with your specific issues!

This sandal, like all Naot shoes, is amazingly comfortable but unfortunately the bits of leather that fold in around the edges was very scratchy on one of my heels, so I returned them. Ordering another style of Naots right away though.

These are nice shoes that are unexpectedly kind of sleek once you get them on. But the foot pad is very narrow, and when I replaced the bed with my orthotic, my toes rubbed painfully on the raised outer edge (meant to keep the foot bed in place). They have a sturdy base.

After sending back four pairs of shoes this season I found one I'm keeping! These fit well, feel solid and give lots of arch support. I've walked quite a bit in them without discomfort for my bunions and I hope to enjoy them all over Europe this summer. Despite their plain appearance, there is something in their classic looks -- updated with velcro closures on the heel and toe -- that appeals to me. My only complaint is that the leather is stiffer than I imagined it would be and a bit rough on the inside. This made them a little hard to get used to and why I gave then four stars. I put a pair of peds over the inserts which helps to make them comfy in hot weather.

These shoes did not fit well. No matter how much I tightened the straps, there was too much space around the ankle. They just felt odd and looked like they would rub. Returning.

So disappointed! I have two other styles from this "Scandinavian Collection" that fit my foot perfectly, and I expected these to be the ultimate walking sandal. The problem for me is the back strap, that does not adjust, and it was too big for my particular foot. I did love the "stardust leather". I thought it was a beautiful, creamy-taupe neutral.

The leather is soft and comfortable, the width fit my side foot and the arch support was very good. However, I am returning them because I need a heavier and stronger shoe base for walking on cobblestones and the desert ground.

Very comfortable sandal. I wore these walking throughout Europe. Only complaint: after hours of walking the under side at the toes began to rub wrong & hurt my skin. I had to add a bandaid. This wasn't a problem with more moderate amounts of walking.

These sandals fit very well with my high arches. The leather is a bit stiff so I need to break them in.

Love Naot shoes; however this style was a little small for me. I usually wear a 39 in other Naot sandals and my toes hit the edge of the shoe. The shoe appears comfortable and the style is great.

They are very comfortable and it is great to have the velcro straps to adjust the width. However, they do run small. It would be great if there were half sizes (but that is not Zappos' fault).

These were so comfortable and good looking, but the leather is so stiff and the buckle so uncomfortable that my feet were rubbed in several places. I was sad as I liked them otherwise. But I am now returning them.

I have had this shoe in brown and black for many years, but finally needed to replace it. I was pleased that Zappos still carried this style. However, it will take some breaking in as the velcro straps are scratchy and irritate my foot at both the toe and ankle.

I unfortunately had to get rid of these shoes. They were extremely comfortable, but I have a very narrow foot, and the strap on these could not be fastened - as there was not enough Velcro on the ankle strap to fit. I tried gluing on more, and even went to a shoemaker - who would have charged me a great deal to fix the straps. Even the foot strap was pulled so far over it stuck out. I love Naot shoes, and I was disappointed.

Comfortable walking sandals and more attractive than they appear in the photos.

Naot makes great sandals with excellent arch support. I do wish they came in widths. And this sandal had to have extra velcro added for the ankle strap to fit snugly.
