I bought these as a general work boot. They're fairly comfortable but a bit wider than expected. If I wear a thick boot sock they're usually OK. The insole has heel padding that is glued/sewn to it which is separating (I don't think that's supposed to happen). They are not 100% waterproof. I went through some water about 3 inches deep and they got a little damp inside. Going through wet grass and a little rain they're fine. If they fixed the insole issue and they were more waterproof, I'd give them 5 stars.

At first they felt pretty comfortable, but by the end of the day the bottom of my feet were hurting. I tried them for a few more days, but didn't find them comfortable at all. I am pretty flat footed so maybe that was the issue...no arch support. The insole also has some kind of weird split design that started coming apart after a couple days of wearing them. I've had Timberlands in the past which were very comfortable, but I would not recommend these boots.

I have had these boots for 2 or 3 years and they are fantastic. I am not one to every write reviews but felt I owed it to these boots. They are great for work boots but can also be styled and worn going out. They do get a bit cold if you live in extremely cold climates like I do but I have still been using them as essentially snow boots for years.

These boots definitely live up to their hype! These boots are so stylish, comfortable, and just all-around a cool pair of boots to own! What I love about these boots is the fact that you can wear them for a lot of different reasons, like grocery shopping, date night, going out, etc., and they still go with everything. I recommend these boots to anyone who's thinking about getting them! :)

These are a must have! But be sure of your fit for these style of timberland boots. I usually wear a size 8 in sneakers, sometimes 7.5 so I went with my gut and got a size 7 because I saw the other reviews that mentioned it running a half size too big. It still feels a little bit less than half size too big, and just slightly too wide for my comfort though.. I do have narrow feet. Nothing that one of the timberland insoles can't fix though! Don't use super thick socks to fix this issue or you'll have some super uncomfortable hot feet all day long.

Very stylish boot which fits well. I am a 10.5 in adidas and a 10 fits great. My last pair lasted 10 years and this is a great replacement. Hopefully these last me another decade.

I am an Iron Ranger fan but, as a new Colorado resident, I wanted a pair of insulated, stylish, casual boots for winter. Tim's have always fit the bill for that and will do so again.

Last pair I put them through three years of hard labor. I'm expecting the same for these. I never have a bad thing to say about timberlands, you pay for what you get and that's the bottom line.

One has to purchase a 1/2 to a whole size smaller for a comfortable fit unless you are planning on wearing very thick socks and an insole. Otherwise, I've been wearing this style of Timberland boot for a very long time and when I've come back for a new pair I have not been disappointed.

I ordered my first brand new pair of Timbs, and I am in love. All the other pairs I have owned have been hand me downs from my older brother. There is nothing like a fresh set of Timbs.

After reading several reviews and feeling conflicted on if I should order my actual size or a size smaller, I went ahead and ordered my correct size. Sadly the boots are two sizes too big. I am a size 17 and they fit me like a 19. There were literally three inches of space behind my heel. So I had to order a size 15 and they fit fine now. I wouldnt waste my time writing a review if I didnt want others to know that these boots are over sized when you have larger feet (my wife ordered her normal size and they fit her perfectly). So beware. If you have big feet, just go ahead and order one size down. Other than that they are perfect.

I have poor circulation in my feet, so finding warm boots that actually work, look good, and are comfortable is a lifelong obsession of mine. I'm a school teacher and I'm on my feet all day. I decided to buy these after looking at "style" boots like ones by Frye and the other end of the spectrum, I also looked at construction boots by Timberland Pro and Red Wing. I think these strike a balance between ruggedness style, and price. They were comfortable right out of the box and required virtually no break-in period. I find they chafe a bit in the "bend" if you have a deep stride, but I stride fairly shallow. Over the last couple of weeks, the leather has loosened up and they only do that if I'm running. Over 12 hours a day standing, and my feet don't get tired. Very comfortable insole. There is virtually no arch support, but I like that because I have fallen arches. If you have high arches, you might need to replace the insole which is removable. In line with other reviewers, I find these fit at least a half size bigger than normal maybe even 3/4 of a size. My normal size is a 10D. Although I knew they run big, I ordered them in my regular size. I like to wear very thick socks. I wear the boots with a silk sock liner from REI and thick rag-wool socks from L.L. Bean and my feet have a bit of wiggle room. Very nice for easy walking and standing around. If your feet tend to run warm, I would definitely order half size down from usual so you can wear standard crew socks. I don't see these being sturdy enough for hiking. The sole is too soft, and the heel-shank is too broad. The sole is also glued to the body of the boot as opposed to stitched; as you might see on a high-end boot. If you look very closely, you can clearly a shiny band where the boot meets the sole. This is the glue, and the stitching below it is a faux detail. I used a soft wire brush to scrape off the top layer of glue-residue so as to lessen the shiny effect. It took two minutes and doesn't affect the quality. I also own the black suede color in this identical boot, and the shiny glue is more noticeable in the other color. I don't have an issue with a glued sole at this price-point, but it does beg the question as to how many seasons they will last under very heavy use. I own specialized hiking boots, and I wouldn't buy these for hiking. These are more suitable for being "about town" as the saying goes. So far they're comfortable and they keep my feet warm to about 45F. Below 45F, if I don't keep moving, my toes get a bit cold, but like I said, I have poor circulation. My feet have stayed dry even in heavy rain. My only complaint is that the laces that came with them are garbage. I threw those away immediately and replaced with new ones in tan cloth almost the same color as the sole. The new laces give them a nice contrast and make these look less like construction boots. I would strongly encourage you to get new laces if you decide to buy these. I also bought cordovan shoe cream and smooth boot wax at Nordstrom so I can maintain that shiny look. This color scuffs and scratches very, very easily. Just getting in and out of my car I scuffed them. I find that I give them a quick buff with my horsehair shoe brush right before I step out of the house to keep them looking new. By comparison, the black suede model which I also own doesn't scuff or scratch hardly at all. Also, when placing this brown one side-by-side with the black one, these brown ones look more dressy. I think it's because the tan sole reduces their visual bulk. Either way, I find that I can wear these with jeans or with brown slacks so they're a bit more versatile that way. I love these. I get compliments on them all the time, and they're not really available in stores, so that's a bonus. I also own the black suede model, and you can read my review of those under that color tab. I hope you find my review helpful.

This is a very comfortable and durable pair. No doubt that it is still my favorite pair of boots in my cabinet since I got them six years ago.
