I was so excited to try out these boots as its starting to be rainy season, and for some reason finding quality construction is so difficult. They are very sturdy, quite stiff. I was surprised to see after a day of walking to work and grabbing groceries I had a ring of bruise around both legs where the "cushioning" at the top of the boot had been. Also there were spots up my leg that were bleeding from where the eyelets had rubbed into my foot and leg. Its impossible to lace them up all the way because the laces that come standard are too short. I cant even return them because they've been worn. i'm out over 200$ and super disappointed.

I have had 4 pairs of these boots and these were at least a full size smaller than the boots I currently have which are sized the same.

i sent my defective pair and was sent a gift card, got my replacement pair and there was so much excess glue around the midsole it was terrible! I do not wish to send them back cause of the wait times and i have to pay for taxes again. Quality is going down for sure...bummer cause they use to be my favorite boots...

For the money the product was not polished. I placed an order the boots had mark on them and I recived second one and again the glue is very visible and does not look right. I have to go back again to switch them. I should have just gotten something else.

We ordered size 17 boots in a Wide. They were very, very, very wide. Then we ordered them in a 17 Medium. The Mediums are the exact same width as the Wide -- no difference, just a label change. My son wears a wide shoe but this boot is very unusual in its proportions. Customer service was unable to answer my questions and unable to help me find a boot that would fit.

Saw these boots all over the news during the Riots in Ferguson Mo the last couple months. I don't think I want to where any boots associated with rioting, looting, and a general disrespect for law and order. Timberland only has themselves to blame because they have promoted these boots by sponsoring a butch of thugs from the hip-hop and rapper world. Not for me!

Timberland boots, at one time, were one of the best and most durable boots you could get. I used a pair working in a glass shop some years back and they took a pounding. There is absolutely no way the current quality standards they have can produce a boot for any type of work. The most recent pair I purchased barely lasted a few months before the sole started separating from the upper. The people who say they are really durable must be basing their review on an older pair from back when they actually cared about quality. It appears now that they market their "work" boots more toward urban fashion than people who used to get them for their quality. The pair I have was bought at a Timberland store. When I attempted to have them replaced under the terms of their warranty, which used to cover them for any defects in materials or workmanship, they informed me that the company is under different ownership and their warranty policy has been amended to only cover them for 60 days from the date of purchase. Basically it seems they know they produce stuff of lesser quality than before however they have not lowered the price to compensate. Sorry Timberland, but this will be my last pair of boots from you.

Overall I was very disappointed with these boots. I bought them anticipating top notch quality, especially considering the hefty price tag. They turned out to be extremely uncomfortable, and worst of all, not even waterproof like advertised. Only a little snow was able to soak through both boots one morning while I was cleaning out my car, so by the time I got to work I had wet toes. Only after using almost an entire can of water proofer on them did I find them to be waterproof. These are way overpriced for the quality of the boot. Definitely a never buy again kind of boot. Really the only plus side is that they are somewhat good looking, although impossible to keep clean, especially the canteen color. Once I wear these out I will most likely be getting a pair of Chippewa boots. I tried on a pair of those and was amazed at the difference in comfort and qualify. Sorry Timberland, but you guys need to start making better "premium" boots.
