Great shoe - Dr. Martens are known for their sizes not being precise. My husband bought these shoes and one was too small for his foot, but he wears them everyday and hasn't complained about them since. He absolutely loves these shoes and wears them as his work boot. The only problem he had was the size was a little off.

Outstanding Boots!!! This was my first pair of docs and I wear them constantly!!! They are comfortable and don’t even feel like a steel toe... Zappos got them to me right away. I was surprised at the how quickly they arrived.

GREAT BOOT- I actually use this boot for work. I have a job that requires a strong work boot and this one really stands up to the test. I am very hard on boots and I feel that this one is going to last me a long time.

Beautiful casual shoe- How can a steel-toe work shoe be "beautiful" you ask? It's the leather, which is a bit darker and richer than it appears on screen. Combined with the black laces and contrasting stitching, it just looks great. Two notes- I recommend against running the laces through the loop on the tongue; it makes the shoe fit loosely and it's harder to lace up. Also, although the size runs true (true to Doc Marten sizes, that is), the heel area is still a tiny bit big; I'll be getting heel grips for mine. The shoe does need to be broken in a bit, but that's normal for this type of shoe; the footbed is immediately comfortable though, which, I think, is the more important indicator of lasting comfort.

Wonderful Boot - This is the third pair of Dr. Martens that I have purchased, with the first pair purchased in 97. All three pairs are in good condition. The '8845' is my preferred footwear due to the style and comfort, wearing it both on and off the job. I have owned the '8845' for just a year now, and it is in near perfect condition. (I treat it with Mink Oil.)

Dr. Martens 8845 Series - I bought these work boots for my husband after he picked them out on Zappos. He is a real estate agent, in a rural area where there is a lot raw land, so the terrain can be wicked at times and hard on your shoes, that is why we chose Dr. Martens. They stand alone when it comes to comfort, quality and look. Even though this is a "heavy duty" work boot, it is stylish enough to wear with everything. My husband loves it and now he loves Zappos as well. Dr. Martens are like Zappos, you can't go wrong!

Great Docs - These shoes were a purchase for my son. Docs are great shoes with excellent features. The free shipping is always a bonus with Zappos. Quick, reliable service is a plus. It is always a place I go to for shoes.

Work shoes are grrrreat. I never had to break these in, but the more I wear them, the more comfortable they are.

Very nice - These are very comfortable. Not as stiff as other work boots I have had. After you get used to that they are great.

Good all around shoes - I use these shoes for construction and they never make my feet hurt or dig into me when kneeling.

Great Boots - For an industrial shoe, these look really cool. They are a little heavy, but that is to be expected from a steel toe. I'm enjoying them a lot and other than their weight they are comfortable and have a lot of coushining.

Excellent for work - Be careful with size, felt larger than marked. Otherwise excellent, very comfortable for work. Good in winter when its cold, too.

Excellent Work/Casual Boot - I first purchased this boot 2 years ago for work, and am now purchasing a new pair. They have worn great. I have never had a more comfortable "work" boot, and it is also nice that once I'm not at work, I can also wear these out and about as a good looking, and very comfortable, casual boot.

My work boots - My new Dr Martin work boots are one of the most comfortable steel toed boots I have ever worn right out of the box. The only thing better was the ease and comfort of ordering them from Zappos.It was one of the most painles online purchases I have made yet.

Best Boots Ever - I had these boots for 3 years, and with a little Dr. Marten wonder balsom, to this day they still polish up like a champ. They look great with jeans too. These boots can either be for work or style. These are the ole' Doc's best work yet

Top Notch - These shoes fitted perfectly to my foot. The shoes fitted snug but not tight or loose. The steel toe, I did not feel. They were a bit heavy. The walk in them felt cushy and springy for each step. They did provide some arch support.

They're a good looking shoe. The best steel toe I ever had, although one shoe is ripping out after 16 months. They scuff pretty easy for a shoe intended for an industrial environments. This shoe should be offered in black.
