Very comfortable! Small window to break them in but definitely wearable right out the box! Fit true to size (though initially thought they ran a little big, but that's just how the Birks are). Love these sandals!

I usually wear a 7.5 so I ordered the 38 and my pinky toes were hanging out of the sides. I ordered the 39 and they fit perfectly. Breaking in took a couple days, wasn't too sure about the comfort at first, but after some wear they are very comfortable. My only gripe is that for long periods of walking, the piece between my toes rubs and starts to create a blister - but just when I've been on my feet for the whole day. Normal everyday wear seems to be fine.

So comfortable! I have horrible plantar fasciitis and chronic foot pain. I struggle with finding the right shoes that aren't sneakers. I ordered these and love them. They are cute. Took a few days to break in, but now are like slippers.

These sandals are the best! Just to let you know when you first put them on they will hurt for several days until they adjust to your foot. After that they are so comfortable.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock shoes and now I am wondering why I waited so long. I took these on a trip to Sicily recently and wore them almost every day. Great walking shoes. Super cute, comfy, and great support. I'm now trying to decide what color my next pair will be!

I love these! I bought them because I am pregnant and walk to work. I wanted a comfortable yet stylish walking shoe to get me there and back. They are awesome, a little glam and a lot comfy! I highly recommend them and will be ordering more Birks in the future.

Love my silver Birkenstock Gizehs! I've been wearing them just about every day, and get compliments on them all the time. Just plain comfortable and go with everything for the summer! I am a size 7 in all shoes and got the 37 after talking to someone who already has them. They fit great! Just FYI though, straight out of the box they feel uncomfortable at first. I almost sent mine back...but my sister told me I had to break them in, so I wore them around the house for an hour and they were perfect! Haven't taken them off since!

Well, you can't really go wrong with Birkenstocks. One of my other pairs is 20+ years old and still going. These are quite a bit more stylish and seem more streamline. A bit thinner than my Arizonas, they still fit my slightly wide foot perfectly. I did not have a problem/pain with the toe thong as others have mentioned, but I do notice it's there. These are very attractive and look great with anything: from shorts to a summer dress. They feel quite secure when they're on unlike some other shoes in this style.

I had to order three pairs of these shoes before I got the right fit, but it was worth it! Many reviews say that this shoe runs big, so I ordered a size smaller than I normally would. For me the length was true to size. However, I do think they run wide. I know I have narrow feet, but I do not generally buy narrow shoes - they simply don't make that many, so I ignore the issue and wear the regular shoes. The narrow Birks are perfect for me, though! I can tell that the break in period will be a little bit of a struggle - these shoes are stiff, and have a lot more support than anything I've worn before. Last summer I broke in a pair of Rainbow sandals, and it was well worth the work.

These were not for me, I ended up getting the Birkenstock Mayari and am very happy with those. So the Gizeh we're my first try at Birkenstocks and as soon as I put them on I knew I wouldn't be keeping them. I'd read all the reviews about the plastic toe piece and since so many people were still happy with them I decided to get them anyway. It wasn't the toe piece that made me send these back though, it was the thong flap. On my foot the loose flap of the thong strap just looked weird and made my foot look kind of wide and naked, it's difficult to describe but they made my foot look ugly. I didn't even get to walking around in them to test the toe piece because I was definitely not going to wear these all summer. The Mayari look great on my foot and with all my clothes, jeans skirts shorts, doesn't matter the straps look and feel great! Glad I didn't settle for these.

WHY WHY cant Birkenstock make the thing between the toes, in the Gizeh, a soft leather...not that darn hard plastic. I had to take mine back because of that. This is funny, when I complained direct to Birkenstock there suggestion was I use an emory board and file down the plastic OR use mole shin on my toes. REALLY? CAN you believe it? Why not just make them with a soft something...especially at the price they want for them.

I love how they feel, how they look. At the beginning I felt that they were a little hard to break but after few times of few minutes of use I just love them!

My new go-to sandal! My ONLY issue with the fit was that my toes touched the edge of the sandals when I walked, but the cork is very forgiving so part of my "breaking in" phase was pushing down on the edge of the shoes by my toes and we are good to go. Birks always need a period of time to get broken in perfectly, so I was not bothered by this at all.

I've loved my past Birk's but I'm disappointed that they've replaced the leather piece between the toes with hard plastic that hurts and is uncomfortable. I keep hoping I'll adjust and develop calluses, but so far that hasn't happened.

I sustained a 2nd degree burn to my left foot a few weeks ago and not one pair of shoes in my closet were comfortable. I saw someone wearing this style and realized I needed them in my life! Purchasing these shoes was the best decision I've made in a long time. I wore Birkenstocks while in college in the 80s and over the years "we lost touch." I'm so glad to be re-acquainted, I LOVE these shoes! I also own the Gizeh in black patent. The new styles are fierce, I'll be ordering another pair very soon! By the way, my burn is almost completely healed. Cheers to Birkenstock!!!

Love these Birks. I have two pairs now and love them both (Silver and Gold). They're a little stiff at first but mold right to your feet pretty quickly.

I don't get the fanaticism. Others have complained that the toe piece is hard and I agree but here is the weird thing, I wore these around the house and they were fine. I wanted to make sure I wanted to keep them before wearing outside because this isn't another retailer, and I cannot return after wearing. They felt better and better so I ventured out and that toe piece really bothers me. It pushed on the inside of my second toe and is uncomfortable. I kept wearing them thinking this would get better, but so far it hasn't. Even a very slow walk with my elderly dog has me begging to rip them off. The heel and arch feel great to me, it is just the toe piece Maybe my foot is not right for this brand but, sigh... if Birkenstock don't work for me then I guess I am hopeless. My conclusion is these are great to stand it but not great to walk in.

These are incredibly comfortable shoes. I was a little nervous ordering the European sizes but if you follow the sizing chart you can't go wrong. The color is very flattering and goes with most outfits. They are a little pricey, but worth it!

Finally -- Birks that fit my size 5 foot! This is a great looking shoe, and so comfortable. I've tried numerous Birk styles, but all ran large. I normally wear a medium, but the Gizeh Birko-Flor 35 Narrow does the trick. I will order these in other colors.

I debated about the patent or flat black in the Gizeh. I went with the patent and am so glad. You can dress it up or down. Birkenstock takes some getting use to but I can walk all day with these and other Birks and have no foot pain at the end of the day. Thong part on these take a few wears to soften.

A great new addition to my Birkenstock summer rotation. Awesome comfort and support with a little different style. I wish the toe strip wasn't plastic - a little uncomfortable at first, but already getting used to it after one wearing. Love the Toffee color - nice, rich brown with a tint of gold. Birkenstock & Zappos - an unbeatable pair!

Not for everyone. I've always heard how great Birkenstocks were this style is actually cute so I decided to try them. At the mall store I was fit in a birkenstock an entire size bigger than my normal size, it looked fine on my toes but the sole felt weird because the supports weren't supporting in the right places (since it was to big). I ordered my normal size from zappos the sole fit much better and I understand the praise for the supportive nature of the shoe. However, the toe area was just a tad to small (my 2nd and 3rd toes touched the raised edge). Upon further research on the birkenstock website they say their shoes don't fit people whose big toe is not their longest toe (my 2nd toe is slightly longer than my big toe and my 3rd toe is the same length as my big toe). They recommend that Birkenstock employee fit your shoe by hammering out the ridge if you have toes longer than your big toe. Hammering the shoe sounds like it would make the shoe look funny and decrease the durability so I returned them. I was worried about the hard plastic thong but I didn't feel it at all in the sole that fit me.

I love these! Some people complained of the plastic toe piece, but if you like to wear flip flops you'll love these. If you are a flip flop hater, you'll probably hate these too. These have been comfortable since day 1. I like that I can wear these to brunch or for running errands, they are just a half step dressier than other options.

Great shoes! I have several pair and wear them all summer. They are comfortable, but not for walking miles and miles. I have wide feet and these are wide enough. Toe divider is padded for extra comfort.
