I always forget that Birkenstocks day a few days to wear in, but once I wore them for a few days, I have basically not taken these shoes off.

I love these shoes! As with any Birks it takes a few wears before they form to your feet but I can wear them for hours! I have a hard time with sandals for lack of arch support but no issues with these. They look really nice for Birks and I'm confident that they'll last a long time.

I didn't buy my Gizeh's from Zappos but I would have and will likely order more colors from them. I'm writing this review in regards to sizing and fit for those that have never owned a pair of Birkenstocks. I have owned Birks before among other euro sized shoes and am familiar with how they usually fit, however on the advice of some reviews here I went down a size from my usual (38 to 37) and have gotten a perfect fit. I tried on both sizes in a store and the fit seemed close with both, but the 38 had just a little too much room while the 37 seemed made for me. I have them in licorice and love them. The fit is comfortable (the toe thong takes a little getting used to) and the sandals are stylish and available in many colors. I will be adding to my collection in the future and will be ordering from Zappos for certain!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock sandals but it won't be my last. I usually wear Danskos but was looking for a bit of variety. I have arthritis in my feet, so support is crucial. These sandals feel great! The arch did take about 1 day to get used to but it was no big deal. Stylish and my feet feel good; can't ask for anything more! I wear a size 40 in Danskos but the 39 fit great in Birkenstock.

They were great right out of the box. True to size, I literally wear them most all the day and everyday. I have a dressier pair of patent leather and another pair in a brownish color.

Love these! I have plantar fasciitis and it is true that these are the best. I did not think I could comfortably wear a flip flop again but these have such great arch support. Plus they are very cute and look great with any casual outfit.

I love Birkies, I have 5 pairs. They suit my big strong boney foot and have carried me countless miles walking all over LA and Australia. I think they look cool too but that's just me. I'm buying another pair very soon. One's with a funky pattern on the straps.

Best sandal ever! I wore these all over New York city, walking all day long and my feet felt wonderful! Great arch and metatarsal support!! My foot is narrow and this shoe is designed so width can be adjusted. I highly recommend this shoe!

Love these sandals! They are cute, comfortable, and practical. They do run large. I am a true 5.5, usually wear a 36 in European sizes and the 35 fit me perfectly. Although this is a traditional Birkenstock footbed, it runs larger than some of their other sandals. I recommend ordering a size smaller than usual. Thank you Zappos for having the smaller size and for your awesome customer service/delivery!

Great shoe, perfect fit. This is my 2nd pair of this type of sandals. I like my first pair so well that it got a lot of wearing. This pair is for dress-up.

Love these sandals! Very comfortable and stylish...especially for a Birkenstock. As always, Zappos customer service is awesome! I bought these in the golden brown and am exchanging them for the black. The golden brown is pretty, but too similar to other sandals I have!

I love these shoes! They were definitely expensive but they were the best investment I could make. I am a hairdresser with a high arch and I feel that my feet are perfectly cushioned for my long days. I highly recommend them to anyone!

I love these. They fit like a glove with great arch support. I also really like the style. They are casual and dressy. The toe is a bit stiff, but all new flips feel like that with me. I know once I break them in, I will be wearing them as much as I can. They feel sturdy, too, like I can take simple hikes in them.

Growing up in the 1970's, I swore I would never be caught dead in a pair of hippie Birkenstocks. However, after spending most of my formative years wearing high heels non stop, I care a lot more for comfort. I like these sandals because the white patent leather makes any outfit look kind of funky and modern. The footbed feels weird at first, but once you wear them, it molds to your feet and the soles are so lightweight, nothing clunky about them. So there, I take it back what I said about never wearing Birkenstocks!

Birkenstocks generally run large. I wear a 6.5, occasionally a 6, and needed a 36 in these. The white upper is great because it wipes clean when it gets marked! I have high arches and these shoes provide amazing support. Won't go back to the usual unsupportive flat sandals anytime soon.

This is a great sandal if you get the sizing figured out. I'm not sure why the Gizeh sandal doesn't follow the usual European conversion. I have only had one other pair of Birks, which I purchased at a shoe store almost 20 years ago. I am a solid size 8, and the clerk put me in a 39 narrow. 39 narrow in Gizeh is too big, and 38 is almost perfect. Maybe they will be when they finish breaking in. FYI, the onyx is a beautiful, surprising neutral color, with a definite blue tinge. I have no problems at all with the thong and the birki-flo upper is soft and comfy, as is the suede footbed. I feel that this is the most flattering style in a brand that is eh-hem, not really known for that! My last pair are Milano's - not feminine at all, but the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn.

These sandals are amazing! I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've worn other sandals since purchasing them last month. They are so comfortable I don't want to put anything else on. I ordered the size 38 (7-7.5). In a running shoe I am an 8.5 and in a sandal I'm usually a size 8...so these run a little big. I was worried about the plastic piece in the thong area, but once the sandals molded to my feet, it hasn't been a problem. I am a teacher, and I can see these being very comfortable to have on during the school day, I can't believe how comfortable they are!

Love them! They were pretty comfortable when I bought them, more so now after I've worn them several times. I wear a 10, and the 40 fits perfectly. Can't beat Zappos overnight shipping either.

Love these shoes! Seriously so comfortable. They do run large.I had to go down a whole size. but once they fit correctly they easily became my most favorite sandal of the summer.

Love these! I normally wear a 39 (8.5 - 9) but the 38 fit me perfectly. The silver is a nice neutral color with a little bling.

LOVE these. These are my first pair of Birkenstocks. It took a few days to get used to them, but now that they're worn in a bit I love them. So comfortable and cute. The metallic color can be dressed up or down. Great investment.

Love, love, love these shoes! My feet feel so good in them. I was having a lot of trouble wearing flat sandals, my ankles were killing me from the lack of support. Now that I have broken these Birks in after about a month or so of frequent wear, my feet are super happy! I got the silver because I wanted them to be as feminine as possible. I'm thinking in going to throw out all my flat sandals and get these in gold too. There was no gold offered in the Birkoflor when I ordered mine, I'm happy to see the addition of that color!! I wear an 8 usually so I ordered the 39 first and it was way too big I ended up selling them to my co-worker who they fit perfectly, she's an 8.5. I then ordered the 38 and they are perfect for me!

Great sandals! I absolutely love the style...more dressed up than a flip flop but still super comfy. Normally I'm a size 39 but these ran a little big so I had to size down. The 38 fits perfectly! You will not be disappointed with these!

I love these shoes! I have worn them almost every day since they arrived. They didn't take as long to break in as some reviews said - they felt awkward just for a couple days. I have gotten so many compliments on them! They don't feel like a regular flip flop- they don't fall of your foot. They are a quality made shoe that I hope to use for many summers to come!
