This is the most comfortable sandal I have ever worn! I am flat footed and have been experiencing foot problems for the past few years (plantar fasciitis, bunions, pronation, etc.) and was told my by podiatrist not to wear unsupportive sandals without an arch. It's not easy to find supportive, corrective shoes that are stylish, and wasn't sure I was a Birkenstock girl, but discovered these sandals and am thrilled at how I can wear them comfortably all day long! I also get lots of compliments on them. I now own two pair and just wish Birkenstock will start making stylish shoes since I'm now a big fan!

I needed to make a change to a something that had some support but also had a softer sole and the Birkenstock was the perfect match. I own multiple pairs in different colors and these silver ones were my latest purchase and they are my favorite! I wear them with my capris but they also look wonderful with my summer skirts and dresses.

These sandals are my first pair of Birkenstocks. I didn't find them to be very comfortable at first, but now that I've had a chance to break them in, I really like them. I also like the black patent leather, which works with jeans, shorts, skirts.

I have been diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma and have been given the sad news that the shoes I really like are "out" for now. So, I've been playing shoe bingo in my search for "comfort shoes." I really do like this style and ordered both the black patent & silver because they both go with my wardrobe; but I'm returning them for the Mayari which I don't like as well style-wise. The arch in the Gizeh seems a bit high for me. The Mayari seems slightly lower and fits my foot better. But if you can wear these, they are a great looking comfort shoe. They seem a little narrow too and I have a narrow foot.

Love these sandals. They are so comfortable. This is my favorite brand/style for comfort sandals. I've been buying them for 20+ years. Zappos' pricing is a bonus. Less expensive than most stores and I don't have to leave the house to shop.

LOVE this shoe! When they first came in, the leather felt a little stiff but as I wore them in true Birkenstock fashion, they molded to my feet and I cant seem to stop wearing them! Would like to purchase another pair in a different color for next summer as I am sure this will be my new summer staple shoe. Get a pair, you wont regret it!

I love these sandals. They've got the classic Birk footbed. I have ridiculously flat feet, so this is necessary. As a runner I've noticed less injuries since switching to these in daily life. The gold color might not be for everyone (my roommate gave me the "they're nice, but not for me" insult-compliment), but I've found they go with everything, and even make some things look a little nicer because of them. If you're looking for sandals that are casual-dressy (not formal though, for sure) these are a good fit. Birks always tend to run a little big, and my last pair slipped around on my feet a lot, so I got these in a size smaller (10) and they're perfect. One last note: it's going to take some time for them to break your feet in (let's be honest, that's what's happening with all those blisters), but they are the best sandals I've ever spent this much on.

Love these shoes! I had a pair of well loved Gizeh shoes that I have pretty much worn out. This gold-brown color is versatile and cool. These shoes take some breaking in but I love them!

As always with Zappos, they had exactly the color and size I was looking for and although noonegets Birkenstock to lower their prices, the shoes arrived so quickly (maybe 2 days) and they're perfect. Great comfortable sandals that dress up or work well with jeans. Zappos is #1 for online shopping.

When I first got these shoes I wasn't too happy with how they fit and thought about returning them. However, after about a week they were feeling great! I did have to get a size smaller than normal though. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. And as always, Zappos is the best!

Ordered these Birks in a 38, too big for my size seven feet! Sent back and got a pair in size 37, fit nicely! Love them! Had bunion surgery in June, still having some discomfort so bought these Birks and my feet hurt less and they give great support! Color nice too! Matches all my dresses and pants!! Recommend!

Size 37 does not equal a 6-6.5. Size 36 equals a 6 (maybe a 5.5-6). I ordered the 37 knowing this but trusted the "size chart." Returning for the 36! I wear a 6 and the 37 was way too big.

I love these sandals. Birkenstocks are always comfortable, of course! The silver metallic give these a modern edge and look great with white jeans!

My first Birkenstock! I love the style and comfort of that shoe. Usually I wear a EUR 37, but had to order a EUR 36 for the right fit, so one size smaller. The color is great too.

I'm so glad that Birkenstock made a come back! I wear these every day. They go with everything. Makes everything boho chic. These help with my bunions. I couldn't find the right shoes for them but I'm glad I came these a try.

I am truly the last person on the planet who ever thought they'd own a pair of Birkenstocks! But, I had had hip surgery in the beginning of July and couldn't bend to tie, buckle, or lace shoes. I needed something I could slip on, yet would provide sufficient support and comfort - but did not want to sacrifice style and that all important cute summer shoe factor! After seeing how pretty and stylish these looked on a cousin - who has been swearing by her Gizehs for the last few years, I thought I might have to re-think my stance on Birkenstocks. After reading the millionth rave review here on Zappos, I was convinced. I opted for the metallic silver because it's a fun summer look that is still neutral enough to go with my entire seasonal wardrobe - from cut off denim shorts to yoga wear to flirty sun dresses. I have pretty much lived in them since the day they arrived which, as always with Zappos, is within a business day or two. As for the sizing, it seemed that a lot of people recommended either going up or down a size. I am a very consistent 7.5 and ordered the 38. They fit like a glove! Nor did I need much time to break them in. They were comfortable from the start, even before conforming to my foot. I recently got back from a 10 day beach vacation and wore these the entire time. Usually I might take a couple of different sandals to coordinate with various outfits but these silver Gizehs were all I needed! They totally provide the support and comfort I needed without sacrificing any of the style - I find these cute, girly, and fashionable….and now may need to think about adding other colors for next year! Much to my chagrin, I am officially a fan of Birkenstocks (was always a fan of Zappos)!

Zappos is great! I ordered my shoes on a Sunday with free delivery and they arrived that Tuesday! Now that's what I call fast turn around!

These are very comfortable! I love the color too. Make sure you don't order the wrong ones: Birkenstock Gizeh by Papillio are so very UNCOMFORTABLE and even though they look almost identical, i couldn't even wear them for one minute! The true Birkenstocks, these ones, are comfortable and the color makes them almost fancy.

Love these sandals. Comfortable and versatile enough to dress up or down; jeans vs a maxi dress. Especially functional for traveling when trying to pack light.

Love these shoes, great comfort with the arch support, stylish...they are the shoe in Italy this summer! I'm a size 9 or 39 (EU) and the 39 fits perfectly.

Love these shoes! More stylish than regular Birks, but just as comfortable. They fit pretty much the same as the more traditional styles of Birkenstocks, since the footbed is the same. The top strap adjustment helps; both my daughter and I wear the same size (37 regular, size 7 other shoes), but she has a higher instep, so keeps the strap on the Gizeh much looser than I do. Same size fits us both perfectly, though.

Most comfy shoes ever! I was hesitant to get Birkenstocks but now that I have them, there is no looking back! I would just be careful on the size you order. The way the shoe is molded to your foot doesn't allow much wiggle room if it's too big or too small. I had to return a size that was too big before I ended up with ones that were the perfect fit.

Love! I have always wanted to try out Birkenstocks but knew I'd never actually wear them because they were a little too 'crunchy' for my aesthetic sense. When I saw this style I knew it was time to finally give them a try. I wanted black and my first impulse was to buy the plain "black" version, but then I saw the "licorice" and ordered them. The licorice style dresses them up just a little - it's a nice pebbled grain with just a hint of sheen verses the flat and more casual aesthetic of the plain black. I love them so much I ordered the "silver" and am pretty sure I won't be wearing much of anything besides these two pairs unless I really need to dress up or am running/working out - in which case I will only wear Salomon. (I have metatarsalgia and have had to become extremely picky about shoes.) As for sizing, I'd read from other reviews to size down and I was concerned about this. I hate toes hanging off the end of sandals - ewwww! I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 and I ordered these in a 39 (8 / 8.5) with confidence knowing that Zappos has free returns so I could get a size 40 if necessary. The 39's are perfect. And, as always, I love you Zappos!

Love this sandals. I am a size 8 1/2 and the size 39 M was perfect for me. They are hard at the beginning but after a week or so they are really very comfortable and very supportive. I will get some more in the future and Zappos has the best service and very reliable. Love your company! Thanks Zappos!
