First of all I fell in love with these shoes when they arrived, so pretty. I haven't had Birkenstocks in years, they have certainly changed. I read all the reviews and suggestions. I ordered a size down as recommended and when they arrived and I put them on the rubber toe thing hurt, again I read that you needed to wear them to break them in...well I wanted to order more but between my toes were killing me, so I decided to order these in my normal size instead of smaller. They came today and I am in love. What a difference to have shoes that fit correctly, they are so super comfortable, I am just sorry that I have a wasted pair of shoes I can't wear because they are to small, but I also found out that the horrible heel pain that I have been living with for years does not exist when I wear these shoes, that is huge, I am so happy!

Great sandal for women that have wide and flat feet. I wish I could wear any shoe but since I have wide feet I am very limited on the brands I am able to buy. This is my first pair of Birkenstock and it will not be my last. I wear a 9.5 size and bought the 9 and they fit well. The 10 were way too large.

My antique lace / off white Gizehs arrived today and they are super cute. I am a solid size 8, but have a very boxy, wide foot so sometimes order 8.5 in some brands to accommodate. I ordered a 39 in these and at first look, they were huge-seeming. I put them on and they seemed too big and pretty uncomfortable but I assumed I would have a break in period. Then I buckled the strap in a pretty snug way and immediately they felt a little less uncomfortable. I'm hopeful they will break in and be my favorite sandals. I'm a flip flop gal so didn't think the thong would be a big deal comfort-wise but that's where the discomfort is for now. We shall see. The color is amazing. It has a sheen to it and is a perfect neutral. Looks great with blue, black, even white jeans and dresses. I debated between these and the golden brown - so happy with this choice. I'm also pretty fair skinned and rarely have a nice tan but these are flattering on my skin tone. They seem a little chic-er than the browns, in my opinion.

I am so excited for these sandals. It is so hard to find a CASUAL black sandal that isn't a flip-flop. Ordered an 8/8.5. I am a solid size 9 in every other shoe. Order down. You'll be glad you did.

My first pair of Birks. Love the silver metallic. I ordered the narrow size as the regular are too wide even though my foot is wide, narrow fit is just right. I look forward to wearing these for a long time.

Love these sandals. They fit just as you would expect a pair of Birkenstocks to fit...nothing new here. Very minimalistic, but great support for a sandal. Not a lot going on, which makes these sandals easy to dress up or dress down. I'm on my 3rd pair. Turns out my German Shepherd loves them too, particularly the toe thong. This time they don't touch the floor unless they're on my feet!

Most comfortable shoes ever - very cute too!! I read all the reviews about buying a size down and decided to buy both a 39 and a 38 to see which fit the best. I wear an 8.5 in a regular shoe and all my other Birk's are a 39. I found this shoe to be true to size and the 39 did fit the best. In my opinion this shoe does need to be bought in a size smaller.

At first I did have some discomfort with the leather between the toes, but that was just a matter of not wearing any type of sandal for the winter months. I loved the way they look and after a couple of days of wearing them for 8 hours or longer they are very comfortable.

My feet have never been happier! I get bouts of plantar fasciitis and after my really cute sandals triggered it this last time I broke down and bought some Birkenstocks. These sandals are soooo comfortable. My feet felt amazing right when I stepped into them. And I was symptom free and able to do yoga without taping my foot which I had to do all last year! I wish I had bought these a long time ago. These definitely run large as I normally wear an American size 6 but had to order a size 35. The wide straps are super comfortable. The toe part feels like any flip flop but I grew up in Florida so my feet are very much used to something between my toes. I can see how the hard plastic would be uncomfortable for a person not used to that.

Just purchased my third pair of Birkenstock Gizeh Birko-flor because I like them so much. I wear them all summer and although they are very sturdy, after a couple of years they get a little weary. They are super comfy for my poor, sad feet which have seen many miles.

I am a 6.5 and purchased 37 regular. My toes aren't long so sizing up wasn't an issue. Footbed fit perfectly. 38 was too long for me.

Too large - I always get a size 39 in euro sizes; but these are way too long. I ordered 2 styles and they both are too large.

Birkenstock has the most durable, comfortable sandals on the market. I love that Birkenstock comes in narrow sizes! There is a short "breaking in" time, but it's not uncomfortable like other sandals I've purchased. Love this brand & will certainly buy other styles.

I couldn't be happier with this sandal. My feet hurt terribly after my pregnancy due to plantar fasciitis, I wasn't able to wear any sandal with a flat sole. I wore them all summer and into fall without any foot issues. I'm a size 8 and ordered a size 8 and it was a a perfect fit with a bit of room at the top like they mention these sandals should have. Overall I'm much satisfied and will most definitely order a pair of Birks in the future.

I have worn these shoes extensively for the past four summers. Three of those summers were spent wearing them in intense heat and humidity of Japanese summers. They are stylish in the "Jesus sandle" fashion, easy to slip on, and very comfortable and roomy. I noticed consequently that lots of Japanese people and tourists also wear these shoes. After four summers of wearing them extensively, I'm looking for a new pair for sake of variety. But it I continued to put another coat of cork sealant on them, they would do just fine another summer. I wear a 7.5 - 8 and the 38 fits me really well.

I love these shoes! I am so happy I bought them. I saw them in a magazine and became obsessed, then bought them on Zappos because of good price and free shipping both ways (in case they did not fit). You will not regret getting these, the silver metallic goes with everything and I rarely even wear any other shoes anymore. I do live in San Diego, so it is perma-flip-flop here usually. These Birks are cute enough to dress up (a bit) or just wear casually. I wear them with shorts, skirts, pants, jeans, dresses, and to yoga class! I am usually a size 7½ or 8 and I got the 38N and they fit perfectly. I have never bought a narrow fit shoe before, but I read a few reviews and found that a Birk narrow usually fits unless you have wide feet. I will say that I did not notice any particular snugness from them being narrow so I recommend you get them unless you have wide flat feet. Also, I have a very high arch, which sometimes means a strap that goes over or across the top of my foot doesn't fit or is uncomfortable. I had to adjust the strap to the loosest notch, and they fit beautifully with no pressure or discomfort. They are super comfortable, I literally love wearing these every dang day!

It's funny to wear a new pair of Birks since my Florida Birks are 20 years old! The old pair finally wore out & I replaced them with this newer, prettier version. I love the look, and these feel great! The toe thong doesn't bother me at all. I actually really like it. It feels like the sandal is more secure on my foot than the Floridas were.

These are a little more bluish silver than I had hoped, but they still look great with most things. I usually wear orthotics for alignment issues, but these sandals seem to do the same thing. I would definitely recommend them. Can't wait until summer so I can get them out again.

I just got these in the mail and they fit perfectly! I still need to break them in but the support on my feet already feels great. I listened to the reviews and got a smaller size. I am usually an 8-8 1/2 but I got a 38 in these sandals and I am glad I did.

Color is beautiful will go with anything. Instantly comfortable. No break in period. If you thought you would never like birkis, try these. They are fashionable and yet don't give you the feeling of wearing hippie shoes.

I was recently diagnosed with planter fascistic and need extra arch support. These were wonderful, very comfortable. I was able to walk all day while on vacation with no trouble.

This is my 2nd pair of Birks and 1st thong style. At first, I wasn't sure about the thong piece between the toes. It seemed like hard rubber but after wearing them it is not an issue. I love them just as much as my 1st pair.

I have owned a pair of teal leather Birkenstock Gizehs for about 3 years now, and they are hands down my favorite shoe of all time. I live in Minnesota so can only wear them about half the year, but when I can, my feet are in paradise. I have flat feet & plantar fasciitis, but these shoes really do feel more comfortable than walking barefoot. (It's the Birkenstock marketing motto and I didn't believe it until I experienced it.) Anyway, the old Gizehs started falling apart, and I figured I'd try a slightly different style. The Licorice Birko-Flor ones are beautiful! So stylish, look just as good as the leather in a different way. Now I can wear them to work or around town again without feeling shabby (I wore the old ones probably a little longer than was classy). Can't wait for spring! When I first got Birks, I went to a pricey shoestore and had my feet measured, and then I bought the pair on Ebay. (I'm cheap! Although splurged on the 2nd pair.) Definitely worth it to get your size measured in person. I am a 6.5-7 in US size but a 36 Birk, which many sites say is around a size 5. Not true!

It's a Birks! It works, it fits, no surprises I love them. Happy to find I can purchase these shoes online - was worried about fit. Now I can buy all the colors! & Zappos - great service.

I was hesitant to order these. I am a true "narrow" (8 1/2) and this style/color (white patent) was not available in the narrow width. I ordered a size 39 and with the adjustment on the buckle, they fit perfectly. I am so happy to have found this style/color and that it actually fits! I will definite not hesitate to order colors in this same style. Thanks Zappos for the quick delivery, too!
