These shoes will definitely be my go-to shoe for the summer. They are very comfortable and I can go on long walks in them without my feet hurting (I have arch problems). These shoes require some breaking in - I wore them around the house for about a week before wearing them out and they felt great after that. These shoes do run big though. I ordered a size 39 originally (size 8 - 8.5 equivalent) and they were too big. I exchanged them for a size 38 and these fit perfectly. (I am a solid size 8 in all shoes so I felt that these run big.)

I love my new Birkenstock Gizeh sandals! I never liked the look of Birks, but with these new styles decided to give them a go, and I am sold. The fit takes some getting used to. The first few times I had them on I felt like my feet were being pressed in odd places, but now they feel like a snuggly massage. I wear a 37 in Dansko and other shoes, and a 6.5 - 7 in US shoes, so I tried the 37 narrow in these and they are just right. My bunions are just at the edge of the shoe / a little bit over on one side, but the rest of my foot is quite narrow, so I'm glad I went with narrows. I bought them in silver birko-flor, which is subtle and cool & looks great with denim, black, and really all colors. I cannot recommend them enough!

I can't tell you how much I wanted to keep these Birks. I loved them. So cute and if I just stood in them or walked very slowly they were great but once I tried really walking, that plastic thing just hurt my toes so bad! Would love to know if that pain would eventually go away but I figured Zappos wouldn't accept a return after the footbed conformed to my feet if the pain didn't go away. Very sad to return. They fit great...I wear a size 9 and got the 40 narrow.

I got these sandals after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed! After a couple of days breaking them in, they felt great. Just wore them everywhere on a California beach vacation. Very comfortable, great quality. I got the licorice color which goes with everything.

Love these sandals! It takes a little time to break them in, and the toe piece can feel hard initially, but it doesn't really bother me too much and I notice it less every time I wear them. They run big, so size down. I normally wear a 5 or 5.5, so I initially tried the 36, but they were too big. The size 35 fits great.

Not just 5 stars but 10! This was the second time that I have bought these only because I wore them everywhere (traveling in Europe, etc.) for three years and the heel was a bit worn and I have another big trip coming up. I now have them in this Antique white and in black patent. You must try them. If they are not immediately comfortable exchange them for another pair of the same. I had one pair where the thong was slightly off. I also love that they now come with a narrow heel. Such a joy. Buy them and enjoy. These are not the Birkenstocks of the 60's! Be sure to buy one size smaller than you wear. That is just how they are made and the shoe chart shoes that. I wear a 7N, and bought 37N.

I don't get the rave reviews on this sandal. The bottom is so hard and so uncomfortable and the thong between your toes is hard plastic and not leather. I suppose I expected more. Back they go!

I love Birkenstocks. I've been wearing them forever, I have one pair that are 17 years old this year. Last year I got a pair of Gizeh's, after thinking about it for some time. I got the Birko-flor, in Stone. I love the color, but I'm not sure that the fabric will make it as long as my leather ones. The underside (which initially was felt-like) is now pilling and fuzzy around the edges. When I ordered, I thought that Birko-flor was a proprietary leather treatment - I only recently learned Birko-flor is all synthetic. I won't buy Birko-flor again.

I love these. They get more comfortable each time I wear them. Much more secure than my regular flip flops.

Not bad, cute style. People with flat feet/no arch may find their not as comfortable.

Love them. These are my 1st pair of Birkenstocks. They were recommended by my podiatrist. He and many reviews I read say they take a bit of wearing to break in, but they are feeling good now. I'm used to flip flops, so the toe piece isn't too bad, but it is quite stiff, as others have said, but getting used to that too. Store clerk was helpful, as I was initially looking at a size smaller and my foot would not have been correctly in the footbed if I'd bought them. Be sure to try a pair on, prior to buying on-line, if you can.I've already put a pair of Arizonas on my "wish list" for next Christmas. :-)

After reading the great reviews for this shoe, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, I found them to be totally uncomfortable. I am baffled that anyone finds these comfortable. The sole is like a stiff board and the plastic thong hurts between the toes. I wear flip flops regularly, so I am used to wearing that style shoe. They are a cute shoe, and maybe would break in over time but I'm going on vacation and want something comfortable out of the box. As for sizing--I wear a 6.5-7 and the 37 was probably a size too large.

I've been wearing these for about a week--so far, so good. I didn't realize that "Birko-Flor" meant vegan leather until they arrived. It is stiffer than leather, but will not stretch out or fade. Very comfy.

These shoes are super comfortable and very cute. You need a little break-in time but I just wore them around the house and after a couple of hours, they felt great.

These are my very first pair of Birkenstocks. I have had them about 3 years and they are in perfect working order. I have wide feet and they feet comfortably with no rubbing. I do need to look into having then recorked but otherwise I can and will still wear them until then. The best shoes in the world, in my opinion.

Very comfortable, molds to your foot perfectly. Size chart is off. I am a solid size 6, so according to the chart, I would order 37 (size 6-6.5). It was a whole size too big. I exchanged it for a 36 (size 5-5.5).

I ordered the "Antique Lace" color, which looked pale pink online. It is really more of a pearl color, which I actually like better.

These shoes are so wonderful. They are stylish -- until I had them on, I didn't appreciate how great-looking they are, but this is really a versatile, good-looking style. They can be dressed up or down, and they look terrific with shorts, dresses and jeans. The "Birko-Flor" is outstanding -- there is literally no sign of wear there after more than a year of constant use. The cork sole is showing some wear at the sides, but they're still in great shape. I have worn these shoes almost every day for more than a year, and we live close to the beach, so I'm hard on my shoes. I recommend these shoes to anyone. Now a special note for those with problem feet: If you haven't tried Birkenstocks, it's worth some consideration. After my second child was born, my feet suddenly sprouted awful bunions. (This runs in my family, but they came early and quickly for me!) It was debilitating, and I now need to wear prescription orthotics all the time. While I was very grateful for the recovery provided by the orthotics, I live in Florida and have an active lifestyle, and settling into orthotic footwear as my "new normal" was frustrating. We spend a lot of time at the beach and in the water, plus it's really very warm here during the summer. Sandals that accommodate thick orthotics well are expensive (more than twice as much as Birkenstocks), and even the best-made of them aren't manufactured to last long with salt and sand. Birkenstocks, incredibly, provide the same benefits for my feet as the expensive prescription orthotics, plus they are cool, light, have reasonably good traction on wet surfaces, and stand up pretty well to everything I used to do in the sandals I wore in my pre-bunion days. And they look fantastic. They are just as cool as any shoes out there, but when you compare them to orthotic footwear -- night and day. Now I save my orthotics for running and winter shoes, and wear Birkenstocks the rest of the year, with my doctor's approval. I am so very thankful. Also: You just can't beat shopping with Zappos. I bought these because I need extra foot support. I find them very supportive but the foot bed is hard. I am sure that is how it is supposed to be, and will get used to this. I think they are otherwise comfortable and if you are used to a flip flop with the toe strap, these are no different and that wasn't a bother to me. Look forward to wearing these.
