I got blisters/cuts on both of my feet where the strap touches the front on the foot when wearing these on a trip where we walked several blocks each day. I don't remember that ever happening to me before.

Fit well. Material was good. But the front part of the shoe dug into the part between my first 2 toes and made it uncomfortable even after 4 days of wearing so I returned it

I purchased this item for my daughter who wears a size 4-5 and always has a hard time finding shoes. She tells me that she is absolutely delighted with them so I am thrilled. Thank you Zappos and Birkenstock!!

It took two different models, the Gizeh and the Mayari, two different sizes and three pairs of Birkenstock’s shoes to find the right fit. Am a solid 6.5 M USA which according to the chart it’s 37 N EU, well that turned out to be to big, the toe piece hurt a lot the minute I tried them on, i thought it was the model so I ordered the Mayari again in 37, tried them on and there were huge, plus the straps around the big toes were a little uncomfortable. Thankfully the Mayari came in what it seemed the original box and on it was a shoe drawing were one can place the foot and measure it, according to it I was actually a 36N so I ordered the Gizeh again but this time 36N which was perfect on the length and it seemed to be ok on the width, at lest at first. I tried them at different times of the day and as the hours went by and the feet were getting tired and a little swollen I noticed the the edges of my feet didn’t stay inside the shoe and that hurt, no good. So again, I ordered another pair same model but this time in regular( the way Birkenstock calls it or wide the way Zappos calls it) and Bingo!! finally they fit they they should, I walked on them all day, everything felt ok, no pain and my feet stayed inside the edge of the shoe. It is true it take a little to get used to the feel of the shoe specially if one have never worn orthopedic shoes before. Am just glad that Zappos makes it very easy to send and return its merchandise, because they sent me four packages and I sent them three on a lees than a week span wheew my UPS guy was probably thinking “ what’s going on with this lady!” anyway at the end I think they’re going to end up being one of my favorite sandals.

They fit great - but it took a minute to adjust to the thong and get my feet in the right place. Once that's done they are super comfortable and I can walk for hours in them without my feet aching. Great purchase and love the color!

Overall great but not the most comfortable. Pretty silver.

Sizing is very difficult on these. I have a size 8.5N and ordered a 38N. They fit but I was worried about my toes hitting the top edge so I tried the 39N. They were so wide I couldn't keep them on my feet! They are also very hard. I hope they soften over time as I've decided to keep the 38N.

I was never a fan of Birkenstock’s just because of the clumsy look of their shoes and sandals. Have to admit I only ordered these because it was offered in medium width - I have narrow feet. I was pleasantly surprised how good these look - very true to size and width. Only thing is I have to get used to the ridges under my toes - reason for 3 stars on comfort. Overall happy with my purchase :)

Wanted these to work because they look so cute-but although I’m used to wearing flip flops, the toe strap was painful even just in the trying-on phase. I don’t have the patience to break in something that already hurts so they’re going back. If you can tolerate the toe strap, I’m sure these would be very comfortable.

I can no longer wear flip flops so I have been binging on Birk's. I had my first pair MANY years ago and they are like butter. In hopes of finding the same comfort with a boost in style, I bought a pair of Gizeh's. Compared to my other Birk's they are a bit stiff. Considering they are new, I have been wearing them around the house with hopes of them softening up, so far it's been a week and they are slowly getting better. I feel that they will give in time. I recently bought other Arizona styles and they are breaking in nicely. Overall, the fit is good, I am a 7-7.5 slightly on the narrow side and the 38 regular fits great. They are snug in the toe (in a good way) so they won't fly off my feet. The toe strap is plastic and harder than I would like but not uncomfortable. I purchased the black licorice color and they are slightly shiny but not as formal as patent leather. Overall I love these as much as my other Birkenstock's and would recommend for a comfort sandal.

I wear a pretty standard size 5.5, but Birkenstocks are a full size and a half larger on my feet than most other shoes. I am an adult and only fit into children's size shoes. A size 34 fits perfectly, but unfortunately the children's size shoes not only are not the same excellent quality of the adult sizes, but additionally don't come in a real leather. The size 35 purports to be a size 4- 4.5, but my feet are still swimming in this size. Returning.

I love these sandals but the cork soles deteriorate in the same spot and I end up replacing them yearly. I’m not that rich!

My first pair of Birkenstocks, and I couldn't be happier. They were comfortable right out of the box, and the plastic toe thong doesn't bother me at all. The footbed is hard, but with the arch support, they're very comfortable. I'm between a 10 and 11 and found that with the 10, my toes jammed into the lip around the sole. I sized up to the 11, which are a tad too big, but I adjusted the straps, and they're fine. So comfortable that I look forward to putting them on!

These were a replacement for the same sandals but about five years old and heavily worn. Fit the same: same great arch support, comfort, and quality. The onyx, by the way, is either steel grey or blue depending on the light.

I have several different colors and wear them all summer. Also, I get a lot of comments from strangers on these sandals, which kind of surprises me, since I've been wearing them for years.

I wanted to like these. Love the Gizeh style and I know these are the right size for me. It’s as though they stamped the leather the same size as a big size sandal. However, there was a weird buckle to the leather ( see picture). May I’ll try some next year to see if they are different. My size (35) is very limited. Back to my mephisto helens in the meantime. They are trusted and true. I’m on my 4th pair.

These were absolutely huge. At least 2 sizes too big.

Since these shoes form to your foot, you create your own arch. I was going to return them, but i kept them and it is time for another pair.

Unfortunately didn't work for me. The sole was very stiff. I walked around the house trying to get used to them but it just didn't feel right for me and I returned them.

Buying these to replace an identical pair I have worn through. LOVE them!

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. They are really comfortable, especially once they formed to my foot. Great support!

Very disappointed with this pair of Birkenstock’s. Own several Birkenstock’s, some from Zappos and some directly from Birkenstock and they all fit fine. This pair arrived in a taped together box, missing the Birkenstock label and had toe prints on the cork! I needed them so I decided to keep them anyway. After one wearing the the cork toe area has begun to shred unlike any of my other pairs which leaves me to suspect these may be “ knockoffs”? Can’t return as I’ve worn them two or three times now, but will NOT purchase Birkenstocks from Zappos in the future. Extremely disappointed, however delivery was prompt, too bad sandal was so unacceptable.

I’ve wanted the Gizehs for awhile, but wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the money. Now I wish I had bought them sooner! I wore them constantly around the house for the 2 hour break in period, but they were only uncomfortable for the first 1 or 2 days. After that I could wear them for walks if I wanted. Also, the shoe box has a very handy measure if you are unsure if you have the right size.

These felt snug in “height” from the sole to the top of the strap. I will be returning them as I don’t like the way the deep strap distance from toes to cross strap makes my feet look wide (I have narrow feet and these make my feet look as wide as snow skis). Can’t speak to long term comfort but they feel good just trying them on.

I couldn't be happier with these shoes! My size runs between a10 and 11, so I first purchased these in a size 41, but they were a bit too small. Got the size 42, and they fit comfortably right out of the box. The arch support is great, and I swear my feet were thanking me as I took my first few steps! I did not have any problem with the plastic toe thong as others have.
