Recent birks I’ve bought have a rougher foot bed. I wish these came in soft foot . The color is very pretty. Will return and I may get size larger. I use to fit in 36 but in past year I have to get 37 I think there sizes changed a bit. It is also weird have narrow feet and the 36 to narrow and they shouldn’t feel narrow. It was a regular width shoe. But luckily I can return for free. So if you not sure which size to get other 2 sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit.

The black patent is very shiny/glossy and looks and feels like plastic (not sure what I expected-I know patent is shiny-by the photo I thought it was distinguishing between a more suede-like texture and standard leather that has a sheen). Also the thong (between the toes) was uncomfortable but I'm wondering if it was because of the plastic-y/stiff material. So I may try one of the styles with traditional [leather? not sure]. The foot bed was comfortable, though.

Every summer I try and find a supportive sandal for work. I am an aesthetician and on my feet for much of the day and long hours. I have tried so many shoes over the years and have been miserable. Achy legs, hips, back, knees. I hesitated with Birkenstocks because I just felt “oh it’s another shoe that claims support but doesn’t offer it or it’s not for me.” I was wrong! I am in love with these! They are so comfortable. Just a little stiff the first day and then they begin to mold to your foot shape and soften up. The arch support is excellent as I do not have any leg, knee, hip pain and my back pain (due to other reasons) is not as bad as it usually is with poor quality or unsupportive shoes. I highly recommend trying these. They definitely will not be my only pair.

I love these sandals! They are super comfortable and supportive, however, even though I bought the Birkenstock cork sealer and immediately put it on, mine cracked at the ball of my feet in the first year I wore them. I'd love to get another pair, but am hesitant as these are not inexpensive shoes. I wonder why they break down so quickly? I have had two other pairs for years and they never did this.

My first pair of Birks and I’m a convert. I have worn these to death and they are still in great shape. Super comfortable and looking to buy my second pair in a different style.

Fit great, the piece between the toes hurts a little bit. I am hoping to break them in.

I LOVE these birks!

I love these sandals. But mine started splitting right under the ball of my foot pretty early on. I do wear them everyday but I didn’t even get one summer of wearing them before they started splitting.

I bought the size I normally wear in the Arizona and they were a little bit big. Other than that they are really cute and comfortable.

Love the shoes. I'm so disappointed. I thought the shoe would be perfect for my current foot issues. The shoe has no bend and is not wide enough. So, I will be returning shoes.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock's and after a short break in period, I fell in love. However, after less than a year of ownership and less than 6 months of wear (I don't wear them in the winter), the foot bed is peeling away from the cork outer sole and the cork outer sole is also cracking. I don't leave them outside to bake in the summer sun nor have they been submerged or gotten wet. I am very dissapointed by the workmanship. Based on what others have said, I was expecting to have this sandal last me for years, not just a few months!

Synthetic? Why on earth would Birkenstock charge this kind of price for something that isn't even leather. Just, no. Bring back more color choices in the quality leather we come to expect with Birkenstock.

Love my Birkenstock’s. Live in them all summer and when they get worn down, they are my comfy slippers around house.

I’m a size 7 in US sizes and almost always a 37 inEuropean sizes. I followed Zappos size guide for these and bought the 38, and they were too big. If you are a 7, get the 37. I also decided I didn’t like the faux leather - concerned about durability. These were regular width and felt slightly narrow on my wide feet, but I returned these and bought another pair in the correct size 37 with leather, and they are perfect.

Definitely order a size down from your normal. Great for my preggo feet and post pregnancy. They’re a little stiff but hopefully they will soften up with more wear.

The footbed is really comfortable, but I find the thong to be very uncomfortable between my toes. It doesn't rub but causes painful pressure so wearing these on walks is painful, but just around the house or office will be fine.
