I wanted to like these. Love the Gizeh style and I know these are the right size for me. It’s as though they stamped the leather the same size as a big size sandal. However, there was a weird buckle to the leather ( see picture). May I’ll try some next year to see if they are different. My size (35) is very limited. Back to my mephisto helens in the meantime. They are trusted and true. I’m on my 4th pair.

My feet are size 8, 2A or slim - very narrow. These looked like clown shoes on me. I had to buckle it with only 1 hole showing left and in doing that the T strap started to buckle sideways just above where it starts to go straight. The dohicky between the toes looked absolutely HUGE since my toes are very slim. That added to the clownnness. As has always been the case, Birkenstocks are not made for people with narrow feet. They looked so good on other people I saw with them but not on my slim foot.

I've been avoiding Birks for my entire life -- these were the only shoes my grandma would wear LONG before they were cool. They aren't the most attractive but OMG they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have a narrow foot and once I adjusted the strap, these fit my foot perfectly. They don't slide off!

I love these sandals. I have very narrow feet and normally wear a size 8 shoe or 7 1/2 in sandals. These fit me like a glove—size 37. Just ordered the pearl white. Wasn’t sure I would like the color because I really wanted gold but they didn’t have those in the narrow. I love the color—it’s very soft, almost like a very light tan.

Perfect fit! I love Birkenstock’s, they last and the fit gets better with age! The foot bed gives me all the support I need for my feet. I have flat feet and a bunion on the right. This is my 7th pair of Birkenstocks and 2nd color in the Gizeh. I love the Gizeh design, it’s a timeless classic!

Worth the price. Never buy knock off birkies, you will notice the difference

I usually wear a size 8-8.5. So, per recommendation, I ordered 1 full size down (7-7.5) and they fit perfect!!!!Very cute and very comfy.

The fit on these is classic to Birkenstock- a little rough on the feet at first because they are so structured, but in time they mold to your footbed and are amazing- all day sandals. I suggest wearing them at every chance you get when they first arrive, to break them in. These are surprisingly stylish for Birks as well.

These are great shoes. They do require a break in period. I read many reviews that said that these shoes hurt the space between their toes so much that they had to return them. Initially, I felt the same way. My suggestion is to wear them for a couple of hours each day, and then they feel lovely. I owned a pair of Arizonas in the early 90's and eventually had to donate them because the arches were too high and rubbed my arches raw. These Gizehs have moderate arch support and don't rub at all. Now for the sizing, these most difficult prospect on these shoes. I wear a size 9 1/2 -10 in all shoes. That would suggest that I would need a size 40 in Birkenstock. I own a pair of Dansko Clogs that are 40 and a pair of Dansko Sams that are a 41. I'm glad that I went to try a pair of Gizehs on in a store. A 40 was too big but they didn't have a 39 in stock because of an end of summer sale. I took a chance on a 39 from Zappos, knowing that I could return them. My foot definitely fills the entire foot bed and my heel and ball of my foot fall into the proper footwells. The width is still a little narrow. I have extremely wide feet and bought the regular Birkentstock width. The widest part of my foot hangs slightly over the side, but not enough for me to notice or care. Simple suggestions for longevity. Give these shoes time to break in. Take care of the cork with cork sealer once a year. Don't wear them as water shoes. These are great shoes and provide comfort and support. Please forgive my unpedicured toes, I wanted to show width and sizing.

This is not my first pair of birks! But it's not because the other ones fell apart, I wore the others for straight summers and needed a change. Birks are the most durable sandals I've ever owned. This particular pair stood out to me because of the off white leather and bronze looking buckle in the photo online. When I got them in the mail I was 100x happier to see they had a beautiful luminescent glaze to them. Can't wait until summer!

Had these sandals previously and just wore them out! Comfortable and true to size. I have a wide foot and these fit great!

These are great all purpose sandals. This purchase is actually my second pair of this exact shoe -- my original pair was rendered useless when my lovely black lab decided to eat one of them, leaving me with half a pair. They're great for travel, easy to walk in, but better looking than Tevas.

Love the Birkenstock Gizeh Sandal! This is my first pair of Birks which I purchased after seeing several of my friends wearing them and they all raved about the Gizeh Sandal as well. I wore it all day in San Diego (4 x 8 hour days of sightseeing) and continued to wear them in NYC until the weather got colder - they are that comfortable. I tried a couple other Birk styles, but they did not fit as well as the Gizeh. My only complaint is that I am regularly a 37 in European size (6.5-7 US), and had to go down a 35 in these Birks, otherwise my feet were swimming in the sandal. I think that part of the reason it's so comfortable is not only the strong arch support and adjustable strap, but also the wide footbed (although I have medium width feet).

I could walk miles and miles in these shoes. This is my second pair of Gizahs. Fantastic. I normally wear a size 9 (40), but always purchase 39 in Birks.

I was looking forward to having Birkenstocks because so many people talk about the comfort they experience wearing them. The molded bottom of the shoe was comfortable, but the thong was killing me.

I can no longer wear flip flops so I have been binging on Birk's. I had my first pair MANY years ago and they are like butter. In hopes of finding the same comfort with a boost in style, I bought a pair of Gizeh's. Compared to my other Birk's they are a bit stiff. Considering they are new, I have been wearing them around the house with hopes of them softening up, so far it's been a week and they are slowly getting better. I feel that they will give in time. I recently bought other Arizona styles and they are breaking in nicely. Overall, the fit is good, I am a 7-7.5 slightly on the narrow side and the 38 regular fits great. They are snug in the toe (in a good way) so they won't fly off my feet. The toe strap is plastic and harder than I would like but not uncomfortable. I purchased the black licorice color and they are slightly shiny but not as formal as patent leather. Overall I love these as much as my other Birkenstock's and would recommend for a comfort sandal.

After reading reviews I ordered size 38, even though I generally wear size 8 or 39. Regular width fit my slightly narrow feet well, length is perfect. I am still breaking them in, soles are a little hard but forming to my footbed. Right now good for standing, hopefully they will be good for walking as well. Onyx color is beautiful, goes well with blue, gray and black.

Fit is true to size and arch support was good however this sandals felt a bit wide (and I have a moderately wide foot). The thong between the toes was the deal breaker. Really stiff and uncomfortable. I could tell it was a no go.

Totally disappointed in the shoes I received. Clearly they had been worn. Can't believe Zappos sent these on to another customer. Certainly makes me think twice about ordering shoes from Zappos in the future.

This is my 6th pair of Gizeh. Birks are the only shoes I wear 10 months of the year.

Absolutely love them! Very comfy and I like that they’re a little different style than the Arizona that everyone is wearing. Love the white, they go with everything. I’m usually a women’s 10.5 and the 41 fit perfectly. First pair of birks and first time wearing them I walked 4 miles in them (admittedly a bit ambitious) and part between the toe bugged me but now after wearing them a week and they seem to be broken in, no issue whatsoever…they’re crazy comfy! I wear them everywhere!

I love this style! I purchased the Silver Metallic and they are just adorable in style and color. I wish there were half sizes in Birkenstocks as I wear a women’s 11 shoe and the 42s run closer to 11.5. Highly recommend!

I'm usually a size 7.5 or 8 and ordered the 38. These were my first Birkenstocks (I bought them in 2015) and they were so freaking uncomfortable, I was very upset to have wasted so much money on them, so I kept wearing them and kept feeling very frustrated. Then... magically I was walking around and noticed I wasn't uncomfortable anymore, I had been walking for a long time and I was actually great! So I sat on a bench and examined the shoes and my foot had molded the footbed to fit me perfectly.... I guess this is what I had heard Birkenstocks did, but they were SOOOO uncomfortable I didn't believe it. Well... they're now a fabulous shoe, I wear them every spring/fall/summer since 2015 and bought myself a second pair for my birthday.
