I love these shoes. I bought them to wear for the summer in Europe when I knew I'd be walking a lot and wanted supportive sandals without looking like a foreigner. It took a few days to break them in, but now that I have, they're very comfortable and do exactly as I was hoping. I'd definitely recommend them and love that they came in narrow! If you have a narrow foot, these are a great find.

I purchased these for a 2 week tour of Italy four years ago and they were great. Lots of walking and standing without foot pain or leg fatigue. I have worn them ever since and after four years, needed a second pair. The color goes with everything. Great arch support and no flopping like a traditional flip-flop.

Lovely sandal. The leather version is much richer looking than the less expensive version. The leather is also softer. I agree with other reviewers about the piece in between the toes - very big and hard. However, with regular wear, I am starting to break that part in and they get more comfortable with each wear. Love Zappos!

Extra thick leather, comfortable foot bed, but design has flaw. Hard black plastic tab between toes causes blisters and pretty significant pain if your planning on doing any real walking.

I was very pleased with the product and the prompt service; especially since I had to exchange due to size difference. I would have no problem ordering another pair of Birkenstock.

I really like the shoe, except the rubber bit between the toes is really uncomfortable. I thought I would get used to it, as I wear flip-flops all the time, and my other Birkenstocks of a between-toe style don't hurt at all - but these do, even after weeks of wear. I had to buy soft rubber spacers to wrap around it to stop the pain. I'm also a size 7, and always wear a size 36 in Birkenstock. Not sure why a 36 a labeled US size 5-5.5.

My wife loves the shoes! Comfort and quality are top notch and as always the service and super fast delivery from Zappos is top notch!

I really wanted to be able to keep these since everyone tells me they are great walking sandals, but I can't find the right fit. I'm usually a 7.5 with somewhat flat feet. The 38 is too long there is quite a bit of space in the back but the 37 is to small. In both sizes my feet are too wide and run over the sides and though I never wear anything other than normal width in all of my other shoes.

The Thong thing. The plastic "post" that comprises the thong in this sandal is brutally hard and sharp. Could not take one step without excruciating pain. I must say, however, that I went to a local store to try the same shoe on, and found that I took a size smaller, a 38 instead of a 39. The thong is less painfully placed. Ended up buying another thong from Birkenstock, the Mayari, that has a leather strap that forms the thong, and much softer, also in size 38, one size smaller that what I ordered online from you. It was more expensive, but the price differential was worth it to know how it felt before buying it. The customer support person could have been more helpful if she had suggested this possibility to me. Still love your online store!

The shoes are great, but more importantly was the terrific service. I called and said I thought I had the wrong size. They sent me the next size down so I could try them on and compare the two different sizes. Zappos e-mailed me a return address label. I slapped it on the box and it sent back the original pair. It was great! I love my shoes.

I have worn Birkenstock sandals for many years but always the ones with the straps across the foot. I was worried I would not be able to get used to this one. The worry was needless because these sandals are very comfortable. They take about 4 or five days of wearing them to adjust but then they are the best! I am a size 9 and the 40 is perfect. Wonderful arch support.

I just purchased my second pair of Gizeh sandals. For the summer, I got the Antique Lace, which is an off white, creamy color. They're beautiful and perfect for the summer. I wear a custom orthodic in my athletic shoes and this is the only sandal that provides the same level of arch support. Excellent shoe and great color.

This is my 3rd paid of Gizeh, and just as comfortable as the first two. They're cute and summery but still have the carefree feeling of Birks. The white is bright!

Shopping with Zappos is a good thing. Their return policy is painless and as they advertise. I recently had a problem with regular shoes and my podiatrist said one word Birkenstock so I went looking for a pair I would wear. I got exactly what I needed and for a fair price and no tax. This has saved me money and some pain. Now I shop in the regular stores and find the shoe and the right size and then I go home and order it from Zappos. My feet are getting better and I'm saving money. This is a win-win.

Awesome, comfortable, and cute! My feet were wrecked from flip flops and no support, so I hesitantly ordered these. I'm not a fan of regular Birks, but these are great. I've received a ton of compliments and they are comfy! I did have to order 2 sizes smaller than I normally wear for the arch to fit correctly. Next year I will probably get another color!

I think I wore them too long before breaking them in, and I got blisters on the balls of my feet. Now that they are molded to my feet, they are fantastic. I want to wear them all the time!

I wear the Gizeh 365 days a year. It is great! Since I have worn this style I have not been bothered by plantar fasciitis.

I don't understand how these sandals can be comfortable. I have friends that rave about them. I could not walk comfortably in them. The sole is stiff and painful to my feet. The strap rubbed my instep. In all fairness, the size (40) was larger for me than usual. They're cuter than I thought, but they're going back today.

Love these sandals! Ordered a size 38 narrow even though I normally wear a US size 8. Be sure to break them in slowly, though. I still have blisters between my toes from a few days ago. Walked just a little too far in them.

Love them! They have a distinct bronzed look that doesn't show up in the picture. They are more metallic looking than the picture.

This was my first time ordering with Zappos an I had an excellent experience! I was hesitant about ordering Birkenstocks, as I have always deemed them hippie style. I took a chance and ordered the Gizeh style because it looked a little more stylish. They came in very quickly and once I put them in I was in love. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I am on my feet all day and they have excellent arch support and In have even noticed my back isn't hurting as much! I am definitely a fan and will be purchasing many more Berks in the future!

This is now the 4th pair of this shoe that I own. It's a fantastically comfortable sandal. The colors are great and the price was worth it!

This was my first pair of Gizehs, although I had owned Birkenstocks (Arizona, Madrid) before. The Birkenstock footbed has excellent arch support (perfect for plantar fasciitis sufferers like me), and molds to your foot over time. It took me a week or two to get used to the plastic piece between the toes, but once I did, I found them very comfortable. The Birko-Flor is a felt-backed vinyl that doesn't quite look or feel like leather, but is lightweight, comfortable, and more affordable than the leather. It does seem to pick up dust and lint easily, but nothing that a lint roller couldn't fix. I normally wear a 6.5 wide or 7 medium, and found that the 35 Regular fit my foot best. Relatively stylish for such a comfortable sandal! Highly recommend!
