I chose to get the Birko-Flor Gizehs because they were less expensive than the leather Gizehs, and I didn't think I would be sacrificing quality. I got them in the Golden Brown and was thrilled with the color and quality. So pretty! My foot is all over the place, ranging from an 8-9 and I got an 8 and they fit perfectly. It took me a day to get used to them because they have so much more material surrounding your foot than a normal flip-flop, but I got over that. I purchased them for a trip to Italy and wore them everyday for a week and never had an pain/discomfort. One time I experienced a little bit of redness on the inside of my feet from the strap rubbing, but other than that great. I highly recommend these cute, supportive, quality sandals!

I just got back from Germany, where everyone wore these. I got home, ordered some and am in love! They are comfortable and stylish. I get compliments on them every time I wear them! Only thing, they size a little large, about 1/2 size. Zappos was wonderful about the exchange though. Gotta love the free shipping!

These shoes are extremely comfortable and great quality for your feet to run around in 24/7. May order them in another color in the future.

I wear these shoes every day, for work and play. I did buy a size smaller than expected - I wear an 8, and I bought the European size recommended for 7-7 1/2. They work well on my feet, giving plenty of breathing room for my bunions!

These are my first pair of Birkenstocks and they are fantastic. The color is incredibly neutral and I love the design of these thongs. I love how the big toe cleavage is covered! I purchased them for walking, errands, and general everyday things. They are becoming my go to summer shoe. The only drawback is the Birko-Flor gets a little sweaty against my skin in high heat and during a bike ride. I assumed that leather would not do this.

The first time I wore these shoes, I developed a blister from the toe bar. Now that I am used to them (and have developed a callous) they are really comfortable and I wear them all of the time.

The need for this review is really unnecessary, as anyone who has ever worn a pair of Birkenstock's will know just how comfortable they are. I've never worn them before this pair, as I hadn't run across a pair that I felt fit my style. However patent red leather is right up my alley. I'm so glad I purchased these. It's hard to put on any other pair of shoes since the day they arrived at my house.

Wonderful, WON-derful sandals! I have between a size 10.5 and 11 foot that is normal width, but runs a little on the narrow side. I got size 41 narrow and they fit perfectly. The inside feels felty and soft-- my foot stays nice and dry and cool-feeling on a day in the 90s. They don\'t look clunky at all. The part between the toes is cut to sit very stylishly on the foot. The chocolate brown patent is so chic it\'s the perfect combination of style and comfort.

I love these shoes! I ordered them because I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet and my podiatrist recommended Birkenstocks. I love the way these look on my feet, too. They don't make my foot look wide and I have gotten so many compliments. They have helped my condition tremendously! I have tried so many other shoes. My closet is full of "specially designed for plantar fasciitis" shoes, but I wear these every day. They look cute with shorts, capris & dresses. I have the brown leather with jewels, too. They are prettier, but not quite as comfortable as these. They run big. Order at least a size smaller than you usually do. They do take some getting used to and breaking in. They are very firm but mold to your foot a little. Give them some time; you will love the support! I love you, Zappos.com! My fav way to shop!

I\'ve had 2 other pairs of Birkenstocks, the clog and original two strap. I LOVE the thong style of this shoe. It is incredibly comfortable and trendy, too. I definitely think it is worth the price (which is actually really good for Birkenstock brand). Great customer service, too!

The Best! Have owned them for a month now - wear them almost every day. Wore them to a "Garden Wedding" and I was the only woman who did not sink into the damp grass - and received MANY compliments! They dress up OR look great with jeans. I bought red they are bright shinny and fun. No break in period - they just fit and look great.

Bought these for one of my grandkids. It's the 5th pair I've purchased, for both her and other kids and grandkids; always bought them from Zappos. Love the quick service from Zappos and love the shoe. First bought a pair in Berlin Germany. Zappos has the same shoe and a much easier return if needed!

I love my new Birks. Just one word to the wise: I'm normally a size 7.5 or 8, and I had to order a size 37 (6-6.5). They definitely run big.

Very comfortable shoe - terrific arch support. Runs a bit big, so you might want to order 1 size down.

I really love these sandals. They are a great gold-ish color that goes with anything. For someone with a lot of back problems, these were a stylish godsend!

I ordered the golden brown color thinking it would just be plain brown, but when it showed up it has some metallic in it. I was pleasantly surprised, it’s a fun detail, and it makes them a little more special. I have very high arches, so it is difficult to find shoes that feel supportive and that don't leave me with pain by the end of the day. These are great, excellent arch support, great to walk around in. I am usually a 7.5, but in the past I have bought Birkenstocks according to their sizing and felt they were too large. I ended up getting a 37 (a 38 was recommended) and they fit perfectly. As usual, they showed up super quickly, just a day or so after I ordered them. Great shoes! I definitely recommend them!

Very nice color! They are comfortable; I am breaking them in gradually as I have before with other Birkenstock sandals. They feel a bit stiff at first until the foot bed conforms to your foot. The quality is great. The toe thing is not a problem. Size was just right. Shipping was so fast, very impressed with your service.

I have to say that these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever purchased. The price is a little high for Birkenstocks but they last FOREVER. The sandal is very supportive; it has arch support and little indentations for your toes. The strap part is super soft on the top of your foot so there's no rubbing and soreness like with other sandals of this style. Also, the sizes run big. I am normally a 7-7.5 and I purchased a 6-6.5 (which is a Birkenstock 37), so just be aware of that. I wear them with everything, pretty much everyday. They look really nice with a dress or jeans so they can definitely be your ALL SUMMER LONG shoes. Like I said before they are comfortable and the best sandal I have ever owned. You'll be very happy with your purchase.

Finally! A Birk for narrow feet. Love them. Fits well and feels good. These will be my dress-up sandals all summer.

Bought the Gizeh's for a few trips I was taking this summer. My shoes arrived the day before my trip to Disney World. I wore them on my flight down and for a few hours walking around at the outlets when we arrived in Florida. They were a little stiff but not at all unbearable. After wearing them around a little bit here and there for about a week, they were completely broken in. Some people may be concerned with the thong, but it never bothered my toes. I need arch support (I'm 25, but have trouble wearing flat shoes), and these sandals provided a great alternative to sneakers when walking around a lot. I think one of the best things is that the sandal can be dressed up or down depending on what you're wearing. I'm taking them on a trip to Paris next week and I'm sure they'll be comfortable and provide the support I need!

The toe part is REALLY THICK. I bought these because I have been looking for a more stylish Birkenstock sandal with the same comfort of my beloved old ones, and thought these would fit the bill. I can't wear regular thongs if the between the toe part is too thick, and unfortunately these were too thick. I wore them for an afternoon of light shopping in Vegas and developed painful blisters on both feet between my big toe and 2nd toe. If you are used to wearing thick thonged thongs you'll love them, but if not I recommend the Cozumel style.

I didn’t expect these to be actually gold (like, shiny gold)... I thought they’d be more of a golden-browny matte color. They are shimmery gold – but they’re cute. I just got them and they are comfy.

These are great and not too granola. I had a pair of Birks years ago and forgot how comfortable they were. Was a little concerned about the thong aspect but after some mild rubbing the first few times I wore them, they became quite comfortable. For fit, am almost always a 39 in other shoes, but have always been a 38 in Birks and Danskos...hmm. Got them in the "chocolate patent" and the color is very dark brown, almost black. Like them a lot!
