I have foot problems and needed footwear to wear in the house on hardwood floors (very hard on the feet). This sandal is great! Very light and the arch support is excellent. My feet never get tired at the end of the day. I also like the adjustable buckle strap that allows for a tight fit around my narrow foot. The only problem is that it has a "60's" hippie look about them, but for in the house wear, I can live with this.

Great shoes! I was very hesitant to order a size down from my regular size 6-6.5, but I did because of the previously posted reviews. I am glad I did, the smaller size fits perfectly. Just like all Birks, you need to wear them in a bit. The metallic color is a bit different, but they seem to match with everything reg. brown would. I have already received compliments on them!

They're great for my walk to work. Be sure to break these in. I wound up with blisters on the balls of both feet from wearing them too much too soon.

Nice to find narrow widths that actually fit! These are nice, but not quite as well fitting as my Birkenstocks. These required some wearing in - got a blister between my toes when I first used them, something that never happens with Birkenstocks. Wish there were other footbed choices (colors) - like black for example. That would dress them up a little, but all in all, I love them and am grateful to find narrow-width sandals that actually fit!

Good, but need to be broken in - I only gave this 3 stars for comfort because you have to break these in (unlike other Birks I've owned). The toe separator definitely gives you blisters if you aren't careful, but if you wear them gently the first week or so (no long hikes!), they're great! Very good for walking everywhere, as I do with my baby and the weird shiny brown leather color is quite nice.

I have horrible feet so I was looking for something that would provide support and not hurt my bunion. I walk around a lot on pavement so I needed something that wasn't going to scar up my feet like all my other "work" shoes. They had to be appropriate enough for work (public relations) and play. I was skeptical at first because they are heavy duty! But the design and shape alone show that they are high quality. The toe separator seemed a little painful at first, but you get used to them. The footbed is really comfy. I am a size 9 US but got a 39 instead of a 40. They fit snugly against my foot. I think I could walk long distances in these without being in pain. They are hippie looking but I like that look and they are great with long skirts or pants. I recommend these for comfort and for style. Oh, and I got the brown and they are great with light or dark colors!

Birkenstock Sandal - The shoes were not initially comfortable at all, but they get better with a few wears and long walks. They look really nice and I have received numerous compliments on the shoes. I'd recommend them for aesthetic reasons, but not comfort.

Birkenstock - I really love these shoes, they are very stylish for Birkenstock and they look great with my summer outfits. I am a size 8.5 and ordered the 39. After wearing them though I am wondering if I should have returned them for the 40. They looked and felt like they fit but after wearing them my toes seem scrunched a little at the front of the shoe. They run a bit on the smaller side. Very comfortable though. I even hiked in them and no blisters.

Continues to live up to reputation - As far as Birks go, these are pretty stylish. The fit is good and the support is nice. The leather between the toes is thick and uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I went from cheap flip-flops to these and immediately noticed less pain in my knees and back. My heels hurt for a few days because the sole is so hard, but it's worth it for the support. I’ll buy these again. Maybe in the other color next time. I would like them in a softer leather.

Gizehs are great! Got a size smaller than my usual and in regular width after returning one size up at narrow width. These fit wonderfully. My only complaint is that the top flaps of the thongs only clear my toes by a 1/2 - 3/4 inch. I can live with this, as the shoe is still really cute on. As always, Zappos return and shipping policies are very generous - both times I ordered this shoe I was upgraded to next-day shipping, when it didn't have to be. Thanks so much!

My feet are just too wide

All the comfort of a Birkenstock sandal except the toe thong was pressed uncomfortably against my foot, so I had to return.

I wanted to love these so much but they were too snug and hurt my big toes

Since Birkenstock has discontinued making most styles in Narrow widths, I ordered these in Regular hoping I could make them work. Spoiler alert: I couldn't. I hope they will revisit this decision in the near future, and start producing Narrows again.

I have always loved these and had an older pair I was trying to replace. These felt so narrow, I couldn’t wear them sadly had to return.

I love love love Birkies. I have had many colors over the years. This particular one felt a little more narrow and therefore, uncomfortable.

Great shoe if you don’t have small toes. The plastic under the cork footbed extending under the toes was too high and firm. Hurt when wearing. Love my other Birkenstocks.

Usually I buy size 37. I don’t know what happened. I must have ordered the US size I just realized that is the reason I don’t wear these. Can it be returned?

I love these sandals, but did not like the color of these. The description said they were a “graceful pearl white” but in reality, they were more of a very pale goldish color. So I returned them for white ones.

Too large. I wear a 8-8.5 and was advised to order a size 39, though I normally wear a 38. As well the toe separators are stiff and dig into my toes. The material seems to be thinner and less flexible. I’m returning them.
