This was my first pair of Birkenstocks and I am impressed so far! They took about a week to break in, and now they are super comfortable. I get so many compliments on the hot pink color, too. I wear size 10 so I initially ordered size 41 to be safe, but ended up exchanging them for a 40. So the size chart is pretty accurate.

The shoes arrived very promptly. Great service. I have at least eight pairs of Birkenstocks in different colors. Love them. The regular fit really well because my feet are between a medium and wide size. The sizing is totally reliable, or I would never buy shoes through the mail!

I was getting tired of flip flop sandals with no support...wanted a stylish sandal with wouldn't kill my feet and legs at the end of the day. Perfect solution!

I love these shoes! I have three pairs in this style, all in cute, different colors. They are very comfortable, and they go well with anything - shorts, jeans, dresses. The pink is very bright.

Love these! Love Zappos! I bought them in my true size and they are perfect - could even have gone up a 1/2 size and been ok. I have a wide foot and a very high arch, and they fit exactly. This is my first pair of Birks. I have resisted over years of hearing how comfortable they were. Butt ugly, I thought. The strap style and the metallic silver finally overcame my fear of looking like a Hobbit. They wear great with everything, jeans, skirts, shorts.

These Birkenstock sandals are the BEST! When ordering you have to order down a size (if you are size 7, order size 6) and the gizeh style MAY take some time adjusting to the toe thong. Hang in there... They are well worth the break-in period! These sandals are wonderful for your feet and legs and there is NO slapping of the footbed on the sole of your foot and the sole of the shoe stays on your foot!

These shoes are amazing. They are so comfortable. I can walk in them all day long and since my feet have very high arches, the arch fits nicely. Also, they don't slip around- which many shoes like this do.

Once these shoes have been broken in, you'll find them to be the most comfortable shoes you own. But here's something no one seems to want to talk about: the thong, the portion that goes between your toes and is fatter than most. It *will* cause pain and possibly blisters for the first week or so that you wear them. Soldier on, and you'll get used to it, but you will also have nasty layers of dead skin between your toes where the blisters were, as you work your way to a new callus. A solid pedicure after the blisters have healed will be the trade-off for what will ultimately be one of your most comfortable pairs of shoes ever, I give them 4 stars for comfort because of the initial break-in period issues.

I just came back from a two week cruise in Europe. There was so much walking all on cobblestone streets but my new sandals made it so enjoyable. At the end of my day my feet felt great. They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn and they look so fashionable also.

These were beautiful and fit perfectly. Once I paired them with the particular clothes that I wanted to wear with these shoes I realized that I needed a different color. I returned them and got the onyx color which was just right. I buy one new pair of Gizehs a year plus another Birk model. I love them, they are always comfortable and wear very well. I have a fair amount of arthritis in my feet and I find that I get just the right amount of support and cushioning with my Gizehs.

Love! I finally broke down and bought some Birks because my flip flops were killing my feet and it's super hot where I live. I didn't think I was a Birkenstock kind of person, but a friend has some and loves them so I tried them and they are so comfortable! And they don't "flop." I'm usually an 8 and I got the 39 and they fit beautifully! And I love the shiny patent leather.

These shoes saved my life! I was in Disney with a cheap pair of flip flops and I realized I was going to regret it after 9 days of walking. SO I decided to have Zappos send me these shoes to my hotel. It was the best thing I every did! They are so comfortable and supportive...and they look great too. I have a wide foot and these shoes fit me perfectly. I hate it when my toe hangs off the side. I didn't have a problem with these at all. I could walk all day in these. I am now a fan of Birks and thanks to Zappos for shipping them to me Next Day. You guys are awesome! Made my Disney trip so much happier. :)

Never owned a pair before. Length is fine, but a bit too narrow. Have to exchange for a medium width.

This was my first experience with Zappos but will not be my last. Finding shoes that fit properly for me, is difficult. I selected 3 pair, hoping to be able to keep one. It worked. The credit issued to me was timely and returning the unwanted items was stressless.

This shoe runs big. I wear a size 8 so ordered the 39 and will be returning because it's too big. Some reviews said that a smaller size and narrow was better for them. I think I need to go to the store and try these on to get the correct fit.

I love these! But the purpose of this review is not to praise Birkenstock (although they are well deserving), but rather to hopefully clear up some sizing confusion. So I was really unsure about what size to order. There are a lot of reviews with kind of confusing sizing information. So hopefully the following will be helpful to you in sizing: I typically wear a size 8-9 in most shoes. This doesn't really mean anything, though, because all brands and feet are different, and a wide variety of people with a wide variety of feet probably think they wear size 8-9 shoes. So my foot measures approximately 9.5 inches. I orded the size 38 and it fits perfectly. However, I do have short toes, so I have the full 1/4 inch (at least) recommended by Birkenstock between my toes and the edge of the shoe. This size fits so well that I cannot feel the black plastic toe-piece (a major complaint in many of these reviews), because they are not small enough so as to force my foot into the toe piece. So to summarize: 9.5 inch foot with shorter toes can wear size 38 (even though it is supposedly for sizes 7-7.5). Also, I got the Jade color to go with my vast teal/blue wardrobe. It's definitely more of a dark teal in real life than in the picture, but I still love the color.

Just got these and I'm already in love with my 1st pair of Birkenstocks! I'm normally a size 7 but had to order a 6 in these as they run a little big, or maybe it's just because I have short toes! Zappos customer service was wonderful as usual, hassle free to have the right size shipped out the next day! Highly recommend these shoes!

Absolutely love these sandals. I have a bad back and cannot wear flip flops for even an hour. I gave these a try and love them. I won't wear anything but Birkenstock sandals. So cute and provide lots of support! Zappos replaced my first pair because the cork split which is unusual. I had them the next day.

Love these! Very comfortable. I am a professional dancer and needed something for "pounding the pavement" in NYC and these were the perfect solution for summer footwear.

This my 2nd pair of Birkies and it feel like the first time! Still in love with these comfy stylish (enough) and practical sandals. I am on my feet for a large part of the day (teacher) and walk every where (New Yorker) so these are the perfect pair.

I agree with all the positive comments about this sandal, it is extremely comfortable and I love the look! but I do find it runs large. I'm going to keep the size 40's I've been wearing but am going to order a pair in 39 as I'm feeling self conscious about the extra space surrounding my feet. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and normally am a solid 40 (9). One of my favorite sandals, ever.

This is my third pair. I buy for the comfort and support and I like the this style. They are way more feminine than some of the other styles available in this brand. You do have to get use to the piece between your toes but once you do it is all good and worth. I wrapped moleskin around it until I got used to them. I will buy these again and again.

Really feels great on the foot. I just don't know if I am ready to give into the look yet. I wish the fabric on the front was thinner and more feminine.
