My feet can usually fit either a 7 1/2 or an 8 in sandals so I chose to purchase a 38 since I read somewhere if you are a half size go down. Wrong choice! At first it fit nicely, comfy. 4 hours later the bottom of my feet before my arch hurt so bad. Then I realized my arch and the arch of the shoe didn't align correctly. So unfortunately I am returning this shoe for a 39. I bought a 39 in a different color and they were very comfortable. Moral of the story, if you are a half size I suggest going up to the next full size.

I am in love with these shoes! After foot surgery, my doctor told my flats and flip flops were out of the picture. Devastated, I began looking for the next best thing. These are outrageously comfortable and supportive. There was relatively no "break in" period. I will say that the color I have (the antique lace) was not what i thought. I thought it was a soft cream, but its actually has an off white, shiny look.

I ordered the Gizeh sandals in white and I love them! There are a couple of issues that other reviewers mentioned which I would like to address. First, the plastic thong piece did not bother me at all as other reviewers claimed. I am used to wearing flip flops and other sandals with toe pieces so I agree that this could contribute to me not noticing the plastic piece on these Gizeh sandals. I have a pair of Birkenstock Florida sandals with the soft footbed and I was worried that these Gizeh sandals would be too hard compared to the soft footbeds but they were not. They required slightly more break in time but I wore the sandals for a couple hours at a time almost every day for a week and never experienced blisters. I do agree with other reviews that these sandals have more arch support than the soft footbed sandals do. I wear a size 7.5-8 consistently and ordered a 38 in these sandals, the same as my Florida pair, and did not have a problem with them being too big. These sandals are easy to wear and match with so many outfits because I ordered the white. I highly recommend them and will be ordering another pair again soon!

This is my second pair of the Gizehs, and I absolutely love them. I wear these now instead of flip-flops due to a hip injury. They fit well in all the right places and are very supportive. I want them in every color!

I purchased these after having plantar fascia surgery on my right foot, as I needed something with firm arch support for my still-healing foot. These were perfect! They are *very* firm when you first wear them and it takes a bit of getting used to. Once you wear them a few days though they become very comfortable. I would recommend not fitting the adjustable straps too tight to begin with because the leather does stretch with wear and you will end up adjusting them tighter the more you wear them.

Love the color and very comfortable. I have problem with other flip flops because my feet slide and cause friction sores on my toes. My feet don't move in these because of the arch support.

Love my silver Birkenstocks! Wear them all the time. Order a size down though, they run very big! I wear a 7.5/8, so I ordered up to the 8/8.5 just to be sure. They wear huge! Returned them for the smaller size and even those have some room in the heal.

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable, supportive, and stylish. I wear them every day! It took me a couple of days to get used to the toe strap.

Just purchased these. Very cute sandal. Still need time to mold it to my feet. It takes a few times of wearing before that happens. Then they are super comfy. I am normally a size 6 1/2 - 7. I've had a pair of Birks that were a 37 and they were huge. Definitely size down! I got a 36 which is a 5 1/2 and they fit perfect!

I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 but I wear the size 38 in Birkenstocks. I LOVE these shoes. I've had my eye on them for quite a while and finally bought a pair. These are comfortable enough to wear all day and the Licorice color is perfect. Not to shiny and not too matte. I will be living in those for several summers to come. I suffer with bunion pain and these actually offer some relief.

I heart these shoes. My feet are very narrow and sandals with a strap over the top of the foot rarely if ever fit. These are fantastic. Comfortable from the very beginning. No issues with the band between the toes.

I bought these sandals because I have Plantar Fasciitis, and needed comfortable shoes for summer. I knew Birks would work well for that problem, and I'm very happy with them. They're more stylish than other Birks, and go with everything I wear. There was a painful breaking in period of about two weeks. The toe piece needed time to soften and was very painful at first. It didn't hurt the insides of my toes, but the tops, which was weird. I stuck with it, and I'm so glad I did - they are now very comfortable, and I wear them all the time. Be prepared for a rough two weeks! I used moleskin on my toes to alleviate the pain, which helped.

Nice shoe, but the toe piece was too uncomfortable and I don't have time to break it in. Summer is upon us and I need it now. Love Birkenstocks and Zappos service is amazing.

Beautiful, feather-light sandals; go with any outfit. I'm between sizes (8.5-9 or 39-40), therefore I did some research, read some reviews, tried different styles at Bloomingdales' and decided to order regular, size 40. When the sandals arrived, they fit perfectly. I am contemplating getting Arizonas now. Love!

I love these sandals! I used to wear Birks like crazy, back in the day, but I have not had a pair in the last five years or so. Recently, I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, and am in need of more supportive shoes and sandals. So, I decided to try a new pair of Birkenstocks. These sandals are not only comfortable, but so much cuter than my many old pairs of Birks. I got the grey color, which is almost a metallic gunmetal color. I love it and it goes with so much! You will not regret buying these. As all Birks go, they run a little large (wide) and are in European sizing. I am a size 7-7½ and got the size 38. They are a good and comfortable fit.

Super happy with all Black, cleans and shines nicely. Haven't owned Birkies since high school, so super excited new mature styles that are more modern to fit this 40 year mom of 5 who wears leggings and athletic tops 95% of the time and these shoes dress up this ensemble just enough as needed.

I love the look of this shoe, however, being a long time flip flop wearer....these gave me blisters due the the toe piece being hard plastic. So incredibly uncomfortable - I tried to give them a chance, but, sadly must return them.

I really like the versatility of this shoe. I had to return it because it was way too big. I typically wear a 6 or 6.5, so I thought the 36 would be fine, but I ended up getting a 35.

I wear a size ten and ordered the EU size 40 and got a perfect fiit. If this is your first pair of Birkenstocks remember it takes a few outings to have the cork bedding settle to your foot shape. I love the black patent leather. They are so versitil with shorts, jeans, capris and long skirts.

True love--I am a flip flop girl at heart but pushing 40 and chasing after two kids and just need more support for outings to parks, museums, etc. I have med-high arches and these fit like a dream. Suspect I'll be wearing them daily all summer. Based on orther reviews that they run a bit big, I ordered both a 38 and a 39 to try. Found them to be very true to size. I'm an 8 and the 39 was perfect. The 38 was too short and narrow in the heel cup. The titanium is a greenish pewter color with a subtle sheen. It'll go with everything.

I love these shoes...life changing, but the blues ones were a weird iridescent blue. I was hoping for navy...going back for black!

My first Birkies! Love!! Comfy and stylish although had to break in. I agree with reviewers that had issues with hard plastic toe separater, did rub, got a blister. I chose to break them in at JazzFest in New Orleans so lots of walking. I slapped some mole skin on and was fine. I will be using them a lot this summer including at other music festivals. Will be my go to summer sandal.

I wear a narrow size and have very flat feet, so when I find something that's really comfortable I stick with it. I've worn Birkenstocks for years. I don't usually wear thong-style sandals, and should have taken time to get used to them before wearing on vacation. I ended up with a blister (the only reason I don't give them 5 stars for comfort, although I'm to blame).

I am so in love with these shoes!! The size was right on. I did have to break them in so I wore them around the house for a few days and now they are by far the most comfortable shoes I own. I live in Southern California for I am a flip flop girl all the way but these are my new everyday shoe. They have the support that I need so I can wear them everywhere all day. And this style is so cute, they are certainly not your old Birkenstock.
