As a college-aged student I really wanted a comfortable pair of sandals that were easy to slip on and run to class in (if necessary). I also wanted something that was cute and stylish, and something that wouldn't give me blisters or knee pain, and I haven't been disappointed even once! I've worn my "Birks" every day since the day I got them, with socks or without, in the dorm and outside, and I am completely in love with 'em! They make life good.

Decided to retry Birkenstock after a 15-year hiatus. At that point, no different widths were available. Like the fact that this style is leather with variable straps since the suede straps of my old Arizonas used to stretch out and would require extra holes. The length size EU 39 (US 8-8.5) in this style was fine but the Medium width was a bit too wide since the leather straps could only be adjusted so much to secure the sandal to my foot. Also the leather straps adjusted this way were not comfortable on the top of my foot. I also found that inner edge resting against my arch was very stiff. I was hoping this might help with my current plantar issue but not this style in Medium. Maybe a Narrow (which is strange since I wear ExtraWide in Hoka Bondi9s. I did like the pliancy of the Softbed liner though which was a revelation. I wish more styles were offered with this option.

I have owned Birkenstock Florida in the past. The narrow was a borderline fit for long walks on hot days. I’m probably between narrow and wide but opted for the wide softbed this time. I’ve been wearing for about 5 weeks and they are still uncomfortable. Maybe it’s the black oiled leather but I have never experienced such stiff, hard, sharp edged leather as in this pair. They are irritating no matter how I adjust the straps. I bought a pair of Arizona around the same time, oiled leather and softbed and experienced none of that. I hope the leather will soften over time. As far as sizing, I wear an 8 M in regular shoes (opt for 8.5 in boots). I have always worn the 38 in Birkenstock and it continues to be the same great fit. They still run large—at least half size as before even though the 38 says it fits 7-7.5.

The fit was perfect but I am unable to wear them because the straps are cutting into the top of my foot and they feel as though I will slip out of them. I am contemplating sending them back because I am concerned about falling. The buckles are tight but foot keeps slipping.

The fit and size is fine, the style is super cute but disappointed in the quality. This is not typical of Birkenstock makes me question if this is a cheap copy. But from Zappos I would think it is the real deal. The glueing is sloppy and the edges of the cut leather are rough, not nice and clean. will reorder, hoping for better pair next time.

I love Birk Florida's but I have to admit the tan leather pair was majorly uncomfortable compared to my black pair that I bought last year.

I think the Floridas are very cute. Love the look. They seem smaller than other styles, such as the Arizona. I usually wear a 39 Birkenstock. The 39 Florida seems every so slightly too small (at least on one foot). But the 40 is too large. I find they flop side to side on the heel of one foot as well. In order to make that stop, I have to tighten the straps until they're digging into my foot. Strange. I wish these came in the traditional footbed.

Unfortunately, I was sent shoes two sizes too big. Zappos’ error. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t exchange the shoes. Instead, I have to return what I received and place a new order. Not efficient for customers.

Very disappointed in this purchase from Zappos. This is the 2nd time that I have received "new" shoes in poor condition. One of the shoes must have been in a window display. The brown leather was faded and cracking. The other shoe was in pefect condition. Needless to say, they went back and I did not reorder.

These are my go-to Birkenstocks. I have high arches and these sandals make my feet so happy. I can teach/stand in the classroom all day in them.

Birks have always been a great sandal. Have had numerous pairs over the years & greatly appreciate that Birkenstocks stay TRUE to their form, fit & styles! I think they believe in the old adage….”if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” Very comfortable sandals!

Love these shoes... were easy to break in with socks.

Though a lovely sandal, They rub against my bunion. I can’t wear them comfortably.

I love these!! They fit so well, the 3 straps is definitely my preference.

I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks for many years! I have a high arch and cannot go barefoot on hard floors, so I keep one pair for indoor use and these are my latest acquisition. I love how they look on my feet. This style is not as heavy and clunky looking as the 2 strap Arizona. Fit is perfect. I’ve worn a 38 since high school!

These are beautiful shoes, and I wish I could wear them. Medical problems are preventing this.

these were almost a yes except top pf my toes were at top edge of sandal

The shoe felt great, but I wish that the manufacturer would add a few more holes to the straps in order that one could could tighten the fit as the shoe stretches from wear.

So Comfy! Fit perfectly, and no break-in period, just instant comfort.

One of my arches hurt.

Love this Florida style of Birks and was happy to finally replace my very old worn out ones. Great for everyday wear. Bought the 38 & 39 and kept the 39 because the shoe base hit my arch better. I wear women’s 8 medium. These are a tad long but can adjust the buckles for that.

So comfy! And these look feminine and lovely.

I love all my Birkenstocks. These are comfortable and look great. I love the color.
