I wore Birkenstocks in the 90's and have come back to wearing them. The best advice I can give is to make sure they fit in both width and length. I bought a pair of 39 wides a couple summers ago and they were just too sloppy to ever be comfortable. I ordered a pair of pretty turquoise Floridas in size 39 regular, which is the skinny footprint on the shoe by the size, last year and found them very comfortable. I ordered these dark brown ones for a neutral pair to wear with everything. Great color!

This is very comfortable shoe. The soft footbed makes wearing these a breeze. I have a soft footbed pair of Arizona Birkenstocks as well but these are by far more feminine. The three straps enable you to adjust the shoe to fit your foot perfectly. I am a fan of leather shoes as they conform well to your foot. I've worn these shoes three or four times and they are already a favorite pair for casual wear. The oiled leather gives the shoe a neutral look that will go with almost every color. The suede shoes are a bit more dressy than the oiled leather but there is just something about oiled leather that really conforms to the foot but also holds its form. I would recommend this shoe to any one who needs comfort on the ball or heel of the foot. Additionally, this shoe gives good arch support.

Zappos return policy is so easy to use. I ordered the wrong size and they had the correct size out to me the next day.

This is the second pair of Birkenstocks that I have owned, I bought a pair of Mayaris last August and due to Birkibuc and constant wear they are now toast. Both pairs fit perfectly because I read reviews before I bought and knew how to order what would fit. I am hoping that the Florida being made of thicker leather will last longer. These shoes also have the softer footbed which I can definitely say is more comfortable. Both pairs of Birks I put on immediately right out of the box and have worn every waking minute since. I seriously doubt if I will ever change shoe brands for everyday wear and I know that I will never shop anywhere else but Zappos for all of my shoes!

I really like these Birkenstocks! They did take some time for me to break in but after about a week they were super comfortable. These Birkenstocks also run a little big so be aware of that. Overall I love these shoes and I will probably buy lots more pairs in the future.

I love these. Comfortable and cute, very stylish. I have wide feet, extremely hard to find sandals that fit well and these are perfect. Sizes run wide (Normal width = wide, Narrow width = closer to standard US width).

Birkenstocks are my favorite shoes of all time and the Florida Soft Footbed is the best pair I've tried. And Zappos is the best for getting them to me in an expedient manner. I had to ship them back twice to get the right size and they gave the return shipping was free both times. I cannot say enough about Zappos. They are amazing!

I envy those who claim they can put on Birkis and immediately hike all day. I'm still trying to break in the leather straps on these sandals weeks after my purchase. I do like the soft footbed, and I'm pretty sure they will eventually be comfortable. Wish we could get more exciting colors in leather versions, however. Mud brown and black get a bit old.

Have worn my Florida Soft Footbed Birks for more than a yr. as a house shoe. Had suffered from Plantar Faciitis for more than a yr. with different treatments and recommendations for shoes, ortho slippers, etc. with no relief. Had a pair of Birks many yrs. ago, so decided to get another pair, hoping they would provide the necessary support and relief for my painful foot. Wore them faithfully as "houseshoes" and will admit they were instrumental in my foot's treatment and healing. Continue to wear only my Birks as "houseshoes". Will be ordering another pair for outside, since my foot still reacts to regular shoes if worn often.

Love these, super comfy right from the start and the thinner straps are less clompy looking. Some people had recommended going with the narrow option, I tried those, but preferred the normal width, they are Birks, they aren't dainty shoes, but they are super comfortable!

It's so comfortable. I'm solid 7.5 American size and narrow-medium feet, ordered 38 narrow just right. Now I have two pairs Birkenstock and one pair Mephisto Halen. I wear all of them during summer, Florida is more for shorts and Halen for dresses. I will stick with those shoes for our all year round summer weather.

I was very pleased at the fast service with my Birkenstock order through Zappos...they were well packed and arrived in great shape. The shoes are a great fit, which I was worried about, since I had never ordered shoes through the mail. I haven't worn my shoes much yet; it's been too cold so can't give an honest opinion as of now...but my friend assures me that once I wear them more and get used to them that I won't wear anything but Birkenstocks. Very happy with Zappos site!

I love these shoes! I have plantar fasciitis and these are the perfect cure. I wish I could afford another pair! I also like the oiled leather look!

I bought these to wear after foot surgery. I've had Birkenstocks before, so I know the quality, comfort and the fact that they adjust...swollen foot after surgery. They are great shoes...my 84 year old mother only wears Birkenstocks...year round...with or without socks!

This is a 5 star sandal. soft footbed feels great. Real buckles, no hook and loop ripping sound. great quality. sizing is perfect, 38 fits a 7.5 size without any of that sizing up and down confusion that other top brands that cost twice as much put me through. width is perfect for natural walking. I'm through looking for wides in every other brand. Birkenstock says my width is Normal. So nice!

I have had surgery on both my feet & am always searching for a shoe to wear that does not give me pain or cause me fatigue. This sandal is comfortable all day. I love that I can adjust it with the buckles.

The soft bed is great. Wish there were more styles by Birkenstock/Birki with soft bed option as it is the only kind I wear now.

This is my 4th pair. I love these! I always had blue but these are my favorite. I love the texture and color and of course they fit great!

Love, love, love the soft foot bed! I have a crooked toe that tends to curve underneath the toe next to it. The soft foot bed is just cushy enough in combination with the Birkenstock toe ridge, to keep that toe aligned. I normally wear a 7-1/2 to 8 N in most shoes. I've been wearing 38N in Birkenstocks forever. It's a perfect fit. The Habana oiled leather is soft and rustic-looking - beautiful. This is my first Florida. I usually pick the classic Arizonas, but they aren't available in the Habana leather with the soft foot bed. I think I will like the Florida, because the three straps allow good adjustment.

Had foot pain due to wearing too many flat shoes. These are now my go to shoes and I haven't suffered any more foot pain. They're not the prettiest but man do they conform to the shape of your feet and feel like an extension of your foot! I did need a breaking in period -- one of the straps rubbed my skin raw for a couple days at first but then that stopped -- and this is coming from someone who has the most ridiculously blister-prone sensitive foot skin ever. Worth every penny. Got dark chocolate color which goes with nearly everything.

Great shoes. Needed shoes with more support. Ordered Birks in another, more feminine style (Granada) and the left foot just wasn't quite right -- too narrow. Sent that back and picked this one in the same size and crossed my fingers. Turns out to be perfect! Felt right immediately & becomes more comfy as I break them in. Very first day I did have some mild chafing where one of the straps touched my skin but I have ridiculously sensitive feet that are very prone to blisters. Skipped wearing them a day and now no chafing problems! Got them in the dark chocolate color -- should go with virtually anything!

I'd wear these every day if I could. They take a little breaking-in, but once the leather straps soften up a bit, they are the best. The three straps allow you to customize the fit to your foot, and you can tighten them as the leather stretches. I owned my last pair for 15 years before the sole finally wore through to the cork. I fully expect this pair to last at least that long.

These Birks are the bomb! I love them and wear them every night when I get home from work. I often wear them to work on casual Friday's as well. My feet feel remarkable wearing these Birks!
