I have been wearing Imperials for at least 40 years. I have always bought 10D. I have several pairs and colors. Just received a pair from Florsheim. The shoe is loose at the heal and generally wider maybe even a 1/2 size larger. I made the mistake of wearing them to an event or I would have returned them. I took them to a shoemaker to have a leather heel insert installed which only helped a little - heel still squeeks. I think Florsheim is outsourcing and the quality is not the same. The weight of the shoe seems lighter and sole thinner. I considered Imperials to be part of the American dream - I was really bonded to those shoes. Thanks for asking, Stan Erickson

The upper on the cordovan pair was not properly attached to the sole; there is a gap. The black pair had a defect in the finish of the left shoe.

I have had shoes from the imperial line for a few decades. I like the color; it has been a while since there was something that looked good for my brownish suites. I ordered my usual 13, but there was heal movement what could cause blisters; this never happened before. they are now at the shoe makers havin g something placed in the heal to solve the problem.

Hi, This is my first pair of Florsheims. Unfortunately the black leather trim seems to be of poor quality around the foot hole. It rubbed off like paper the first time I put the shoe on, even with a horn. I've decided to break them in and wear them casually instead of keeping them as a dress shoe...I'm not sure I made the right purchase.

Price is good, fit is good. Finish is only fair. Wary of shoes made in India- bad experiences with other brands- will see how these hold up.

I bought both the black and brown pair of the Kenmoor's. When I got them, they were very, very stiff and the leather looked the same - stiff. Right off the bat the black pair I had caused me blisters. I thought they just needed breaking in... Even once broken in, they still weren't any better. I sent them back. Then the brown pair had the same issue. The leather creases VERY easily and they are entirely too stiff if you ask me. I wasn't expecting that from a brand that I know and trust.

I bought this shoes at one of the Florsheim shop at Jakarta Mall in Indonesia. I like the shoes but I feel my foot is too tight, Little flesibity would be great. Thanks

This shoe looks good but it is a little pricey for what you get. I have shoes from other brands in the 200 price range and these are inferrer to my others. The heal is also very loose. If you can get this on sale half price then got for it. I ordered it to Canada for 225 plus 40 for shipping which is too much. For 265 I could have got 2 pairs of shoes comparable in quality at a local store.

These shoes look great and are very comfortable after a short break in period. But I must have gotten a bad sole because within six months of moderate use the tip of the sole had worn down so much the stitching had come through. Zappos was great and provided 100% credit with no hassles but I miss my shoes. May try another to see if mine had bad leather!

I like the leather much better on my old 1970's Kenmoor. It is softer and less corrected. Mine feels like a clearcoated hard, plasticy looking leather. Does not take on much other color from polish. Very hard to break in. Hard to stretch at toes. Solid feel. Padded heel extends too far toward arch. Not quality of old. Stitching is good. Soles are good. Fit is excellent.

Same as many other reviewers, I love my older Kenmoors. This newer model has the same great quality sole, but not with nailed soles. The weakness is the stiff, corrected leather. I give it about 3 out of 10 in quality. Inferior to my Aldens and Churches. Allen Edmonds is better leather, but poorer fit for me. The creasing is inferior on this shoe. It takes a good shine, but quite plasticy and cheap appearing leather.I will be going to [@] to buy used ones in the future.

I've had this shoe for about 6 weeks. Good shoe, but not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I wanted to check it out in a store first, but I couldn't find a local store. For [$] I expected a shoe that 'wrapped itself around my foot' but that is not what I got. It is stiff and my feet sweat more than usual (does not breathe well). Looks good in a business setting and will probably become more comrotable as I wear it. I am a little disappointed in the value.

I had very high hopes for this replacement as I had owned a pair made in the USA but was lost during a move. I don't believe that for the price it lives up to the Florsheim name. Somewhat disappointed by this purchase. Caveat Emptor!

I bought the exact same size and width as my current ones. Didn't have any trouble with my current ones. These are extremely stiff. Can't even start to get them on. I am ordering shoe stretcher hopefully will help. Very disappointed

I bought the exact same size and width as my current ones. These are not soft and flexible at all. I can't even start to get my foot in them. Both pairs are the exact same. I am ordering shoe stretcher to see if that helps.

Not the same quality as previous purchases of the Imperial range. And burgundy colour in ad didn't match shoe. Only time I've ever been disappointed by a Florsheim product.

Ordered the product in my normal shoe size and it's way too big for me. Wore it once now I'm stuck with the shoes. Have other pairs of Florsheim in my size but these are too big

I am very grateful as these are a very nice pair of shoes, however I spent alot of extra money for leather soles. Do any of your dress shoes still have leather soles?

Nice shoe except a nail was protruding from the heel and scratched my hardwood floor. While I was able to hammer the nail in, it's not something you expect after paying more than $200 for a pair of shoes.

Terrible clunky shoe of poor quality. Not worth half the price I paid. Last pair of Florsheims for me. Sticking with Allen Edmonds or Alden going forward.

Definitely nice construction but the quality of leather is poor. I bought these thinking they would be on par with the kenmoor of prior decades; they are not. If you're looking for that type of quality, go buy Alden. These shoes have corrected grain (plastic like) leather. Good entry level shoe, but at this price point there are much better options. Credits to florsheim customer service for accepting my return.

I originally ordered my usual dress shoe size, and found on delivery that the shoes were much too large. Because the size need base on subsequent consultation with the service representative was not in stock and was not anticipated to be for 4-6 weeks, I had to settle for a refund, which thankfully was expedited quickly. It is frustrating to try to purchase a shoe that few if any retailers will stock any longer, making accurate size/fit selections difficult.
